g words
The G House is my piece of heaven in this shithole, always.
The G House is where I crash and burn. It's my best friend's humble home. Whenever I feel lost and fucked to the nines, this location is my waiting room. When all war rooms bomb me to death, I find my peace in this mala-probinsiya pero in Manila house.
One of the characters in the G House is Tito G, the boomer patriarch. He used to be a mining engineer and a terrorist prof in one of the state universities na hindi UP. LOL. Tito G is the eldest of 9 kids from his Momma and Papuh somewhere in the compounds of Pasay. Currently, he's a homebody because he had so many days and nights spent away from his family. He doesn't like eating out because he believes that homecooked meals are the best, and the healthiest. Tito G is intimidating because he has this flow where he won't say much unless you engage him. Very boomer. His very OC ways irks me and amazes me, too. I'd like to list down our tiny storylines because it's been so long since I last visited my place of peace amidst the chaos. Eto 'yung kung gusto mo ng OG kausap, siya na pinnacle, siya pa epitome. LOL. Me: Asan ka nung may pa-landing sa moon? TG: Ay, syempre nanood sa bahay. May isip na ako noon e. Me: Hulaan ko. TV niyo yung may cabinet. TG: Consul na may dalawang speakers. Tapos syempre, may antenna kami na mahaba. Mahirap ang signal noon e. Me: Giba. TG: Anong giba? Me: May nakita akong ibang brand ng scooter. Lambretta. Alam mo 'yun? TG: Syempre. Maganda 'yan pero mahirap parts niyan ngayon. Maganda rin naman Vespa. Very classic. Meron pa palang Lambretta ngayon. Me: Awawww. Ikaw na. TG: Anong ako na? Me: Sabi mo basic kayo e bakit kayo lang may unang bahay na bato sa Pasay street n'yo? TG: Basic need 'yun. Si Papuh, empleyo lang sa Meralco. Me: Tapos nung WW, kakatapos lang tapos 9 kayo. Paano 'yun? TG: 'Di ko rin alam. Magaling si Momma. Me: 'Pag nakain kayong 9 with Momma and Papuh, paano? 'Di kayo nagaagawan sa food kasi marami kayo? TG: Importante ang pagkain. Kaya lagi kaming sabay-sabay. Walang agawan. Lahat nasa mesa. Me: 'Pag may manok na ulam, paanong hatian? TG: Tag-iisa kaming leg quarter. Me: E 'di hindi kayo basic. TG: Basic kami sa compound namin. Me: Sabi mo Papuh mo empleyo lang. E paano siya naka-bounce back agad after the war? TG: Kahit giyera, tuloy ang trabaho ni Papuh. Meralco e. Me: Totoo nga yatang may liwanag ang buhay sa Meralco. 'Di ba kayo money launderer, Tito? TG: Hindi naman siguro. Me: Pag sure? TG: Anong ibig sabihin ng "pag sure"? TG: Kain na ng breakfast. Anong gusto? Tinapay na toasted with butter? Oatmeal? Cereals na may gatas? Kanin at ulam? Me: IF ako e. TG: Ang breakfast ay mahalaga. Me: Mas mahalaga ang IF at putok na clavicle. TG: Bakit pumuputok ang clavicle? Me: Anong magandang sasakyan? TG: 'Yung matibay. Me: Anong kulay saka model? TG: Unahin mo muna 'yung madali hanapan ng parts saka okay ang service.
Me: Tara na kasi, Tito. Alis tayo. TG: Sawa na ako diyan. Nung nasa minahan pa ako, naka-helicopter ako papunta at pabalik kung saan-saan. Manila to Cagayan. Manila to Davao. Wala akong pahinga. Me: Boogsh. Kabogstra. E for work naman 'yun e. TG: Parehas lang ang work at 'di work. Me: Boomer bombs dropping. TG: Natutulog ka pa ba? Me: Tingin mo? TG: Importanteng matulog. Sa minihan, maaga ang gising. Maaga ang tulog. Puwede pang mag-tennis. Me: Wala tayo sa minihan, Tito. Kaya ganun grind mo kasi nasa liblib kayong lugar. Try mo punta sa Poblacion ng makita mo ang katotohanan. TG: Saang Poblacion? Me: Bakit kailangang pantay-pantay sa linya ng floor ang mga seats sa dining table bago ka matulog? TG: (Explain the concept behind kaemerutan ng stress sa chair and how it is impacted by the placement of the chairs on top of the floor.) Me: Tito, hindi mo nasagot masyado tanong ko. OC ka. Period.
