YEAH. YEAH....!

Like. I love characters who make me dig deeper into their motivations. It's why i love liars so much. I love trying to see the façade, and then going deeper just to see what's actually under it all.

Percival isn't a liar but he's definitely not upfront about what he wants which puts me into the same type of journey in general.

#tbh i also just have this thing where i don't. i don't like disliking characters?#if i'm neutral to a character i won't do much about it #but if i actually dislike a character i generally want to figure out why #usually it starts bc 'said chara hurt someone i cared about'#and i don't like stopping on that when it comes to interpreting characters #characters are more than the characters they interreact with #so then it means having to stop the gut feeling of looking at why this chara made me angry #and then it's about trying to decipher their motivations #and more often than not it means reaching a point where their behavior becomes understandable #if not downright compelling #obviously some characters still don't pass the vibe check - especially some basic villains like Ferdinand #but yeah generally i just end up overthinking myself out of disliking a chara #bc i'm generally trying to see why this is bothering me so much #and generally once i untangle the reason it's bothering me #i end up finding something that makes me care #and it's why a lot of my fav characters are characters i started out disliking #bc usually there's something deeper about disliking them and everything #that's usually my approach to characters so yeah #ichareply #anonymous #ichafantalks gbf #ichablogging 4kishi
