Unpopular opinion: Cruel Prince is what ACOTAR tried to be
#idk if that's an unpopular opinion or not but it's definitely true#both set in faerie worlds with enemies to lovers between a seemingly wicked fae prince and a strongheaded human girl amidst political crise#but cruel prince had much more fleshed out characters with both the platonic and romantic relationships being real but flawed & intriguing#but the biggest difference is the main couples and the enemies to lovers trope which was so much better executed in cruel prince#jude & cardan were by no means a healthy relationship either but they were both matched in power and character#even though they betrayed each other their relationship wasn't completely unbalanced and they both built on it#im not saying that the series is perfect or that acotar's terrible i thought it was ok but cruel prince definitely does relationships bette#tbh the best relationships were actually between jude and her dad and the rest of her family as well as with her enemies#but yea i just finished the last book and couldnt help but see the comparisons between the two series#cruel prince#acotar