Me: F1 na replay? TG: Para sa bagong laban, updated ako. Me: Ayaw mo Ogie Diaz Channel? TG: Ogie Alcasid 'yun 'di ba? Me: Ewan ko sa'yo. Hirap mong kausap minsan. Sendan kita link.
TG: Bakit ang tagal mong 'di bumisita? Me: Nadepress. Me: Tamagotchi talaga ba ako? TG: Ano 'yun? Tama...?
I love these convos with Tito G. Hindi kasi siya hambog pasavogue pero sobrang legit na as is, where is lang siya. Hindi ko rin siya masabing tatay figure kasi mala-Tito talaga siya. His usual downtime pagkatapos ng mga trabahong bahay like laba at luto: Inom ng very Tito bote ng San Mig ni Fernando Poe which is eew. HAHAHAHA.
So, ayun na nga po. There goes my Tito G and some superb combos in the G House. Let this be a reminder that boomers just need a space where they can pakawala their ka-boomeran pero may sense naman sila. OG nga e.

AFP Decisively Targets Terrorists
Tumblr media
A Week of Tactical Triumphs
In a relentless pursuit of peace and security, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has successfully neutralized a significant threat to national stability, as reported by the Philippine News Agency. Throughout the week, from February 18 to 24, the AFP has reported the successful neutralization of 13 insurgents, including members of the communist New People's Army (NPA) and the terrorist Dawlah-Islamiyah-Maute Group (DI-MG), across the Visayas and Mindanao regions.
Courage Under Fire
General Romeo Brawner Jr., AFP Chief, commended the valor of the troops involved in these operations. "You are our nation's heroes," he stated, further emphasizing the dedication and bravery of the forces in safeguarding peace. Additionally, this operational success brings the Philippines closer to achieving its long-sought goal of enduring peace, thereby showcasing the military's unwavering commitment to protecting its citizens from insurgency and terrorism.   Strategic Operations Yield Results The operations were widespread and meticulously planned. In Albay, Barangay Salvacion witnessed the capture of weapons from NPA rebels by the 49th Infantry Battalion. Similarly, collaborative efforts in Bohol, Agusan Del Norte, Cagayan, and Negros Occidental led to the dismantling of significant insurgent and terrorist elements, further destabilizing their networks and reducing their capacity to disrupt national peace. Notably, an operation targeting the DI-MG resulted in the neutralization of members responsible for the Mindanao State University bombing, underscoring the AFP's resolve to address terrorism. The military's efforts have led to the dismantling of the leadership structures of these groups, significantly weakening their operational capabilities.   National Defense and Commendation The Department of National Defense, led by Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr., echoed the military's sentiments, particularly praising the operations against the DI-MG. The Secretary highlighted the importance of these operations in maintaining national security and expressed the nation's gratitude towards the troops for their sacrifices.
The Dawlah-Islamiyah-Maute Group
The Dawlah-Islamiyah-Maute Group, an armed Islamist faction operating in Lanao del Norte and Lanao del Sur, has been a significant security concern for the Philippines. Emerging in 2014, the DI-MG pledged allegiance to ISIS, adopting violent means in their quest to establish an Islamic caliphate. Despite being weakened by military operations, the group continues to pose a threat through sporadic attacks and recruitment activities.   Sources: THX News, Wikipedia, The George Washington University, Australian National Security & Philippine News Agency. The Transformative Power of Education: Exploring the Mission of College of Education Programs
There are various Teacher Education courses offered in Cagayan de Oro. These programs vary from subject specialization and year level. These courses have a profound impact on education. Educational institutions vastly impact individuals and society as a whole. This article intends to tackle the power of education.
The Mission of the College of Education Programs
The programs under the college aim to produce highly competent teachers through quality teaching, research, and service for global and lifelong learning. Teachers have a lasting impact on their student's lives, so it is important to teach future educators about their impressions of future students.
Building a Strong Educational Foundation
Teachers have a lasting impact on their students. They can shape students into successful individuals. Teachers must have a solid educational foundation to help their students succeed. A strong learning foundation is cognitive, social, and emotional skills intertwined. A strong foundation builds understanding and promotes ethical behavior.
Fostering Lifelong Learning
Programs under the college instill a passion for continuous learning. Teaching programs are not the only profession that should follow lifelong learning. However, in the teaching profession, it is vital to be updated with the latest trends and innovations to deliver the best education experience to students. Professional education courses always emphasize the importance of evolution in teaching and learning.
Embracing Diversity and Inclusion
Programs under the college continuously promote diversity and inclusion in education. The Philippines has taken strides in improving diversity and inclusion in educational institutions. Former President Rodrigo Duterte signed the Republic Act. 11650, which states that "it shall recognize, protect, and promote the rights of all learners with disabilities, including those belonging to ethnic, religious, or linguistic minorities or persons of indigenous origin, to education compulsory and accessible to them by ensuring that no learner with a disability is deprived of the right of access.."
