Limited Edition.3 Burger
[FULL MASTERLIST] [Limited Edition Master list]
Beta: N/A Rating: All audiences Genre: Fantasy, Comedy, Fluffy Fluff, Adventure. Pairing: Bts x Friend!Reader Words: 1.3K
Summary: It is your first time buying proper merchandise, there are new chibi figurines and the first person to order will recieve a limited edition set. But what happens when BTS have gone missing without a trace and a few days later you receive your package. The box says congratulations, you open to find your limited edition figures, they look so lifelike. OH WAIT! it’s cause they are.

"Anything else?" You asked them, holding in a bright smile and suppressing several squeals. They were just so adorable they could fit on your palm. You had to remain somewhat serious while these tiny men, they were still adults.
So you made sure to discuss their order with the utmost professionalism. Each agreeing to eat one burger between themselves and share a small sprite on Hoseok’s insistence.
Taking the phone you added something for yourself and hurriedly placed the order. You knew you could eat their leftovers and save yourself money, but you weren’t that close yet and thought it too intimate. “It will be here in fifteen minutes, in the meantime. I have to make a grocery list.”
You pulled out a pen and paper and started writing down your usual things like milk, bread, meat, cereal but you froze. Would they get sick with the sudden change of diet, what was their usual meals in Korea.
“What do you boys want to eat?” They thought for a brief moment before shouting out some suggestions.
“Kimchi fried rice”
“Samgyeopsal”
“Seolleongtang”
Freezing in place, you didn’t know how to make any of these things. As you wrote them down, Seokjin must have noticed your confusion and touched Jungkook’s shoulder. He gave the younger boys a look trying to calm their enthusiasm.
“We would be happy with whatever you make, we can’t expect you to know how to cook all these things” The eldest assured you, the boys all deflated looking embarrassed.
“I like spaghetti” Jungkook looked up hopeful and you wrote it down with a smile. That you definitely knew how to make.
“Steak” Namjoon grinned then held out his small hands in defense “Only If it is not too expensive”
While you waited for your food to arrive, you began thinking about where they would sleep and what they needed to live. They would have to go to the toilet and shower and so much more. You didn't know how this would work. Wanting to give them independence and privacy whilst also wanting to protect them from harm. Heaven forbid any of them, got hurt, or drowned in the toilet.
The food arrived, breaking you out of your thoughts. Everyone all gathered around, You unwrapped their burger and sat watching them while enjoying your own meal. Taehyung excitedly ripped open a ketchup sachet and proceeded to splatter sauce everywhere.
They all froze mouths hanging open in shock, the ketchup splashed across the bench. Pressing your lips shut tight you tried to hold yourself together. They turned to you as a collective trying to gauge your reaction, but you turned away unable to hide the shaking of your shoulders.
“Are you upset?” Taehyung’s voice a feeble sound, as he placed his hand on your elbow. You could feel the tears rolling down your cheeks.
“We will clean it up” Jimin called and they tried to grab a napkin from the bag, Seokjin and Jungkook grabbed the napkin at the same time and Jungkook ended up pulling too hard and Seokjin ended up tackling Jungkook.
You couldn’t hold it in. Laughing hysterically the tears flowing, you walked away with your hands on your sides. “I don’t think she was mad” Hoseok giggled taking a bite of the burger and pointing. “She has a cute laugh though.”
After lunch shenanigans, you were lost in thought once more. How could you bring up such an issue, like toileting and showering they were not only celebrities but they were boys.
"What do I do about your toilet and shower habits, I don't mean to be weird.” You blushed, “it's just, I don't want you getting hurt falling into the toilet or basin or anything"
They blushed "Oh, we will figure it out. Please do not worry."
"I might be able to make something" you hummed and began brainstorming. “Can you hold on for a little while while I make you some toileting facilities?”
“Actually I have to pee?” Hoseok blushed, you wondered how you would go about this, when they all nervously admitted they needed to go as well.
“We can just go outside we are boys” Namjoon assured you, scooping them up, you carried them outside. Turning around to giving them privacy in the grass. You were humiliated for them but what else could you do?
“I am so sorry, I will make something work”
“Please do not stress we are boys and human just like anyone else”
“Except now really tiny” They looked at each other and you bit your lip snorting, “Sorry I have been holding it in but, you are all so cute, anyone this small would be”
They seemed to relax watching you slowly grow comfortable enough to talk more freely. Giving them your iPad you sat them on your bed with a plate of the few leftover snacks from your pantry. They were quick to open Netflix and argue over movies.
“Watch this one.” You selected one at random “Not only does me choosing the show stop you arguing, but I also want to watch it, so you have to report to me if it is any good. I will be back as quick as I can be, please don't get hurt”
Racing to the mall you went into a multitude of shops. The first was the most important a toy shop, where you bought a dollhouse one that had working lights. At the craft warehouse, you bought a bunch of fabric, foam, and elastic. From the town’s hardware store you purchased a large length of thin black hose, silicone, thin metal, and some thin balsa wood. After that you quickly walked the grocery store, before you driving home exhausted but excited.
You had never been so creative in your life but there were so many videos and tutorials only, especially for mini cooking so when you got home, you immediately got to work. You began by modifying the dollhouse bathroom adding tiny black hoses as piping. You added little pipes to a few water bottles you had outside of the house the bottles would act as little water tanks.
Once the bathroom was done you began on making their beds taking the simple bed frames and painted them. You got up stretching your back, neck, and shoulders before heading out to make a small amount of dinner which was some cheap ramen. Making sure to test the dollhouse lights, it was a success but the rooms were so old fashioned.
The cupboards attached to the walls had working drawers and each had a few clothes hangers inside. You removed all the dolls and moveable furniture and began making mattresses out of foam and covering them in some fabric. You were so thankful for the sewing machine you had inherited from your grandmother and the few pillowcases you had made in home economics back in school.
In no time you had made enough beds for the seven and with the leftover foam two long couches. You used the extra fabric to make curtains and yawned checking the time. It was midnight and the boys were asleep on your bed. You pressed on, you needed this to be complete for them, they were real adult people despite their size and wouldn’t enjoy being treated like babies.
You took the time following a tutorial and eventually made a working stove that worked with a tea light candle you had fished out from your emergency kit. Looking over the house you knew you couldn’t get everything done before morning so you decided to make everything look pretty.
You took different paints and painted the rooms soft colors, made the beds, and with a few popsicle sticks and string you made them tiny pictures for above their beds. Happy, that they came with clothes so they would have enough to wear without you making more things. You weren’t ready to make clothes that small.
Setting the dollhouse securely on your large computer desk, it was three am and you were covered in wood chips, paint, and glue. Deciding it was best if you had a shower before bed. Taking a hot shower to work the aches and pains from your neck, you could have almost fallen asleep under the all-encompassing stream of hot water.

Pixelmator Photo for iPad
This will take awhile to get to the point so if you’re interested, buckle in for a winding, drawn out reason about why I’m not switching to Pixelmator Photo as much as I want to.
I’m an avid Lightroom CC user. I have never used Photoshop, not because I don’t want to but because I’m too stupid.
In the past I was an Aperture user and it never clicked. The catalogue was too confusing to me. Again, stupid. When it was discontinued I switched to Lightroom and have done well with it since. Adobe later released Lightroom Mobile (now the cross-platform Lightroom CC) during the time I had adopted a heavy iPhone/iPad travel workflow and I grew up with the program. Lightroom was straightforward and essentially offers the simple tools that I used in the darkroom- dodging and burning, with digital exposure and color edits. Plus a little more.
I have had a strange fascination with Pixelmator for years. Many times since 2012 I’ve tried to use Pixelmator which is a layers based graphics editor. The price was right and they were an Apple only product that worked to make the most of the Apple hardware. They even released a mobile app with some of the core features. But again it’s a layers based editor and if I couldn’t figure out Photoshop this wasn’t going to help me. I looked often for tutorials to learn the software but they weren’t available like they are for Adobe products.
When Pixelmator Pro for the Mac was being released last year I was fully ready to make an attempt at using it and abandoning Lightroom.
Why would I leave Adobe? I don’t like that I’m boxed into one system. I pay 20 dollars a month for the photography Creative Cloud account with 2 TB of data. I have to be very careful with that catalogue as I go because 2TB isn’t a lot for a full and active catalogue over years, even with mindful archiving. And I’m managing two different photography catalogues- Lightroom and Apple Photos. Finally, the way you import photographs into Lightroom on the iPad or iPhone is plain silly, but that’s really on Apple and we’re not going to get into file management on iOS because that’s a dead horse for now (until some future iOS iteration).
