#my posts#gameblogging#liveblogging castlevania#its the okayest game i have ever played#the souls system is farily interesting#the visuals and the music aren't terrible#in fact there is even one song that i happen to like#i feel nothing towards the characters or the story#and it has gotten fairly frustrating a few times#bc i just went to a place that i was extremely underleveled for due to not wanting to fight a boss#but now im watching gameplay of sotn and goddamn.........#it'd be my favourite game if it was like 40 hours longer#it's the freaking voice acting the visuals that they really didn't skimp on#the sound effects and the fucking orchestral fucking music#AND THE FUCKING MOVEMENT GOD#THE SPAMMABLE BACKDASH#AND THE WALKING ANIMATION THAT IS SO INTRICATE AND DETAILED#AND ALUCARDS VOICE AND HIS SOUNDS OF EXERTION#AND THE FUCKING WEAPONS AND ITEMS AND HIS JUMP ARC#AND BEING ABLE TO SLASH DOWNWARDS DIAGONALLY?????????????#so much of that just felt revolutionary in sotn#and............ it does not exist in this game#lowkey feels like going backwards#half of it is prob just bc of the gba's limitations#BUT STILL#ugh i cant wait to play the ds trilogy#ill def like it much more
