Ykno what's somehow more annoying than a kpop stan? A kpop SNOB.

One of the employees (who's actually leaving soon, thank god) has been a kpop fan since like 2nd gen. And she makes it KNOWN. Somehow has "stanned" like every popular group in existence. Mentioned that she stanned stray kids until the song Double Knot came out & pissed her off so much she swore off the group entirely (I guess????). Used to like bts, but mentioned that she stopped liking them bc of the fandom (which is valid I guess, but literally just don't interact with the fandom then, that's what I do with stray kids).

She pissed the bts coworker OFF tho bc bts coworker made a list of group recs for 3rd gen (not 4th gen bc she did Not want to risk the bloodbath if any of the groups weren't represented properly). In the bts section (a modest section!!! Same length as the others!!!) she included 'Dynamite' as one of her favorite songs. And the kpop snob literally PUTS A POST IT NOTE pointing to it & saying "Dynamite doesn't belong on this list"

Like WHAT???? Is it YOUR GROUP being talked about here???? No!!!! She included a lot of songs from a lot of groups (with my input for ones like shinee & mamamoo), & then put her favs from her fav group. Like. Why do you have to be so needlessly nitpicky lmao???

#speculation nation #probably definitely a good thing shes leaving #this is the same girl that told me. as i was playing my selection of kpop. that i Desperately need to listen to more girl groups #like a: thats not for you to decide. & b: i just plain dont like most of the girl groups' music???#with the exception of mamamoo like Most of the girl groups have a style of music that's just Meh for me #i have a few that i like outside of them. bc theyre genuinely good songs.#but so many girl groups have either a cutesy concept i hate. or a shout singing style i dont care for.#'just listen to loona-' no? 'what about twice-' youre literally missing the point #im not saying theyre bad. i just dont really like them personally.#mamamoo being the exception bc im in love with their voices + they dont do the cutesy concept so many girl groups do #it's like. these are grown women. women with AMAZING voices. i could listen to them for forever.#idk it really annoyed me lol. she's been on a fast track to pissing off every kpop fan at this store.#she called ateez overrated which was an INSTA aggro from co assistant manager.#it's actually a little hilarious how personal kpop fans take insults to their favorite groups #... which im a little included in that. bc swearing off stray kids just bc you hated Double Knot enough???? lol ok #i didnt take it as personally as some of the other employees. but i sure did get really annoyed at the girl groups comment lol #shes also really fucking awful at washing dishes. unrelated to any of this. aside from being another reason im kinda glad to see her go lol