But the big reason was: “minimalism”.
Over 2018 I started doing a deep dive into my life again. A significant breakup, several moves, and a job change made me evaluate everything. I adopted minimalism around 2009 when I started paring down my belongings and moved into a small loft apartment. When I moved to Rhode Island in 2011 I sold almost everything I owned then put an add on Craigslist to come get the rest for free and people swooped in en masse. I kept things lightweight as possible but things creep back in. My digital files were a mess. Papers kept following me around the country. When I lived on the Rez it was like Little House On The Prairie and I bought enough supplies and things to fix anything and felt I needed a lot of comforts. “Things” piled up. Tools, paint, gardening tools, furniture, home gym equipment, entertainment. By late 2016 I was maintaining 3 addresses over 3 states with homes and ‘stuff’ in all of them, a lot of it duplicated. Then I had to pack up all of the places and put them into storage and nothing makes you realize how crazy your life is than rampant disorganization, poor sleep, and putting your hands on every single thing you own. I literally started having recurring dreams about boxes of papers.
While I was traveling I couldn’t manage my physical things but I could manage my finances and digital assets. I was shocked by how many apps and pieces of software I owned or had a subscription to. I made the spreadsheet that showed monthly recurring charges and a lot showed up and were pared down. And this drew my eye to the Adobe subscription. It has jumped up from 9.99 a month to 19.99. 240 dollars a year every year. I can afford it and I use it aggressively but did I need it at that price?
iOS has become my main platform for doing everything. The iPhone alone can do most things you need and when you need the luxury of a bigger screen go to an iPad. When I watch or read reviews of any iPad people talk about how it can’t replace a computer and it makes me nuts. What does anyone do on a computer besides browse the web, shop, message your friends, watch YouTube and Netflix, and check email, and write (in that order)? iOS is fine for 99.99 percent of people except working graphics and video professionals, engineers, architects, and medical professionals (because medical software is the worst on earth and just can’t function on anything except a 12 year old Windows PC). I find working on an iPad is far more efficient than working on a Mac both digitally and physically. The ergonomics of touch with a Smart Keyboard are just better than keyboard and mouse (there is a reason the keyboard is so short- it’s so you can reach the screen easily). I edit photos with a pencil. I manipulate windows and screens like Minority Report. When I want to read something my ‘computer’ turns into a book/magazine/comic book/magical future tablet. I believe that my next Mac upgrade will likely be the last traditional computer I ever buy.
That aside over when I evaluated my tools, a lot of software like Word and Ulysesss, Byword, Simplenote, Evernote and OneNote, were abandoned for free, excellent software that came with my devices. Notes and Pages took over drafting, writing, and note collection. iCloud Drive replaced Dropbox, Music replaced Spotify. It kept everything neat, my data and privacy were secure and organized in one place, and I took the time to master the software. Where I had limped along on Excel for decades, I buckled down and did the full Lynda.com Numbers course and for the first time spreadsheets stopped being mysterious things nerds used to optimize their lives and instead became easily accessible tools that helped me solved real problems. A lot of this was also pushed by many of the privacy concerns arising in digital ecosystems (Facebook, Google, apps sending data out that users are unaware of, etc.).
But besides managing my day to day life and writing what do I use my tech for?
Photography.
Could I get rid of all of these photo editing apps? I adore shooting and editing on my iPhone and I seriously considered selling all of my cameras and becoming an iPhone only photographer. But different working opportunities continue to present themselves and so I kept using ‘real’ cameras and instead focused on addressing the software. Snapseed left. It’s a terrific app but I can do everything in Snapseed with Lightroom, but better. And I don’t trust Google anyway. All of the other silly one off apps disappeared too. They were niche cases and often all I needed was to dig into Lightroom to figure out how to replace them. But could I replace Lightroom with free Apple software?
Aperture was discontinued by Apple in 2015 (and it was definitely not free). The people who fully embraced it loved it, probably in the way people love Final Cut Pro. It was a different beast than their consumer product iPhoto which most people were familiar with and used without issue, mostly for collecting their images but also for doing basic editing. Apple replaced iPhoto with Photos (minimalism) with the emphasis on the iCloud Photos library and cataloguing. But on MacOS they were sneaking some Aperture features in on later releases like curves. It seemed like they were beefing up the Photos app for greater things and these features seemed to be mirrored onto the iOS versions of the app. With the release of the iPad Pro and the Apple Pencil it seemed like any week Apple would release some brushes but they didn’t. Instead you were stuck with very basic global edits (and of course stupid filters) and didn’t even have access to the MacOS features like HSL.
But you could open photos in other apps. Like Pixelmator for iOS. And... it didn’t work. It was a garbage dream and ultimately nothing was able to replace the features I used all the time in Lightroom CC, specifically: editing metadata, the gradient and radial filters, and dehaze. Add to that geometric perspective correction and the fact that on the Mac Lightroom CC was adding in Photoshop/Lightroom Classic features like panoramic merge and more.
When Pixelmator announced they were releasing a photography (vs graphic design) focused app, and that it was for the iPad I was thrilled. I signed up for email updates and trolled the web periodically for information. When it arrived (at the phenomenal price of 4.99) I had already preordered it. I downloaded it and got to work straight away. I love that it uses either Photos or Files for the catalogue (easier to manage and takes out a step used in Lightroom). And that’s it for the good. It uses Machine Learning. They want you to know that. They’ve pushed the hardware in the iPad. I believe it. But their big focus is on automagic edits and cropping, filter presets, and global edits. Honestly I can get that from Photos.app.
There are no brushes, no focal dodging and burning, no radial or gradient filters. It’s 2019, the iPad has this amazing Pencil, and neither Apple nor Pixelmator are taking advantage of it. If I cannot dodge or burn specific areas of a photograph, I am doing worse than I was in the chemical darkroom in 1997.
Photos.app needs to also beef up for me to use Pixelmator, specifically adding brushes and filters and one or the other needs to add the ability to batch edit photos.
In addition they need to add an iPhone app because I often edit only on my phone.
We’ll see what Pixelmator adds in the future. I’m sure I’ll still be paying attention for some reason.
Originally, about 6 months ago, this article was going to be about how I was going to switch from the yearly subscription of Adobe to Pixelmator but every time I tried to move my workflow over with serious photography I stuck with Lightroom CC because the tools are so strong. Without those tools I’m not going to use another photo editor. And I know there are others like Affinity Photo. For some reason I’m not interested. I just had this weird obsession with Pixelmator.
So that leaves me with what this article is about. I started deleting the original version of Pixelmator off of my iOS devices and Mac because I just don’t use it. Pixelmator became the thing to remove. It became an exercise of giving up the goat and not worrying so much about digital minimalism as using a tool that works and I that lets me be an artist. When I’m working professionally I can’t imagine not using Lightroom. And I use Lightroom CC which is considered ‘light’ anyway (but that’s foolish and something I should address later if people want me to). They’ve also recently added the features I wanted like stitching panoramas so for me it’s feature complete. It’s just the duplication of catalogues, online space, and the monthly fee that drive me crazy.
I’ve been making attempts of various strength since 2012 to use versions of Pixelmator and I’m not sure why it has seemed so important to me. I don’t need to use an app that makes global edits to a photo when I need to brighten eyes or increase the contrast in select areas of landscapes. I just need to use Lightroom.

Journal - How to Create Photorealistic Architectural Renderings Using Unreal Engine 4
Ronen Bekerman is an industry leader in Architectural Visualization who hosts in-depth tutorials on his specialist blog. Architizer is pleased to present a selection of these guides written by some of the world’s best rendering artists.
Keeping on the trail we took in the previous installment of this series, “A Photographic Approach to Architectural Visualization“, we will check how these effects can be transported into the world of real-time, more specifically with Unreal Engine as the champion of game engines making their way into the realm of ArchViz. To present this case, let’s take a trip down memory lane starting at the point that sparked it all for me and for the ArchViz community at large as well.
Here, Lasse Rode of Berlin-based studio xoio takes Unreal Engine for a good spin as he strives for photorealism using a real-time tool. He does this with his great-looking, and mostly white, Berlin Flat scene as seen on the forums. Follow along as Lasse explains getting started with Unreal Engine 4. Enjoy it!
Introduction
My name is Lasse Rode, and I am part of studio xoio. We are a small agency specializing in visualization and illustration works for architecture and product marketing. Usually we work in a kind of “traditional” 3D environment utilizing applications such as 3ds Max and the like. We are constantly checking out new rendering engines and currently making big use of Corona Renderer, V-Ray and Octane. Each engine has its strengths, and we always try to use it like that: each for the best purpose.
