Hi! Love your Genshin posts, they're super interesting!
In your post about Gold bringing in creatures from the abyss and purifying them you mentioned "infusing ppl of teyvat with these purified abyss essense which we know breaks the schakles of fate and allows for free will" and I'm just genuinely curious what this is in reference to? Like how do we know the abyss essence frees people from their fate, I'd like to read more on that. Ty!!
thank you! there are a lot of references to breaking free of fate in connection to abyss, like in desert's quests and descriptions about king deshret, but most coherently i think it was spelled out in Caribert, where Chlothar out right says that Traveler sibling was connected to the abyss and led khaenriah to it. in the same quest we meet Sinner, you know, the purple magical crystal in chains who was worshiped by hilichurls and infuses chlothar with purple power, after which he is able to bring Caribert back to consciousness. after Caribert takes off his mask and purple light shoots out of him, we don't know what happens, but later Chlothar says he "transcended" and could create his own fate.

After that Chlothar starts worshipping Sinner and later, as we know, founds the Abyss Order, so like. I think its pretty safe to say Sinner is connected to the abyss XD Their ultimate plan is called "loom of fate", which chlothar also mentions. Location where we meet Sinner is called "At the fate's end", btw
