nova goes by the last name vasilias, as an homage to her husband, adrian, from her second host.   he was a null, and though the pair were never officially married, they did end up having a ceremony between themselves in the forest.   as far as everyone else was concerned, their relationship had never progressed past some type of crush  /  lowkey courtship, and nova took his last name out of some old time tradition, to rebel against her father and family.   vasilias itself means king, queen or royalty.
