Sinn ended up as a mercenary on accident by making friends with the wrong kind of people. However, she got such a thrill out of it and picked up the skills easily enough that she took it on as her career. Ulrich took her under his wing and taught her everything she needed to know to survive in this business. 

Her mother was killed by her father when she was a teenager. Her father had taken out a hefty life insurance policy on her mother and he had her killed in a hit and run incident. 

Upon her mother’s death, her father remarried another woman rather quickly. Sinn has hated her ever since she was brought into her life. Due to this, she became suspicious of her mother’s untimely death and found out the truth. The fact that she had never been close to either parent is why she never did anything about it initially.

Once she was allowed to move out on her own, Sinn blackmailed her father into giving her some kind of inheritance and monthly income to keep her quiet about his part in her mother’s death. Due to the amount of evidence she had on him for it, he reluctantly agreed. Aside from the monthly deposits into her account, Sinn has no contact with her father or stepmother.

The words tickled her. A wry smile forming over her lips at the comment. To anyone else it would’ve been a rather shocking thing to say, but Sinn wasn’t easily surprised or offended. She didn’t exactly think Inez was attempting to be either anyway. Or if the other woman was, Inez was saying it to the wrong person. “So what are you trying to say, Inez?” she questioned teasingly. “Because if it’s question of whether or not I love or hate you, I think it should be rather apparent now, don’t you think?”
