Yo, that's wild.
I won't go on great lengths on it here because I know you and I greatly differ on what it means to love thy neighbour op. As I've said before my DMs are open if you want to discuss further.
But I have to say; saying you don't hate LGBT+ people, it's just that them wanting to share their love and who they are "violates the eternal law of God". Like that's crazy to me??
I think it's so obvious that God loves us for who we are, and that includes our sexualities and gender expressions, as well as our eye colour and how we are personality wise. And nothing can take that love away. Not now not ever.
I promised I wouldn't go on too long so I'll just finish up with a bible quote from today's Sunday service:
Romans 8:38-39 KJV
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
/lilies of peace!
The Catholic Church doesn’t hate gay people. While she can’t support gay marriage because that violates the eternal law of God, she encourages the LGBT community to live celibate, chaste, and holy lives for the love of God. She has a ministry for that:
#also jesus said 'the law is made for man. man is not made for the law' (paraphrasing because google and my bible app was no help rn)#we are here to help and love eachother. and by doing so honouring God and the example he put before us in Jesus#jesus truly is the best man#look to him and you'll find basically all things you'll need to know on how to be a good person#no one does it like him#but we can (and should) aspire to#by being open and loving to those we meet instead of narrowminded and exclusionist#god loves queers#christianity#sidenote: shout out to catholic church for having pronouns! love that for her