Promoting Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving
Teacher education courses offered in Cagayan de Oro teach its students the importance of critical thinking and problem-solving. Numerous circumstances can be encountered in the profession, which is why these two skills are vital. These skills come into play from teaching in the classroom to resolving issues within the institution. Teachers also impart critical thinking and problem-solving skills to their future students. Mastery and improvement are needed to pass these skills on successfully.

Educational Leadership
Educational programs equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to lead their institutions. Every institution needs its leaders, from classroom leaders, department heads, and level heads to becoming principals or directors of the institution. Being a leader in the educational profession significantly impacts the landscape of education, no matter the scale.
Conclusion
Professional education courses truly have transformative capabilities in the field. The courses taught in education programs emphasize the importance of the abovementioned skills. Effective teaching methods begin as future educators learn as they enroll in these programs. Liceo de Cagayan University's School of Teacher Education aims to produce effective teachers who can positively impact the education system. IT IS TO INSPIRE EVERYONE THAT, WHEN YOU HAVE DREAM, YOU CAN WORK FOR IT TO ACHIEVE!!
“HOW DO I FOUND MY DREAM JOB”
Everyone is meant with different destiny. Each of individual has our own dream.  A dream that we think the best job for ourselves, a profession that we could be proud of.
I live my young lives simple, imperfect and I could say that I really don’t enjoy my child life not because I have strict parents but because since I was young, I prefer staying at home than socializing with my childhood but at the young age, I start to dream to be professional someday. While on my primary grades, there is no profession comes on my mind that I wanted to become but, on this level, want I want is to use a ballpen and a yellow pad on my class. It’s funny indeed but yes, this are my simple dream during my 3rd grade because I thought these days that pencil is not what I want to use when I write that also the time, I started to dream of becoming a teacher. But as the days have passed, I once saw a police officers in our province and I thought, I wanted to become a policewoman because their uniform is kind of unique. I was on my fifth grade when I started to dream to be a teacher. I thought on the last three years of my elementary, I wrap up my mind of becoming a teacher in the future, but it is also what I thought.
During my Junior High School, I started to dream on different profession like I want to become a fire woman, a photographer, a writer, a news anchor, and many more but what really, I wanted to become is to be a flight attendant. I also remember that there is one time, a graduating student form BS Social Work from this University (St. Paul University Philippines) come in our school for the interview, I don’t remember what for is the interview, but I remembered when she asked me what I want to become, and I proudly say “Gusto ko pong maging flight attended”. I still remember her expression in that time w=and what she answered is, “A flight attendant should at least 5’4 in height”. I know she didn’t exactly say that I am not good in that profession but what she has answered make me realized a lot of things like “how should my parents finance my course”, How should I be able to enter that course when they have physical preferences”?
Years passed; I was on my 11th grade when I decided to become a teacher. Yes, finally I comeback on my first dream profession.  I finished my senior high school with that dream. I live those years thinking that someday, in Gods permit I will successfully become a teacher. So, when I graduated Senior High School, I take the entrance exam in Cagayan State University with my three choices profession. 1st, Based Math, 2nd, BS Math, and 3rd is social worker.  I passed my exam with a rate that are applicable for the choices I want, but unfortunately, I processed my papers late that’s why I didn’t get slot, so the teacher offers another course for me. I accepted the offer, Education also but I started to enroll in other universities with my dream course. Sadly, enrolling online is the biggest struggle I have experienced.
God always have a purpose in every situation indeed, because when I am struggling to enroll in the different Universities with my dream course, an alumnus of SPUP who once become my dormmate during my senior high school sent me a message saying that SPUP is offering scholarship for college students. So, I grab the opportunity, despite of the struggle travelling from our town to this university, I traveled on the said date for me to catch up for the start of the school year. I enrolled Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics right away.
Taking this course is challenging specially that, I started my university course through online. When my second year is about to end, and one of my final requirements is demonstration with our done lesson plan, I started to think twice. “How could I finish and stand with my course when I have a stage fright?” But fortunately, I successfully finished my first two years, and I am now on my third year.
Balancing my academic and my responsibility as student aid is much more challenging for me, but with the help of those people who supporting and believing in me become my inspiration to continue the race of my chosen field.  And with the guidance from the above, I know I, in the future become an educator like those teachers who inspire me to dream with that profession.
Teachers thought the young one on how to read and write, inspires the child to dream on and to work for it. Some teachers are teaching not only academically but also for personal touch of young lives.  A teacher that motivates the young ones to continue the race of every individuals dream and chosen field. They say, “TEACHER IS THE NOBLEST PROFESSION” and I know, choosing this field will be more worth it and I will be proud of someday.