Lasse Rode’s modeling techniques enable realistic renderings to be created in a relatively short amount of time; images via Corona Renderer.
Back in August 2014, I stumbled upon some drop dead gorgeous Unreal Engine 4 architectural visualization tests by Frenchman Koola, which immediately reminded me “The Third & The Seventh” by Alex Roman, only this time it was done in REAL-time.
In my eyes there have been several main trends within our industry: The strive for (photo)realism and becoming faster — if not real time. Not having to wait for your rendering to come out of your render farm was always a dream for us — especially when rendering animations!
For a long time, the main downside of the “real-time-thing” was the lack of quality you could achieve compared with pre-rendered still images or animations. So even though it looked very interesting, the application of it in a visualization context seemed hard to imagine. And honestly, the “gamey” look of it made it hard to sell for high-demanding clients from the architecture and brand fields.
This has changed rapidly. The results possible with real-time engines today are very beautiful and convincing!
Why Unreal Engine?
The release of UE4 gained a lot of attention within our industry, and the possibilities seemed to be endless. The PBR (Physically Based Rendering) material system and the easy-to-use importing pipeline for getting your models into the Unreal Engine were the most compelling reasons for us to give it a try — in addition to the quality of output possible! If you have seen the work of Koola (also available as a download in the Unreal Engine Marketplace), which went viral some weeks ago, you are probably as convinced as we are that Unreal Engine 4 is capable of impressive quality.
In the following article, I want to give you an outline of the workflow I used to make the Berlin Flat scene you can download from the Marketplace and share some techniques and tricks I came across during the process. Some of them I found myself, while others are derived from information I found on the web. The Unreal Engine Forums and Documentation are a vast and great resource, as are the starter content that comes with the engine and the assets and scenes you can get from the Marketplace.
The Berlin Flat
I made a series of images of this flat in a historic building in Berlin at the beginning of 2013 using 3ds Max with the Corona Renderer. It’s a flexible way of handling the color-mapping, which really helped to pull off the very whitish mood of the whole set. This actually was also the reason for choosing it when giving UE4 a try.
I noticed UE4 being very successfully used on scenes with gloomy lighting and busy textures. I suspected it to be not that easy to get precise shadows and GI within an ultra-white interior. And honestly: It is a tricky task!
Above is one of the original renders done with 3ds Max and Corona Renderer. To have a look at the entire set, click here. Below is the UE4 video made with this scene …

The Original Scene
The entire model was done in 3ds Max in a rush, so I actually detailed only the parts that are visible in the final images. Of course, this is an approach that is not possible in a real-time environment. Repurposing the scene for use with Unreal Engine, I had to reduce the scope a bit because furnishing and detailing the complete space would have taken too much time for testing purposes. I decided to export only two rooms: the ones you see on the lower part of the screenshot below.
Exporting the Geometry for Unreal Engine
This is a very easy task IF you keep some things in mind!
It makes sense to split things up a bit. Because the lightmass is calculated with a separate map for every object, it is good to be a bit careful with high values especially on big plain objects like walls and ceiling. Because of this, I only exported the inner faces of the walls that we actually see.
I also added a bit to the top and bottom of the walls to intersect them later with the ceilings. I found this to be a good way to prevent “light leaks” — lighting artifacts that happen when geometry is not closed or not intersecting. This is no problem when having a gloomy scene with lots of busy textures, but because we are going to have an ultra-white space, it is important to get as precise GI as possible, especially in the corners.
The second crucial thing is to create unwrapped UV coordinated for the channel the GI is going to be stored in by Unreal Engine’s lightmass calculation. In 3ds Max, this would be UV-channel 2.
Channel 1 is for use by all the other textures like diffuse, roughness, normal, etc. Unreal Engine counts the channels starting from 0, which can cause some confusion in the beginning — but once you get it, it is fairly simple.
Note: Unwrapping is only important for the light-map channel! For the texture channel, any kind of mapping can work, such as cubic or cylindrical mapping. In most cases, a simple “flatten mapping” in 3ds Max unwrap does the job to create sufficient UV-coordinates!
If you want to put your scene together in UE4 like it has been in your Max-scene, it is good to leave the entire “space” in place when exporting because the object’s coordinates are easier to align. For single objects like chairs and other assets, it is very comfortable to export it only once and install them in your Unreal Engine scene. For this purpose, it is good to move them near the center of your 3ds Max scene because the new object’s pivot in Unreal Engine will be there.
I used high-poly geometry without any LOD (Level of Detail) simplification. This is only recommended in small scenes like this one, but because I’m after a smooth experience and don’t want to have any jagged edges on my furniture, this was logical for me. I have no doubt there’s room for optimization, though!
Make sure your assets are merged into one object and have different material-IDs applied to handle the different materials later in UE4. Then, save your geometry as an FBX file and off you go over to the Unreal Engine editor!
Importing Into Unreal Engine 4
Importing FBX files into Unreal Engine 4 works pretty smooth! I did it in several steps.
I prepared different files that made sense:
The geometry of the room in a separate FBX file
Different file for the assets, each with some objects in them
Just make sure to uncheck the “Combine Meshes” to receive your objects separately and not baked into a single mesh!
Materials
I’m a very straightforward guy and a big fan of simple setups! It’s a philosophical thing, but achieving things with the least effort possible is far superior to using a setup only you understand or you can’t remember when opening a scene half a year later.
So this example of a shader is very simple, consisting of a diffuse map, desaturated and blended with black color. The same map is then color corrected and inverted to put into the roughness channel of the material. Done.
A normal map would have been too much here, but feel free to explore the materials for yourself in the scene!
Here you see the wood material applied to the chairs and the table — a dark dyed wood with a crisp matte reflection revealing the wood structure and texture.
In this image you see two more materials that might be of interest: firstly the curtain, which is backlit by sunlight and is a two-sided material:
You have to set the Shading Model to “Subsurface” and add a constant node with a value smaller than 1 and wire it to the Opacity property of your material to get this effect.
Secondly, the jar in the foreground has a very simple glass material:
It has a fairly dark diffuse color, zero roughness and a high specular value. I also involved a Fresnel-node with a value of 1.5 to control the opacity and refraction. There are a lot more complex ways to generate more realistic glass — but I honestly had some trouble to really get control over that, so this easy glass seems to be good enough.
Note that I checked “Two Sided” and set Translucency Lighting Mode to “TLM Surface” in the Details tab on the left.
One other material I want to show here as well is the floor because this one is the only one to have a normal map applied:
Here you see a material defined by a diffuse color, a roughness texture and a normal map. The diffuse color is a simple very light gray, defined by a 4-value constant.
Roughness looks a bit more complex: On the left, you see the same map three times scaled differently with a TexCoord node. The red channel of each is then multiplied with the others and then wired as an alpha into a Linear interpolation node (Lerp) to blend to values; 0.3 and 0.2 in this example to get a subtle noisy reflection on the floor planks. This is then fine tuned with a “Power” node to get just the right amount of roughness that looks OK.
The normal map again is influenced by a TexCoord and is then flattened a fair amount via a “FlattenNormal” node to get a subtle relief on the material.
Preparing the Assets
Before dropping the assets into your scene, it is always best to apply the materials onto them within the geometry editor. You only have to do it once and can still apply different materials in the main scene if needed. This is a fast process: Here you see it is important to apply different Material-IDs to your objects to put the different materials where they belong!
Building the Scene
This is kind of brief, but: Put the thing together. First you have to drag in the room geometry. The best way is to select all the parts needed and drag and drop them into the empty scene. Afterwards all the furniture and assets have to be placed in the environment.
Here you don’t see the back faces of the outer walls. As I’ve explained above: They are only single-sided for better lightmass calculation.
For this exact purpose it is also good to set the lightmap resolution for your larger objects to a high value, for the walls I set it at 2048, for example.
As mentioned above, light leaks can be an issue. To prevent these, I put black boxes around the whole scene. It looks kind of messy from the outside — though more clean on the inside!
Lighting and Lightmass
The lighting is also a fairly simple setup: I used the “Koola method” — a combination of a sun and planes with spotlights in front of the window to simulate a skylight. It is rather effective and easy to control!
To calculate the global illumination, only a few tweaks are important:
I drastically increased the lighting bounces and the indirect lighting quality. I also decreased the smoothness to 0.6. Details are pronounced better and the shadows don’t wash away so much.
