full clear vikayne xoxo
hey dove remember that time you sent me a full clear for an ask game that had 90ish questions on it. do u remember that time. this has been sitting in my drafts for so long and i never got it done but i want to debut this beautiful banner you made for them so you get the questions i picked and chose after trying (and failing) to do them all : ' )
Tumblr media
1. how did they first meet?
i can't remember if we've talked about this but i like the idea that they just happened to be in the same tavern, locked eyes, and then went. "mhm ok. yeah. mine." i mean AT LEAST i know that's what vika would do : ' )
2. how did they get together?
people are asking not really "how did they get together" but more along the lines of "when will they stop" -dutch. i kid but i am sure it was at least an hour of flirting, making literally everyone else feel like they have stopped mattering. because they did.
3. who kissed who first?
vika! lady knows what she wants. also, who could resist a man going, "kiss me or not if you like, lady graves".
4. what’s the relationship like? smooth? rocky?
i would say it's probably an even mixture of both. there is, of course, the fact that they get along so well because they are so similar in a lot of ways, and then also they are so similar in a lot of ways (lmao). vika is an insufferable minx and can't resist pushing a button once in a while, so i am SURE they see their fair share of turbulence.
5. what do they like the most about each other?
vika likes kayne's charm, his propensity for outfoxing most enemies, and the quickness at which he can unlace her from her corset. if i had to guess, i'd put kayne's favorite things about vika to be her mouth (literally and in the more charming sense) and her willingness to make a man cry.
6. who cleans the most? contrary to that, who is the messiest?
kayne. vika can be tidy, but the woman is a magpie--collects that which is shiny, puts it on display for people to admire. has an extensive wardrobe. likes to make people do things for her. you get the picture
7. who usually cooks?
not to be that person but i would SAY, DOVE, probably neither of them. or, if one of them HAS to cook, it ISN'T vika. not for any reason other than that the first time she cooks for kayne, he would probably say, "you are so lovely, do not ever do that again" and they would just accept she's not cut out for it.
8. who tends to worry the most?
oh, 10000% vika. i mean, kayne's fucking galavanting across the country most of the time; meanwhile, she's doing the safe kind of robbery. you know, the kind that's just stealing shit from drunk men. meanwhile she's got to worry about him like, getting hit by a TRAIN or something. (also, despite his confidence that nothing will go wrong, you must know how little she believes a man capable of not being an idiot).
9. who is more inclined to be jealous or possessive?
another point for vika. not that she would like, you know, make it obvious, but she does have a tendency to get catty/petty when she's feeling jealous. the girl grew up an orphan scrabbling for survival on the streets of london; the things that she has are very much Hers, non-negotiable.
10. how do they resolve their arguments?
in the bedroom wym
(i would say i am joking but i'm feeling pretty confident that this is true--what better way to resolve an argument than to blow off a little steam am i right ladies & gents)
11. who is the most physically affectionate?
kayne! vika is weird about physical touch outside of like, sex. not like she doesn't enjoy it, but she finds herself withholding it to see if someone is actually interested in her. meanwhile, kayne is very comfortable putting his hands wherever he pleases.
12. who has the most nightmares and how do they deal with them?
i think this would go to vika? she frequently gets nightmares and will usually assuage them by occupying herself otherwise--if kayne's in bed, lots of touching--otherwise reading!
13. who steals the blankets?
vika. it's her right as a woman
14. who gets cold the easiest?
probably also vika. the woman has a DELICATE CONSTITUTION, leave her ALONE
15. who pays for the food the most, when they go out?
i want to say kayne, but i think they'd split this pretty evenly, too. not for any reason than vika would want the novelty of paying for their meal.
16. do they enjoy dancing?
vika does not. nothing beyond like, a little sway back and forth, anyway. she can be coaxed into more by kayne if it's what he wants (with a HEFTY price tag), though.
17. do they ever trade clothes?
if you mean "does vika steal kayne's shirts and lounge in them salaciously across the bed until he pays attention to her", then yes
18. do they ever go swimming together?
what does she look like, a fucking animal? jk. once or twice they've had a romantic little dip, but it's not so much "swimming" as "being horny for each other in a body of moving water".
19. do they ever cook together?
pls refer back to #7 why would you ever leave this woman in charge of anything domestic
20. do they give each other nicknames?
oh, the usual. "my love", "my darling", "i'm going to throttle you" from vika. kayne loves to use pet names on her including (but not limited to) "vicky" when he feels like instigating a fight (aka romp in the sheets).
21. what do they like when going out for food?
WINE. someone get vika some WINE, this woman has been SUFFERING with cowboys!!!! nothing she'd love to do more than split a gorgeous bottle of wine with kayne.
22. do they attend any clubs or formal parties together?
yes! vika loves a good party. she loves a good party full of idiots she can swindle from. and kayne loves taking her to parties and showing her off.
23. who is the big spoon and why?
switches! vika is leggy and long and likes to be the big spoon, sometimes. i do think kayne is big spoon most frequently because she gets so cold and needs to have someone coddle her (baby).
24. what are their morning rituals?
on a normal day, their morning ritual consists of: laying in bed and doing a lot of touching, maybe a bath. kayne will get dressed (and vika will make """gentle"""" """"suggestions""""" on what he should where otherwise) and kayne, ever the Man, the Myth, the Legend, laces her into her corset and does a good job of undoing all of the hard work she put into getting ready for the day because they can't keep their hands off of each other. probably at some point they're able to get out the door, but yknow. hit or miss
25. thoughts on each other’s friends?
LMAOOOOO. i think the question should be their friends' thoughts on THE OTHER. vika cares a lot about the people that kayne cares about, even if she can be a little bad at showing it (sorry she is Wretched and Unyielding). kayne has Opinions(TM) on the van der linde gang and even arthur is not exempt (despite the fact that in some instances, arthur is invited (((frequently))) to join). i am sure kayne has some negative thoughts on dutch specifically and enjoys tormenting him.
26. do either of them have a crazy ex?
i don't know dove DOES HE HAVE A CRAZY EX?
27. is either one confrontational?
i am p sure vika moreso than kayne, though both are loathe to back down from something lmao.
28. who is the one that would bring the puppy home?
kayne. vika likes animals, but she'd never just pick up a dog and bring it home (in this dress? please). she would also probably act like she didn't want it and then be the dog parent that ends up sleeping with the puppy lmao.

