well on one hand i like the idea of the big fuck you of like something magnus was shamed for being something alec is specifically so into and wants to do with him on the other hand i feel like alec would still be more upset than turned on at a report insulting/attacking magnus, especially bc if he was being "indecent" it's more likely that this was someone either violating his privacy (a raid on pandemonium or something???), being queerphobic in one way or another ("being indecent in public" often means "being visibly queer in public"), or like. magnus said a flirtatious one-liner or innuendo to piss them off. in which case we're kind of just back to "shadowhunters being total dicks to magnus and while alec admires how he handles them easily he's more sad/upset/angry on his behalf that he had to handle them at all" i think