Further to this, I set the direct lighting to a dynamic shadow, which is important to have the light moving later in the animation!
The last step before hitting “Build” is to set the Lighting Quality to “Production”!
This should result in smooth lighting everywhere.
Actually when getting to this point the first time, I was kind of thrilled! This is actually the strongest part of this engine: to thrill you. Being able to move inside my “rendering” in real time was really a delightful moment!
Post Processing
One of the greatest features is the possibility to apply color correction and camera effects just within the editor. This can be done with a Post Process Volume for global settings. I did some tweaks on the saturation, fringing and vignette, the bloom, disabled the auto exposure by setting the min. and max. values to 1 and increased the overall brightness by setting the Exposure Bias to 1.42. I also added a lens flare, which I find really awesome happening in real time!
Setting up the Animation
The ability to move freely inside the scene makes doing animation a very easy and pleasing task because of the instant-feedback nature of the real-time environment. As a frequent user of compositing software, it took not much time for me to adapt to the integrated Matinee tool and set up an animation.
First thing to do is setting up a Matinee Actor.
When opening Matinee, you will see a window with a track section and a curve editor.
Setting up the cameras and animation work is very self-explanatory. Motion is controlled by key frames and curves just like any other animation software. Also the “cutting” work is done just within the Matinee editor.
I created a couple cameras moving slowly through the space: Seeing exactly what you are doing really helps to tweak the timing of cuts and speed of camera movement!
You can see the camera trajectories just in the editor and control the editing on the fly! After getting the rough “cut” done in Matinee, I then exported the complete animation as an AVI and fine-tuned it in Premiere and aligned it to the music.
Conclusion
The entire process starting at exporting from 3ds Max and importing into Unreal Engine 4, working out the shading and lighting to produce the animation and then posting on YouTube took me about one day. This speed is unheard of in ArchViz and reflects very much the key potential that lies in the use of Unreal Engine 4 for visualization works.
Some screenshot details from the animation
The absence of render times in terms of “producing” images really makes the process of creation very flexible and free. The fast feedback of your action is the real revolution!
We are constantly thinking and testing the possibilities of applying this kind of production and workflow into our daily work and our environment as a whole.
There are a lot of possible applications, and we are very eager to explore them!
I hope I gave some insight into my motivation and process and wish a lot of fun with the Berlin flat scene.
Kind regards,
Lasse.

Beautiful In White (M)
Pairing: Jungkook x Reader
Summary: Adorned in an exquisite ivory A-line dress, you’re the most beautiful Jungkook has ever seen you. After all, it is your wedding day.
Word Count: 7,182
Genre: Angst (?), smut
A/N: Everything in italics are flashbacks.
Beautiful.
The only word that could come close to describing your mere presence as he watches you weave your way through the round tables. You’re being pulled into an awkward hug every second by guests as they try to figure out how to overcome the barrier that is your dress without ruining your hair and makeup. He watches as you converse animatedly with the guests, some of whom he does and does not recognize.
You tuck the strands of hair that frame your face behind your ear, only to have them fall back to where they were just seconds ago, but he still manages to get a brief view of your face. Your cheeks are stained with a light pink tint, your lashes expertly curled in a way that showcased the eyes Jungkook fell in love with, face properly contoured – a term which Jungkook unwillingly learned after having to watch too-many-to-count make up tutorials with you – and your lips, smothered in god knows how many different brands of lipsticks. The end result of four hours of makeup was nothing short of perfection.
Jungkook mentally curses the stupid rules and superstitions that forbid him from seeing the bride before the wedding day.
This time, you’re being dragged to a table at the far right end of the room by one of your friends, someone Jungkook doesn’t know the name of but recognizes because he remembers stalking your Facebook friends with you when you were deciding on the guest list. He can’t help but gasp audibly when he sees your back turned to him, allowing him to get a full view of the dress you’re in. The fitted bodice hugged you in all the right places, emphasizing the perfect body line in which Jungkook’s hands has grown accustomed to. The dress further accentuated your figure as it flared to the bottom in multiple layers of sheer fabric, swaying easily with every movement of yours as your friends made you twirl around. The intricate embroidery of the lace fabric against your skin were like painted flowers on a flawless canvas.
Jungkook didn’t think it would ever be possible to be jealous over an inanimate object but he was, for he wished that his arms could replace the extravagant material that wrapped around your body with so much tightness. He didn’t think it would be possible for you to top that yellow summer dress either, the one you wore on your first date with him, his favourite dress of yours. He didn’t think that anything could ever rival that simple thirty-dollar yellow dress you had bought on a whim, but he was proven wrong as he was completely mesmerized by the sight of you in a lavish wedding dress.
Suddenly the eight-letter word didn’t seem to serve you any justice. You were undeniably the most stunning being Jungkook has ever laid his eyes upon. It is a thought that had crossed his mind the first time he had met you two years ago and unsurprisingly, the thought had never once left. But tonight was something else. Tonight, he was blown away by your appearance. People always say that women look the most beautiful on their wedding day and tonight you proved that theory to be correct.
The melodic sound of your voice penetrates through the boisterous chatters of the guests and the music, striking his eardrums – its vibrations matching his quickly pulsating heart. He can hear your laugh ever so clearly amidst the chaos in the background, the sound of which takes a grasp onto his heart strings and pulls him towards you like a child pulling on the string of a kite.
As he makes his way across the dance floor, his heart pounds at a faster rate as if it’s trying to escape the confinements of his rib cage and claw its way to find you. Your back is still turned to him when he’s a few feet away from you and his eyes can’t help but linger on the expanse of your tanned skin that was exposed by the low-plunging V-cut of the back of your dress. He sees the dimples of your back and recalls how smooth your skin felt under his hands during your intimate escapade which involved you on all fours, naked. His little trip down memory lane to last weekend at the cottage is augmented when his eyes trails upwards along your back, stopping at the junction between your neck and shoulder. Jungkook distinctly recalls the areas on your body which he has marked and he sees a hint of purple on your shoulder, evidence that he purposely made sure would last for days.
“Jungkook! What have you done? I’m supposed to have a dress fitting later today!”
Despite your worried, enraged tone of voice (and expressing your anger by throwing all the pillows you could get your hands on at him) Jungkook doesn’t attempt to hide his amusement and lack of remorse as he watches you desperately try to cover the dark splotches of hickeys on your chest and shoulders with copious amounts of concealer. He sees the ones on your shoulder blades and he contemplates on whether to tell you or not. He chooses not to when he sees you shooting death glares at him through the mirror.
He chuckles inwardly, seeing as you had dropped the makeup brushes in defeat as no amount of makeup you apply could possibly conceal the evidence of his love-making. This time Jungkook tries to look apologetic (he wasn’t) but when he sees you pout he loses his composure and he can’t help but let a small smile crack through because you were so damn adorable. He bends forward and wraps his arms around you, the two of you looking at each other through the vanity’s mirror you sat in front of.
“You could always reschedule it,” Jungkook tries to offer some sort of comfort and for a brief moment he does feel somewhat guilty for he knows how much stress you had been under for past few months. He didn’t mean to add to the heaping levels of stress you had piled on your shoulders but seeing you lay completely bare and ready for him was enough to cause him to lose every last ounce of self-control he had left. It didn’t help either that the two of you hadn’t seen each other for weeks for you were always meeting with the wedding planner, visiting the wedding venue to ensure everything was right down to the last detail such as the flowers, or you were being pulled to go on furniture shopping dates with your mother and soon-to-be mother in-law. It was a miracle really, that you had managed to escape the confinement of your house a few hours earlier, leaving only a letter on your nightstand and disguising your running away as “wedding nerves” and that you “needed some time to yourself”.
“The wedding is in a week, Jungkook. I gained a few pounds and Lisa is going to freak when she finds out I can’t fit into my dress.” Your brows furrow and lips forming into a pout, the sight so irresistibly cute Jungkook swears it’s a perfect remedy for any gloomy day. “Why did you have to mark me so much? I look like I’ve been infected with a zombie virus!”
“Babe, you barely gained anything and I would know more than anyone. Plus, you weren’t complaining last night when I –” Jungkook immediately shuts up and takes a couple of steps away from you as he meets your gaze in the mirror in front of him. Before you could say anything, he was already running to the other side of the small cottage because although you were half his size, you were a feisty little one and he would rather not face the consequences of your wrath.