Blog #1: WHO AM I???
Hello there, beautiful people, I’m Julie Ann B. Saring but you can call me Ann, 16 years of age and a grade 11-STEM student at Saint Paul University Philippines. I reside at Sta. Filomena, Abulug, Cagayan and was born on August 17, 2006. Who am I? You guys might be wondering. So, let me tell you about myself so you can get to know me better. Now go ahead and start reading!
I’m a person who’s full of ideas, questions, thoughts and imaginations. I’m introvert and I value my privacy and alone time very much. I’m also selfless, understanding, caring, kind, and generous. I have an older brother who’s already 19 years old and my mother is a government employee while my father is a retired OFW. Maybe some of you may think that I’m spoiled because I’m the youngest but the truth is, I’m not. I learned how to be responsible and be mature at a young age. Before making decisions, I always consider everything and think things thoroughly. Life thought me lessons that mold me into a better person.
Music has always been a part of my life. I've been exposed to the beauty of music since I was young, which is why I adore singing and use it to convey my emotions. Instruments and sports have always intrigued me. I like capturing everything, especially when we travel. I tend to explore things I'm not familiar with, and my eyes shine with excitement when I discover something. I enjoy reading, watching, eating, and sleeping. I adore various animals, especially dogs. In the future, I desire to establish my own business while also working as a doctor. You may say I'm ambitious, but I believe that dreams motivate people to work harder and to carry on living in this mysterious world.
The prospect of the future terrifies me greatly. I find myself constantly wondering if I will still be alive in ten years. Am I going to be successful? What will happen to me? Well, my fear ignites a tremendous desire within me to face everything. It gives me the confidence to continue pursuing my ambitions because I will not allow myself to suffer in the future. Since I have no control over the future and will never know what will happen, the question of where I will be in 10 years will always be a mystery to me. However, if I'm given a chance to imagine my future, I would say that I would be the person I've always desired to be: someone stronger, fiercer, bolder, more adventurous, and who exudes confidence. I see myself ten years from now as one of the most prosperous doctors who know how to put her knowledge to a better use. A Doctor who also runs her own business to boost her income to help others. Maybe a decade from now, I'll be settling down with my lover also and we'll start our journey along the mysterious path we'll take. He will be my safe haven and whom I will spend each day from dusk 'till dawn.
I'm a STEM student at Saint Paul University Philippines (SPUP), as I've already stated. I chose SPUP because I believe that it will help me develop and improve my skills.  SPUP has been a phenomenal school in guiding individuals in achieving their goals. This institution provides excellent leadership and upholds high standards. Students are disciplined and taught learnings that will be beneficial in the future. And I'm one of the fortunate youngsters who will use their guidance to improve myself.
STEM is the strand I chose, and I believe it to be a wise decision, given that nursing will be my future course. The ideal pre-med course for me to help me develop my abilities and increase my knowledge to become a Doctor is Nursing. I have wanted to spread warmth to others since I was young. I enjoy helping people, especially those who are in need. I feel euphoric when I can make people smile. My heart melts when I see hope in their eyes. Because doctors can save lives, I also want to give another reason for people to live. I believe in the saying, “Medicines cure diseases but Doctors cure patients”.
Dreams motivate us despite the several uncertainties in life. Believing in yourself while being happy is the way to achieve success. Keep moving forward, but never forget to include God in all you do because he will always guide and help you. That's it, and I sincerely hope all of you gained some insight into who I am. I hope everyone in this blogging community will greet me with open arms and a sweet smile. Those are just a little introductions about me; there will be more. I'll provide more information about myself along the way and guide you to the journey of my story. Together, let's explore and learn more about this world full of mystery. Let’s unfold each other’s mystery that will inspire others using this platform. I sincerely hope you enjoy it and everyone will have a wonderful day. I appreciate all of you for taking the time to read my blog. So, see you soon, mates! Adiós for now!

Books for Marawi: Malaysian Generosity Enriches Mindanao
Tumblr media
A Beacon of Hope for Marawi Schoolchildren
In a heartwarming act of solidarity and support, the Malaysian government and the renowned book retailer Big Bad Wolf Books have extended their hands across the sea to Marawi City, Lanao del Sur, donating more than 1,000 books to the city's schoolchildren. This generous initiative aims to foster good relations between Malaysia and the Philippines and significantly boost literacy rates among the youth of Mindanao.
Strengthening Literacy and Relations
A Partnership for Education Malaysian Ambassador Dato Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino emphasized the initiative's role in strengthening bilateral ties.
