Another thing I also realized from watching big o that’s not even related to the show itself is I legitimately do better to committing + enjoying a show if I actually watch it out of my own accord and not for someone else. A general struggle of mine is people pleasing tendencies so a lot of shows I’ve watched was out of obligation for someone else-regardless if they outright pushed me to watch it or if I saw it so much in circles I was in I felt like I needed to watch it-but that tends to end up leading to me not liking it and I either take forever to finish or not finish it at all.

Meanwhile this was a show my friend did rec me and I heard about a lot but I decided to watch it just because I felt like it and now instead of procrastinating or worrying I won’t finish it I’ve literally binged half of the show within last week and will probably finish it this week if everything goes accordingly. I really outta do stuff for myself more but I guess this is a good starting point.

Even if yeah- moral of the story don’t rec me things unless I actually ask lol.

#meg text #I’ve had this realization for awhile but idk if I ever put it into words #there’s actually a term for this given the fact I’m autistic called PDA autism but it’s a whole ass thing to explain #(And also hearing that people would probably assume “public display of affection?” 😭)#but yeah this is like the real reason I’ve avoided watching certain mechas (gestures to gundam)#I still prefer robots with sentience though and also I need to see if I can handle a 40 ep show bc I also need to resume TFA 💀#I know there’s shorter gundams to watch as well but idk I’m vibing with the earlier era more whenever I see it mentioned #it’s probably bc I’m so much more biased for cel but also associate mecha at it’s peak with cel #granted don’t ever expect me to watch like every mecha ever #because even if robots are my main fixation I do wanna focus on more human-like ones #only problem is finding more then 5 Animes that do this so mecha is kinda where I have to go for anime robo fill #but I’ll worry about that another time bc there’s none robot shows I wanna watch anyways #I’m just rambling in tags at this point but god it’s easier to get my thoughts out here then twitter #also less likely to be judged because I hardly see mecha stuff on my dash anyways