The sudden change of music disrupts his thoughts and Jungkook is now standing right behind you. The subtle sweetness of your strawberry-rose perfume infiltrates his nose and it calms the rumbling of his heart, to a certain extent. You laugh loudly along with the man in front of you and Jungkook is finally able to recall his name – Jin. He remembers you telling him that Jin was a senior in your program during your college years and that he was full of old dad jokes, most of which you find ridiculous and face-palm worthy.
Feeling a warm presence behind your back, you turn around to find Jungkook standing there in his black tuxedo. You’re taken aback by his close proximity but upon meeting his gaze you instantly smile.
“I’m sorry to interrupt, can I steal Y/N for a moment?” Jungkook asks, his question directed at Jin but he merely spares a glance at your friend before he’s looking at you.
“Of course.” Jin releases your hand before returning to his table with your other college friends.
“Y/N, dance with me?” Jungkook looks at you adoringly, the sparkle in his dark orbs drawing you in and holds you hostage.
“You know you don’t have to ask at this point Jungkook,” you say and Jungkook smiles before he’s taking your hands in his and pulls you to the middle of the dance floor.
“Wow, you… you look amazing. Actually, no, you look more than amazing. You look so beautiful.”
“And so do you, Jeon Jungkook,” you giggle at his expression upon hearing the word beautiful and he gives your waist a squeeze in retaliation. You brows furrow, nose scrunches, and it’s his turn to chuckle because he finds the reaction too adorable. Upon hearing his laugh you cant help but reciprocate it.
The loudness of surrounding conversations are muffled and the other couples on the dance floor seemed to be nothing more than just flecks of dust dancing around you. The only thing that broke past the bubble that enveloped the two of you were the soothing melodies of the over-played, cliché wedding songs that seemed to have made it onto every bride’s song list. You don’t know if you and Jungkook were even dancing properly to the tempo of the song but it didn’t matter because nothing did when you were with Jungkook.
His large warm hands were securely placed on the small of your back, the skin to skin contact making you shiver initially. Even after two years of being with Jungkook, your body still hasn’t seemed to grown accustom to his touches for goosebumps would always develop in its wake. His calloused fingers produced an all-too-familiar feeling on your skin, and you’re blushing upon the thought of your most recent sexual encounter with Jungkook. Recent, as in just last weekend but it felt more like a decade. Ever since then, you were trapped inside your house like Rapunzel, forbidden to see anyone before your wedding due to superstitions of bad luck it would impose on the bride and groom and their marriage. After your return from “running away” and receiving a hell of a lecture from Lisa, your maid of honour, you were stuck rooming with her until the day of the wedding. No freedom, no outside air and no cellular devices either – you were essentially deprived of any contact with the outside world and most importantly, Jungkook.
The moment you saw him standing across the room earlier, you knew that there was no other man who could compete against Jungkook. It was rare for Jeon Jungkook to be dressed up for he would always complain about how uncomfortable tuxedos were and what a hassle it was to get them tailored. He was never one to dress in formal clothing, his usual attire consisted of a pair of ripped jeans and a baggy t-shirt. His hair was always stuffed in a beanie or on the nights where attempted to style it for a date with you, he would use a little bit of gel but would fail miserably. Despite his lack of interest in keeping up with the current fashion trends, Jungkook was the epitome of perfection. It was unfair really, for anyone to be as breathtaking as he was because not even Greek gods would be able to rival his beauty.
His black suit was tailored perfectly to his well-proportioned sculpted body, accentuating his broad shoulders and long limbs. His brown hair was styled with the utmost precision and you had to fight the urge to run your hands through it – a habit of yours which he doesn’t mind one bit.
Jeon Jungkook is a damn fine specimen.
Being so up close with him now gives you the chance to admire his impeccable features, not that you hadn’t already memorized every perfect imperfection of his. His doe eyes were as wide as ever as they scanned you from head to toe, drinking up the sight of you. There was something about his eyes, the way they glimmered and contained a sort of sparkle that you have never seen before in anybody else. Besides the flicker of light that seemed to always reside within his eyes, there was something else about them that drew you in and held you captive, making you lose yourself within them every time like the doorway to a labyrinth that you wouldn’t mind spending the rest of your life roaming around in. Maybe it was the way his eyes would crinkle at the edges whenever he laughed too hard, forming eye smiles that were to die for. Or maybe it was the way he looked at you adoringly and with the greatest endearment, like you meant everything in the world to him. And you did. You knew you did because you would look at him the same way. Or maybe it was both of those but you think you’ve found the real answer right at this exact moment – seeing your reflection in his eyes. You saw yourself projected in his eyes and you were happy. A blissful feeling washes over you as you realize how lucky you are to have met Jungkook and that he was here, standing in flesh right in front of you, on your wedding day.
Then your eyes land on his lips, the ones which smashed against yours in the heated moment you both shared that one night two years ago. You had to thank the alcohol in your system that night for giving you the courage to enact the sinful desires both of you had had for weeks after your initial encounter at the coffee shop. What was supposed to be a one night event spiraled into two years of repeated mistakes you both willingly wanted to commit.
“Y/N? What are you doing here?” Jungkook is surprised, to say the least, seeing as you’re standing in front of him in his apartment. You don’t answer him, at least not verbally. Kicking off your shoes and disregarding them by the front entrance, you approach the confused man with whom you shared an intoxicated night with, a night filled with the most passion and lust you’ve ever experienced. Grabbing his face rather roughly, you pulled him down and you met his lips with your own halfway by standing on your toes. You sighed in relief when you felt his lips against yours, the taste of which hadn’t changed since that night. Jungkook is once again taken aback by your actions, his arms are stick-straight at his sides while his eyes scan your face trying to make sense of the situation. The movement of your lips against his still ones knocks him back to reality and he doesn’t think any further as his lips reciprocates. You’re the one to break the kiss first, your toes becoming fatigued for trying to make up for the height difference. When you settle on your heels, you catch Jungkook looking at you, his face still adorned with confusion.
“Are you drunk?” Jungkook asks and you shake your head.
“You?” Jungkook shakes his head. No words were further exchanged because in the next split second, Jungkook was cupping your face with his large hands, smashing his lips against your swollen ones. What Jungkook had planned to be a relaxing evening after a long day at the workshop escalated into a sweaty workout session which involved you beneath him. Articles of clothing were stripped and laid forgotten on the hardwood floor of his apartment, teeth clashed against one another amidst sloppy kisses, skin left dented with teeth marks and traces of saliva in the wake of each of your lips against the other’s neck.
Without the influence of alcohol, the feeling of each other’s touches are heightened and your minds are clear. Or were they? Did being drunk on the taste of Jungkook’s lips count as being alcohol-free? You didn’t know, nor did you want to know because all you wanted was more of it. The roughness of his calloused hands massaging your breasts contrasted the smoothness of his lips as they made their way down past your navel and hovered teasingly above your sensitive bud. You urge him on with your thighs and he complies.
Jungkook feels your hand in his hair, gripping its roots when he sucks on your clit or when his tongue slips past through your folds and shallowly penetrates within you. His hands rests on your lower abdomen, keeping your hips glued to the mattress as he continues his onslaught with his tongue. He doesn’t stop and he doesn’t plan to and by the sound of your whimpers, it doesn’t seem like you want him to either. His mouth alternates between sucking and circling your clit while he eases his a finger into you. The wetness of your core aids him with the process and allows him to add another digit. His mouth never abandons your clit as he scissors his fingers within you, stretching you out. Jungkook curls his two fingers as he increases he pace at which he thrusts them into you all the while applying pressure on your bud with his tongue. The room is filled with the sound of Jungkook’s name rolling off your tongue in an angelic moan and the sounds of your evidently wet core. It doesn’t take long before you feel the pressure building within you and you’re a squirming mess. Jungkook is relentless, his pace never falters. Rather, he’s fueled by the alluring sight of you above him with your hair splayed out on his pillows, your eyes closed and face contorted with absolute pure pleasure. Your breathing becomes laboured and your body writhes and Jungkook knows you’re at the brink of falling. With one last thrust of his fingers and long suck at your clit, your back arches off the bed and the room is filled with the heavenliest sound emitted from your vocal cords. Jungkook watches as you fall apart above him, his tongue laps up every last drop of your sweet essence until the oversensitivity kicks in and he’s being pulled back up to your lips.
