Alright this is a long one, so it'll be under the cut.

Fair warning for all the folks who are unaware: Coup AU is a fic I'm writing entirely for myself, and it follows a very alternative universe's Evanora Harkness.

Goddess!Agatha x Eve was spun off of an idea I had for Goddess!Agatha x Reader, mostly because Agatha got all pouty about me never having written her with Eve before now.

Let me tell you, I really really love the very few hundred words I have written for them so far.

Gods walked amongst mortals.

This is simply a fact, like how the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, or how the Earth is round.

Eve has never been one to pay much attention to all the excitement and worship surrounding them.

She had seen little point, growing up somewhere that was never going to attract a god to their streets.

And besides, who would want to meet one of these higher beings when they so frequently take the lives of those they converse with?

L’univers des armes a feux me fascine tout autant que celui des arts-martiaux et des sports de combat. J’ai tiré pour la première fois a 12 ans. Pas au Canada, mais aux États-Unis, dans la réserve d’origine de mon père, là où il est née, a Akwesasne ou pour les non-initiés au kanyen'kéha, la réserve Mohawk de St-Régis, dans le comté de franklin. Pour ceux qui l’ignore, cette réserve est pile à la frontière entre le Canada et les États-Unis, point de passage de petits trafics en tout genre. Il n’y a pas de club de tir a Akwesasne, alors j’ai fait du tir dans un vaste champs, sur des bouteilles de bières, a l’amérindienne donc, mais a 12 ans, sans alcool. C’est de l’humour. Ma première arme était un Beretta. Le choc amoureux évident, je n’ai plus jamais donné mon cœur a une autre firme de production d’arme. Amour aussi des armes, j’ai ressenti l’adrénaline, l’odeur du métal chauffé après avoir doucement vidé le chargeur et cette seconde odeur plus subtile a l’air libre, celle de la poudre. Mon oncle maternel m’a appris le démontage et l’entretient des armes, leurs caractéristiques, leurs portée pratique et maximal, bref, un vrai court d’armement fait par un ancien militaire de carrière. Une chance inouïe pour moi. Évidement chez ma famille de l’autre coté de la frontière, j’ai le droit de pratiquer librement le tir et de posséder les armes de mon choix, toujours dans l’objectif de faire du tir sportif. Je suis assez bonne en pratique sur un 25 mètres avec un pistolet. J’ai rarement des accidents de tir et je connais les règles de manipulation sur le bout des doigts. Je connais tout autant les règles d’engagement (jargon militaire), mais cela est inutile de les connaitre, nous avons la chance de vivre dans un pays en paix. J’ai bien plus de facilité à utiliser un pistolet qu’un revolver. Je trouve ces derniers trop lourd et handicapant entre chaque coup. Pour ceux qui l’ignore, un pistolet est une arme de poing dite semi-automatique de taille réduite. La chambre est intégrée au canon. Il s’approvisionne avec un chargeur de 6 à 20 cartouches. L’énergie généré s’appuie sur la force explosive de la poudre au départ du coup et assure l’éjection de la douille et l’insertion d’une nouvelle cartouche dans la chambre.

Il y a des pistolets à simple action et à double action. Ceux à simple action exigent l’armement manuel du chien avant chaque mise à feu. L’introduction de la cartouche dans la chambre de tir s’effectue en tirant la glissière en arrière. Pour les doubles actions, seule la première fois exige l’armement par glissière ou le chien. Un pistolet possède 4 pièces : la glissière, le chargeur, le canon avec la chambre de tir (avec le ressort récupérateur et le guide), la carcasse. Le revolver lui, est aussi une arme de poing légère, mais avec un magasin cylindrique rotatif appelé aussi barillet. Très popularisé par les cowboys.

Cela prend 0.2 s entre le moment ou le tireur décide de faire feu et celui ou son doigt presse la détente. 0, 005s plus tard le percuteur frappe l’amorce de la cartouche. En 0,004s, la poudre entre en combustion. La poudre s’enflamme et la réaction chimique qui s’ensuit entraine une formation de gaz et une augmentation de la pression qui continu après l’éjection de la balle hors de l’âme du canon. En général la balle (le projectile) tourne à une vitesse de 1000 tour à la seconde. À une distance pratique de 25 mètres, la balle atteint sa cible en 0,1125s. Une arme de poing a une distance d'’efficacité de 50 mètre maximum. La portée dite pratique, n’excède que rarement 25 mètres ; c’est à cette distance que l’on est vraiment capable d’atteindre l’endroit de sa cible, au-delà, ce sera très hypothétique. Sur la photo, c’est un Mateba model 6 unica, un des rares revolver a la stabilité convenable. Il est beau, moderne, avec une efficacité effrayante sur cible a 20 mètres, un barillet de 6 cartouches. Les chaussures, ce sont des « Aldo », je plaisante une fois de plus. Le Mateba est rare. Mon modèle utilise des cartouches de 44 magnum, ce qui le rend encore plus rare. Mais sa rareté c’est son dispositif semi-automatique a rappel. Ce n’est pas commun chez un revolver. Un rhinocéros n’aurait aucune chance, même en chargeant il risquerait de tomber raide 2 mètres avant vous.