6 IAF officers get Vayu Sena medal for gallantry: Here are their stories
As the Indian Air Force celebrated its 85th anniversary on October 8, it honoured six officers with Vayu Sena Medals for gallantry.
From an officer who took on terrorists during the attack on the Pathankot airbase and confined them to a specific area, which eventually proved to be the gamechanger; to the officer who saved sixteen lives (and an MI 17 helicopter); to the pilot whose relentless flying helped douse a hill fire that was threatening to reach the Vaishno Devi Shrine in Jammu & Kashmir; to officers who braved machine failure and damage in the air to prevent catastrophe on the ground -- here are their stories.
Squadron Leader Bhavesh Kumar Dubey On January 2, 2016 when heavily armed terrorists stormed the Pathankot Air Force Station, Squadron Leader Bhavesh Kumar Dubey was leading a squad of IAF Special Forces for a search operation at the under-attack air base.A UAV contact with four suspects was reported to Dubey at about 2.45 am inside MES Yard. Showing keen situational awareness, Dubey estimated that the terrorists were in close proximity to the residential area and immediately deployed his forces to lay a cordon. While searching the area, his team came under intense hostile fire from terrorists, grievously injuring one of his team members. Dubey maintained his composure and effectively marshalled his troops and spread them out in the area to contain the terrorists within a designated area. Despite a gunshot wound on the right thigh, Squadron Leader Dubey led from the front and along with his buddies, continued to fight with four terrorists at extremely close range. As a result, he was able to contain them at the same spot for 25 minutes till reinforcements arrived and was able to prevent the terrorists from entering the residential area and creating a possible hostage situation. Dubey also evacuated his injured buddy and returned to action immediately. He then continued to lead his troops till the conclusion of the operation on January 7, 2016.

Squadron Leader Vikas Puri
Squadron Leader Vikas Puri is a flying pilot and posted with the MI-17 Helicopter Unit since 2013. On March 12, 2016, Puri was detailed to fly a MI-17 helicopter from Shillong to Tezpur with AOC-in-C, HQ EAC and other senior officials of his entourage on board. The first 30 minutes of the flight were uneventful. Then suddenly, the aircraft experienced fuel booster pump failure which immediately leads of a “rarest of the rare” emergency of “both engine failure” in MI-17 choppers. Flying at a height of only 4,000 feet in a difficult terrain and with very limited time in hand, Puri promptly analysed the situation and initiated correct recovery actions. Unaware of the actual cause of failure, displaying exceptional courage, astute technical knowledge, exceptional crew coordination, time ingenious actions and adept handling of the toughest emergency in a helicopter, Squadron Leader Puri recovered the aircraft safely by force-landing it. Even while losing height critically, the officer maintained his composure and dexterously manoeuvred the helicopter to safety barely 250 meters above ground level and averted a certain catastrophe.