The two of you barely remember last week’s event due to the alcohol that flowed through your system but at the same time you remembered it all too clearly. Jungkook remembers the spot behind your ear that has you mewling against his ear and you remember how damn amazing it feels to have him stretch your walls. After sheathing himself with a condom, he takes things slowly, wanting you to feel every inch of him as he pushes into you. He watches as your face contorts upon the initial penetrance and he ceases all movement once he bottoms out. Jungkook lowers himself until his chest meets yours and he places wet kisses all over your neck before he ends his tour of your body at your lips. Your tongue dances with his, neither fighting for dominance for this wasn’t just a quick relief. You both wanted to savour the moment for as long as possible because neither of you knew whether there would be another time. Unbeknownst to the both of you, there would be many more times.
You suck on his tongue and then he sucks on your bottom lip, earning him a sound alike a symphony and he mentally curses for he has never heard a sound more delightful. He’s lost within the kiss until you suddenly clench around him causing him to groan loudly. It was the first time Jungkook had forgotten that he was inside of someone and not just merely making out with them. He was always seeking for his own sweet release but with you, everything seems to slow down and he likes it. Well, he did until you decided to remind him that you both had other body parts to attend to. You clench again and he pinches your waist, his brows furrowed and his lips captured by his teeth.
“F-fuck, don’t do that.” You giggle as you watch him try to compose himself but the sound of you laughing only makes it more difficult for him. Jungkook takes on the challenge and it seems as though he wins as you’re no longer in a giggling fit when he suddenly pulls out. But, not long before he’s ramming himself back into you. You gasp at the sudden move and you swear you see Jungkook smirking above you. He continues the rapid thrusts, each of which causes the headboard of the bed frame to slam against the wall. You only hope that the apartment next to his is vacant or that he has soundproof walls.
You bite your bottom lip, trying to prevent yourself from screaming when Jungkook hits a certain spot repeatedly. Your teeth offer no security so you resort to cupping your mouth with your hands but they’re soon being pried off by Jungkook.
“Let me hear you.”
And with that, Jungkook hits that same spot with the utmost accuracy which has you whimpering shamelessly helplessly beneath him. He feels you clenching once again around him and by the sound of you mewling, Jungkook knows you’re close. He links his hand with yours and places it above your head as his thrusts become faster and more coordinated as he aims to hit the target spot. Although the act was a little intimate, the both of you didn’t mind that his hand was squeezing yours, as if he was encouraging you to release. And so you do. You let yourself unravel, legs shaking, toes curling, bright lights covering your field of vision. Your body shakes as the intense orgasm travels throughout your body, igniting each and every fibre within you afire.
Jungkook fucks you through your orgasm, not wanting to let the oversensitivity overtake you before he finishes. You help him with your fingers tracing the outline of his toned abs and your lips sucking onto the flesh between his shoulder and his neck. Jungkook never thought of himself as one to ever be vocal in bed, but with you, he can’t help but groan with pleasure as he feels the warmth of you around him. The contents from your climax provided further lubrication, making his thrusts easier and faster. The sound of skin slapping against skin, your breasts bouncing with each thrusts of his, and the mere sight of your flushed cheeks aids him in reaching euphoria. It doesn’t take him long before his thrusts become less coordinated and his grunts become louder, both indicative of him nearing the finish line. You whisper into his ear and that was the final push he needed to claim his prize.
After discarding the tied condom into a nearby trash bin and returning with a warm wet towel to help wipe the contents of you and him off of your legs, Jungkook and you lie on his bed exchanging nothing but silent looks. Your thoughts are racing sporadically in your mind and Jungkook’s is struggling to find coherent sentences but he fails.
The sex was undeniably amazing. Jungkook knew exactly where and how to touch you and you were the damn best kisser Jungkook has ever met. Your body genuinely responds to his touches and it wasn’t masked by fake high-pitched moans or even worse, fake orgasms just to boost his ego. His body molded with yours perfectly and the both of you would be lying if you both said it just the physical attraction. Because it wasn’t and you both knew it, you both felt the raw chemistry that was never felt with anyone else.
“Let’s talk about this tomorrow,” Jungkook finally says, breaking the silence that engulfed the two of you for the past ten minutes after the glorious sex you both just had. You nod, and then you’re pulled against his chest, tucked underneath his chin, and you’re listening to the steady beating of his heart.
That talk never came. It didn’t come the next morning when the two of you woke up with bed-head hair and you were greeted with his hard member between the two of you (which lead to an early morning ride). It didn’t come the two days after that when he showed up at your apartment with spicy rice cakes and beer either. It definitely didn’t make its way into your conversation when you showed up at his workshop where he makes pottery. He didn’t say anything when he watched you strip down to nothing and you simply sat on top of him and did most of the work as his hands were still covered in clay. Nor did it come up a year later when the two of you were cuddling on his couch, pigging out with two tubs of green tea ice cream and laughing at the slapstick comedy on the screen as you both marathon-ed through hundreds of variety shows.
The topic of what any of it meant never came up and you both liked it that way. It was easier and better because the label scared you both.
Now that he was standing no more than two inches away from you with his hands around your waist and yours around his neck, you knew that you were irrevocably in love with Jeon Jungkook.
Being in his arms feels like home, a home which you always find yourself going back to. His arms were like the frame of the house, strong and sturdy as they encased you and made you feel safe and protected. It was the one place that allowed you to slowly open up the darkest contents of yourself that no one has ever had access to before.
His chest was warm like a fireplace, its heat never scorching hot to the point of scarring you but it was just the perfect temperature to melt the stone-cold barrier that you built up around heart. It was the kind of warmth that you find yourself wanting to come home to and snuggle up against with a mug of hot chocolate and just talk about the most random things.
Jungkook’s hands were like the pages of a diary you never had. On nights where you snuggled up against his chest, you would play with his long fingers and you would scold him for forgetting to apply hand cream again when you find a new calloused area. As you trace along the lines of his palms, you would pour your fragmented self in front of him. You didn’t have the courage to tell those parts of yourself to his face so your focus was always on his rough hands. You knew that he was like a diary that listened to you, with no judgement or scrutiny whatsoever. It was reassuring to feel his heartbeat against your back with your hands in his. Jungkook never made you feel any less of a person like society has. Your fragmented self wasn’t viewed as a broken artifact in his eyes, no, you were a beautiful masterpiece that just needed love and care. He mended your cracks with the utmost care like he was handling his fragile pottery.
“I wish this song could last forever,” you whisper and Jungkook nods, the look in his eyes mirroring yours. No words were exchanged as you both dance to the next verse of the song, completely immersed in the moment that you know you won’t get to experience again.
“Hey, hey don’t cry,” he quickly wiped the single tear that slid down your face with his thumb, but to no avail as another soon followed. “You’re going to ruin your makeup. You don’t want to look like a mess on your wedding day.”
“I don’t care about how I look. It’s all your fault I’m crying, why did you have to come? I thought we both agreed you wouldn’t.”
“I wouldn’t miss your wedding for the world Y/N. I’m glad I came because I get to see you like this, so perfect and beautiful.”
“J-Jungkook, I’m so sorry,” your words getting caught in your throat as you try to fight the urge to lunge at him and cry like there’s no tomorrow. You didn’t need to explain what you were sorry for because you both knew. You both knew it was for everything. From the very start two years ago when you showed up at his apartment to this very moment – you were sorry for it all. Two years’ worth of ‘Sorry’ all summed up into one and you know it wouldn’t suffice for all the pain you had and would cause.
“Y/N, don’t say that. I came here because I wanted to see you,” Jungkook lightly squeezes your waist, making you look up at him. He gives you an encouraging smile but his eyes don’t seem to say the same thing. After all, being with him for two years makes you a pretty damn good Jungkook reader. You could see it in his eyes too, that he was suffering just as much as you were at this moment, that he wanted to just as badly wrap his arms with confidence around you. “Smile one last time for me, Y/N. I didn’t drive through that horrendous traffic to see the most stunning bride ever cry.”
His heart does somersaults when he sees you laugh, despite the tears welling up in your eyes. You both don’t say anything as Jungkook takes the lead in the dance by swaying you to the music. You recognize the song as the one Lisa had found when she searched ‘wedding songs that will make you cry’ but you can’t pinpoint the artist. Having listened to the wedding playlist so many times (thanks to Lisa), you know the song is approaching the end as the bridge plays right before the last verse. You decide to not let reality disrupt your time with Jungkook as you smile throughout the rest of the bridge section and enjoy the presence of the man that has taught you love.
“I’m sorry I ruined your day. I didn’t want to see you cry, I just wanted to see you in your wedding dress,” Jungkook says as he continues to wipe away your tears.
“No, don’t say that. You made my day Jungkook, you know that,” your voice cracks and it’s barely audible but Jungkook hears you, he always does. “I love you, Jeon Jungkook. I love you so so much. Please remember that.”
He grins widely, flaunting that adorable bunny smile you can never get enough of. Suddenly, his hold on your waist tightens and you see his brows furrow slightly as his eyes look past behind you and says, “I have to let you go now.”
Confusion overtakes you when Jungkook loosens his hold on you before the song even ended but the answer finds its way in the form of a voice you’re familiar with, one which you’re supposed to be elated at the sound of, but you’re not.
“Jungkook! You made it! I thought you said you couldn’t come?”
“I wouldn’t miss this for the world.” Jungkook extends his hand and shakes the hand of the person now standing next to you, their arm now around your waist. “Congratulations Jimin, you’re a lucky man to have found someone like Y/N.”
“Yeah, I know,” Jimin beams, his smile spreading from ear to ear and eyes forming crescents that once drew you in. “She’s amazing.”
You find yourself struggling to match the enthusiasm that’s evidently expressed by Jimin. You hope he doesn’t notice.
“Will you be staying for the rest of the evening?” Jimin asks, diverting his attention from you to Jungkook who you could tell was uncomfortable with the entire atmosphere as he shifted on his feet.
“No, I actually have to leave soon if I don’t want to miss my flight. I just wanted to stop by and see Y/N and you before I fly off,” Jungkook replies, his response directed at Jimin but his longing gaze never once left yours. Jimin doesn’t notice. He never does.
“Well it was nice to see you and thank you for coming once again. Y/N and I really appreciate it, don’t we love?” The soft hands that squeezed your shoulder broke the eye contact between you and Jungkook, pulling you back into reality. A reality which you and Jungkook desperately want to run away from.
“Take care of Y/N Jimin, or else I’ll fly back and beat the crap out of you,” Jungkook jokes and Jimin laughs, his boisterous laughter reverberating around the hall.
“Don’t worry, I’ll make her the happiest bride on this planet.” Jimin’s answer exudes with confidence but it leaves you questioning how you can be happiest bride when the man you’re wedded to is not the man that you love. How are you supposed to feel the butterflies when the hands around you right now are too soft for your liking and that you prefer the roughness of the ones that handles you like you’re fine china?
A voice in the distance calls for you and Jimin and you recognize it as Lisa. She’s waving the two of you over to the front of the room where the cake is and motioning in the air with her hands what seems to be like the action of cutting the cake.
“Looks like we’re wanted by Lisa,” Jimin says. “Are you sure you can’t at least stay for the cake? We visited over five different wedding cake stores but Y/N here ended up settling on –”
“Green tea.” Jungkook finishes the sentence for Jimin and he’s smiling at you. And for a brief moment the two of you are transported back to his apartment during those late evenings where you both would snuggle up with tubs of green tea ice cream. The memories come flooding into your mind and you think that if it’s not the absence of Jungkook then it’s definitely those memories which are going to haunt you in the future.
Lisa is calling for you and Jimin again but this time she’s grabbing the microphone from the MC of the evening, capturing the attention of every guest. You could only laugh because if there’s anyone who’s more joyous about the wedding than Jimin and the moms, it would be Lisa.
“Looks like you guys really have to go unless you want her dragging you both there herself,” Jungkook suggests and Jimin nods.
“Have a safe flight man,” Jimin pulls Jungkook into a hug, each giving the other a pat on the back.
“Thanks,” Jungkook responds. They break their hug and Jungkook turns to face you, his arms open and he gives you his widest grin he possibly can. His arms are waiting like they always were waiting for you to come home from a long day at the office. Once you walk through his apartment doors he always envelops you, surrounding you with a great warmth and softness despite his rigid build. He always asks how your day went but never probes, never seeks more than what you’re ready to offer.
Like the opposite poles on a magnet, you’re drawn to his embrace. The moment his arms are wrapped tightly around you, you sigh with a great relief. You were home. This is where you belong and this is where you want to be, forever – in sickness or in health, you just wanted to be with Jungkook.
Jungkook nuzzles his face into your neck, inhaling the scent of you which has become the antidote for his loneliness. He tries to prolong the hug for as long as he can because he knows it’s the last time he’ll ever come close to true happiness. Jungkook knows it’s risky with Jimin in such a close proximity but he takes the last chance he has to reiterate those feelings which had metamorphosed into the butterflies that resided inside him since the moment you walked into that coffee shop. He made sure you knew last week at the cottage when you ran away from everyone to be with him. Within those few short hours he had conveyed his deepest thoughts and feelings he had for you, both physically and verbally.
But once wasn’t enough. No amount of time could ever be enough when it came to you, not even the promise of a lifetime. Jungkook was lucky to have met you and to have fallen in love with you but luck wasn’t on his side when it came to time. He met you far too late and two years wasn’t nearly enough for him to show you his love. And now that he has only seconds left, he wants to make use of it. Because if Jungkook doesn’t get to spend his life with you and doesn’t get to show you the love you deserve every second of your life, he wants you to know it this very moment.
“I love you, Y/N.” Jungkook whispers it, only a few decibels higher than what a human ear can decipher, but you hear it. You don’t say anything, you only tighten your hold around his neck because like that night when you showed up at his apartment, your action did all the talking.
It seems like every cell within you is screaming when you detach from Jungkook, every muscle fibre trying to reach out for him again but your brain instructs you to leave the comfort of your home.
You exchange one last look with Jungkook before you’re being pulled by Jimin to his side. It’s like everything in the universe is trying to tell you that you’re making the wrong decision, that you’re going down the dark and gloomy road when it’s clear that the path lined with cherry blossom trees would lead you to your happiness. Or maybe you are wrong, maybe you had been walking down the path covered with pink flowers with Jimin all along and that Jungkook was at the end of the dreary road that you were lured into.
Jimin says something but you don’t hear it, you let him lead you to the wedding cake situated at the front of the room where Lisa was standing, looking rather impatient as things were being pushed thirty minutes behind. You take one last glance over your shoulder and you see Jungkook, his once bright doe eyes now looked sorrowful and were filled with tears, before he turns and walks away.
And that was it. That was the last time that you would ever see Jeon Jungkook. In a few hours, you would be known as Mrs. Park while Jungkook would be in Paris. Not only were you going to be separated by a piece of legal document that was the marriage license, you were also far geographically. But you think this is for the best. You both know it wouldn’t be a walk in the park but it’ll get easier, it’s bound to. He’s in the City of Love and you were wedded to one of the most sought after bachelors of Seoul, you both were bound to fall out of love with each other.
Lisa announces with the microphone that the wedding cake is about to be cut and the guests all gather around the front with their glasses filled with champagne, ready to make a toast. Lisa hands the microphone over to Jimin and he says a toast, but you don’t hear any of it. Your eyes are scanning the crowd in hopes of finding Jungkook but you don’t. You secretly wish that Jungkook would turn back and interrupt the ceremony and declaring his love to you publicly like in those dramas the both of you watched together. But you knew he wouldn’t, no Jeon Jungkook would never do that. He was never selfish rather he was always considerate, even if that meant sacrificing the one person who means the most to him. Even if that meant losing you to his best friend forever.
Jimin finishes the toast and his hands holds yours as the both of you get ready to cut the cake. You stare at the hands that are clasped around yours and you note the smoothness of his skin. Jimin’s hands were used to signing contracts and typing on his laptop whereas Jungkook’s were used to being immersed in water and clay. The vast difference between the two was something that you needed to get used to and you only hope that Jungkook remembers to apply hand cream at night.
Unbeknownst to you however, Jungkook hadn’t left. He stood far off to the side behind a pillar, wanting to get one last glimpse of you before he leaves.
It pains Jungkook, more than anything else, when he sees you smile at Jimin but your eyes aren’t filled with love. They were dull and empty which was the complete opposite of how a bride should look at the groom. Jungkook thinks it’s rather funny that the both of you were consciously inflicting pain on each other by going through with this wedding. Both of you knew that the only way to ease the pain was to be with each other. But it was like the sort of medication that was good and bad for you, the ones that would cure the illness but would cause severe side effects.
Jungkook came knowing that he would witness the love of his life walk down the aisle with another man. He wanted closure but was it really closure that he was seeking? If he were to be completely honest with himself, was he ready to let go of everything you both shared, of you? He had come prepared to move on but after seeing you in your dress, he wanted nothing more than to grab your hand and run away with you. Seeing as his best friend who was evidently overjoyed as he cuts the wedding cake with you, Jungkook can only wish that when you come home from a long day at the law firm that Jimin will be there to massage the knots in your shoulders, cherish every inch of your body and soul, and that he’ll listen and love you unconditionally no matter how broken you may seem.