Squadron Leader Sukhwinder Singh Multani In the wee hours of May 18, 2016, the Indian Air Force received a frantic call from Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board saying a forest fire was raging on the Trikuta hill and was fast approaching the Shrine. Squadron Leader Multani was immediately tasked with dousing the fire by using a Helicopter Bambi bucket. Multani got airborne for the site in a jiffy. By then, the fire had turned into an inferno and was only 100 meters away from the main walkway to the shrine, putting at risk the lives of thousands of pilgrims. The fire was spotted on a steep slope surrounded by tall trees making it inaccessible to the firefighters on the ground. Realising the criticality of time, Multani identified the reservoir of Salal Dam at Riasi as a potential source to fill up water. Reduced visibility due to smoke, excessive turbulence and limited turn radius reduced any margin of error as the aircraft had to be operated at its maximum capacity. The alignment of the fire line required the water drop to be carried out in a direction facing into the hill, making it dangerously difficult unlike other firefighting operations. With the Bambi bucket under slung at 30 meters below the aircraft, the terrain clearance was marginal. The complexity of the mission required courage and skilful handling of the chopper maintaining a high degree of situational awareness. During the process of dousing the fire, the bunch cable holding the Bambi bucket had got entangled, making it impossible to fill up the water. Returning to base for rectification would have caused loss of precious time and would have allowed the fire to spread. Squadron Leader Multani located a restricted but clear patch next to the reservoir and with no assistance available of ground to secure the Bambi bucket, he deftly manoeuvered the aircraft to land safely. He then himself removed the entanglement and resumed the firefighting operations.Accurate and relentless operations succeeded in dousing the fire and preventing a major catastrophe on the Trikuta hills.

Squadron Leader Abhishek Singh Tomar
A pilot who while flying a sortie experience multiple failures in quick succession and still managed to land with a single engine preventing a Category 1 accident and saving a valuable aircraft. Flying in a difficult terrain, he experienced oil system failure after 20 minutes of flying. Subsequently, the left engine of the aircraft caught fire. Tomar calmly assessed the situation and reacted in a controlled manner while staying with the plane. On experiencing oil system failure, he correctly switched off the engine and prevented an engine seizure. He managed to land with a single engine and recover the aircraft.
Squadron Leader Abhishek Singh Tomar. (Others)

Squadron Leader Rijul Sharma
A pilot who was authorised to fly an air test sortie on MIG 29 aircraft, which involved testing of aircraft at supersonic speeds at a height of 10 kilometres. While conducting this test in Supersonic Flying Corridor, 110 kilometres away from base at a speed of 1.1 Mach—which corresponds to 1200-1300 kmph of true air speed, the canopy perspex of the aircraft shattered resulting in explosive decompression and perspex pieces hitting Sharma on the right shoulder. Notwithstanding the reduced frontal visibility, very high cockpit noise level and heavy aircraft weight, Sharma skillfully handled the damaged aircraft and executed a safe emergency landing. He not just saved his own life and the aircraft, but also prevented possible catastrophic damage to en-route strategically important and vital petro-chemical installations and populated areas.
Squadron Leader Rijul Sharma. (Others)
×
Squadron Leader Ramesh Verma
A pilot who was authorised for a battle innoculation mission. While carrying out the attack profile, the front canopy burst with a loud bang. Verma was hit by large pieces of canopy perspex with great force on his next, resulting in deep wound and injury to his shoulder. The severe wind blast also caused his head to hit the canopy combing, almost rendering him unconscious. Verma was quick to regain control of the aircrat using his instincts. The aircraft was very close to Bareilly town and an ejection would have resulted in catastrophic damage on the ground. He displayed exceptional courage to brave the strong air blast inside the cockpit, very hazy vision and grave injuries to his shoulder and arm while recovering the aircraft. He prevented loss of property on ground and recovered an expensive aircraft despite being wounded.

okokokokok this is a bit i'm working on featuring my rdr2 oc vika & @heroofpenamstan's oc kayne under the cut because they're gross they're disgusting they're in love let me live
It’s a little ridiculous. All things considered, it’s very ridiculous, especially with the understanding that Vika has known a lot of men in her life; not all intimately, of course. But a man is a man is a man, she liked to say.
And yet, feeling early-morning sun through the curtains warming her skin, followed by the familiar touch of calloused fingers gliding down her spine, she feels those troublesome moths fluttering in her stomach. Quit that, she thinks idly, lazily, without venom, stop this messing about immediately. We know better.
She does know better. But she turns her face to look at Kayne, and lays there while threads his fingers through her hair and lets it slip through like water, the pattering in her ribs continues. Annoying.
“Well, you’ve woken me,” she drawls, voice rough from sleep—and, she reminds herself absently, previous activities—and Kayne smiles like he can see exactly what it is she’s thinking about. “I suppose you think yourself very clever, having goaded me into your bed again.”
The brunette leans down and presses his mouth to her shoulder, lifting his eyes to hers. “Is it clever, Lady Graves, if I enter a conversation I already know the outcome of?”
His voice is warm; despite the gentle reprimand in his words, he softens it with another kiss as he works his way up-up-up.
“Do not jest with me, O’Driscoll.” Vika narrows her eyes. “I could say no to you, if I liked.”