Home Interior Design: 10 Essential Home Remodel Tips & Tricks
Have you been thinking of remodeling or decorating your home? As exciting as this sounds, starting a home renovation or design can be a lot of work and even overwhelming. We are one of the best interior designer in Bhubaneswar and also modular kitchen designer in Bhubaneswar. We’ve put together our favorite home interior design tricks to help you get though your project! Check out our insider tips & tricks and read on for the 10 essential home remodel tips !
1. Home interior design 101: have a plan
This is no. one for a reason: you need to do it first. When handling your remodel alone you may be tempted to skip this step but it’s absolutely crucial to spend some time on planning. This includes creative tasks like choosing a style and choose your color palette. Plus, it means taking perfect measurements of your space and organizing all that needs to be done on the calendar, to get a realistic timeline. Yes we know, it sounds like a lot of work to be just at step one! But we promise this will save you time and it will avoid costly mistakes down the road. Keep in mind that you don’t necessarily need to do everything at once. In some cases, it’s perfectly fine to decorate just one area of the home to start with and then continue at a later stage. After all, a home remodel needs to be a pleasure, not an overwhelming chore!

2. Reflect your personality in your home interior design
Going back to the choice of your style, you’ll probably look for interior design ideas online and search for the main home interior design styles to get you started. And while looking at examples of classic, farmhouse, and boho interiors, you might think you’re not ready to choose just one. Well, be reassured, that’s perfectly normal! In fact, styles are there to give you general guidance, but at the end of the day, your home should reflect who you are and make you happy. So feel free to mix and match elements from different styles! It might take a while until you find the perfect fit for you, but keep editing and don’t be afraid to try new things!
3. Be careful with trends
Let’s talk about styles, colors and texture a little more. Between Pinterest, Instagram and interior design magazines, you’ll see new trends coming in regularly and you’ll probably fall in love with at least one at every season (again no worries, that’s normal!) The fact is that trends look so attractive also because they are hot in that moment, but they will not necessarily last in time. So when you’re making choices for your remodel, always ask yourself if you really like that trend. The worst thing is investing in expensive trendy pieces and then getting bored of them after a few months!
Here is the safest way to approach trends, tested by professional designers: stay on the safe side with the most durable and the most expensive items of your shopping list. So for flooring and big furniture items choose timeless pieces that you really love and that you’re going to love for a long time. Once that’s done, have fun with trendy accessories and easy-to-swap items! This way, you’ll be free to update your home without breaking the bank when you fall in love with a new trend and your home interior design will always be actual!
4. In interior design, every space is worth it
Living room, bedrooms, dining area, and kitchen; these are the rooms people normally think of when planning a remodel. But every part of your home is worth some home design attention! For example, the entryway is the very first thing people (including you) see when entering your home. A pantry is a place where you’ll go to every single day. And what about the laundry room? That’s a space guests will probably not see, but you’re going to spend quite some time in there and it would be better if the space didn’t feel drab!
You get the point; what we’re recommending you here is to give some love to all rooms in your home. That’s clear, budget is always limited and you’re going to be spending more time and money on the rooms that are most important to you. But don’t let those secondary spaces totally untouched. From sticky tiles to accessories, there are plenty of inexpensive home interior design ideas that will be just enough to give a fresh look to those rooms! And this will come with more than one benefit. First, it will give a cohesive feel to your home, which will create that beautiful designer look. Second, you’ll get to enjoy a beautifully decorated space no matter what you’re doing, and who doesn’t like that?!
5. Proportions are key
One of the most common mistakes people make when choosing furniture and accessories is getting the proportions wrong. Which may seem unimportant but it actually makes all the difference when looking at a finished room! Do you know that “it doesn’t feel quite right” feeling? Probably some proportions are wrong! For example, people tend to choose small pieces for small spaces. But in fact, filling a small room with plenty of small pieces will only make it feel more cluttered! Instead, choosing a few larger pieces will ground the space, make it feel more spacious and comfortable. On the other hand, going with furniture pieces that are too big can make it hard to walk around and this is always annoying.
Even though it’s so important, it is not always easy to figure out how much is big enough; so here is a pro tip for you! Every time you’re not sure of the proportion of an item, use paper tape to trace its contour where it should go. This will give you a much better idea of how much space it will actually take and you’ll be able to see if you’ll have enough space to walk around comfortably. This is also a tested trick to plan a successful gallery wall!
6. Mix old and new
This is another important point people tend to forget: going for a home remodel does not mean buying everything new! In fact, mixing new pieces with things you already have is going to give your home your special touch (besides saving you some precious money). This is also the perfect occasion to incorporate that vintage dresser you inherited from your grandparents which means so much to you! Going back to the choice of your style, your home will need to reflect who you are and sentimental pieces are key in making your home feel yours. But that’s not only about vintage pieces. Mixing old with new also means just keeping things you already have! While you are at it, always remember that things can be used for different functions and your creativity is the only limit in choosing what you can use your existing side table for!
7. Paint!
If you ask a designer what is the first thing they would advise to do to give a fresh look to a space, many of them will answer paint, and that’s for good reasons! First, paint is a relatively easy job. After some practice, it will become the ideal weekend project and it does make a tremendous difference, really. And paint is not only to add a touch of color! With paint you can make a space look larger, you can highlight an architectural feature (say a molding), you can create a focal point and re-proportion the space. Not only that, colors can change the mood of an interior and create ambiance. For instance, blue has a relaxing effect while orange and red are stimulating hues.
When talking paint, people tend to think about walls, but there’s more! Ceilings are one of the most underestimated surfaces of a room and a coat of paint will immediately give character to the design and create a great conversation starter! Furniture and accessories can also change dramatically when painted. This is a great tip to keep in mind when looking at items you already have; if you like their shape but not the color, paint can be all it’s needed to make them fit your new home interior design! Last but not least, paint does not necessarily mean a solid color. Patterns, gradients, and textures add a whole new level of interest to any painted surface! If you look online, you’ll find plenty of paint-related home design ideas and tutorials to achieve unique results! Also, don’t forget to consider wallpapers and wall stickers. Used alone or in combination with paint, they’re a sure way to step up the look of any space!
8. DIY it
DIY is not only a home remodel tip to save you some money; it is also a fun creative hobby and it allows you to get exactly what you want! Once again, Pinterest is full of mind-blowing ideas. And don’t be discouraged if you are not a top DIY person! There are many projects that are not so hard to make but still have a stunning final effect!
Also, DIYs can become a family matter and friends can be involved too! Children can participate in simpler projects while adults tackle the most complex ones. In the end, working together on a DIY is a sure way to give an item a unique personal value and – once it has found its place at home – just looking at it will bring back all the funny memories of the making process! Overall, making some of your home pieces yourself will make your home feel really yours. Plus, it will be the perfect conversation starter! A simple DIY can also be what’s needed to update some of your existing pieces and make them perfect for your freshly remodeled home. So once again, take some inspiration online and then let your creativity flow!
9. Utilize all of your space
How many corners in your home are unused? And how much storage and function would you get if they were utilized properly? We bet you’ve answered “a lot” to both questions! In fact, when furnishing a home with ready-made pieces, it’s normal that they don’t always fill the space exactly. Some examples would be those few-inches between the kitchen cabinets and the wall or above them. Or the space between the wardrobe and the wall. Or the empty space above your living room bookshelf. All these awkward tiny spaces here and there may seem irrelevant, but they could add so much value to your home!
If you’re getting custom furniture designed for your space, this is the perfect time to plan your space carefully and make sure all the dead corners are given a purpose. Otherwise, it’s time to DIY! For example, the thin space between the kitchen cabinets and the wall can be turned into the perfect storage for cutting boards, wine or spices, making the space way more functional!
10. Don’t underestimate accessories
We’ve already said that accessories are the best pieces to play around with trends without breaking the bank. But accessories are a lot more than that; they are literally the cherry on the cake for any interior, the finishing touch that makes a home design feel complete and designer-like. Artworks, pillows, vases etc. can help to tie the color scheme and make it cohesive throughout the home. Also, accessories alone can set the vibe of a room, making it cozy, elegant or funny. Last but not least, accessories are the perfect way to add texture. And a mix of carefully juxtaposed textures can give a space that effortless look we all love! In your home remodel process, accessories will clearly go in last, but if you start thinking about them in advance, you’ll be sure they fully fit with the style and colors of your new home.
