back!!!! (well, kind of, not really, etc etc.) how is everyone are you well!!! taking a short break from writing this essay due at 9am tomorrow to say i miss rpf [smoking blunt] pass the yaoi…….some arsenal / rpf thoughts under the cut!

- studied tennyson’s ulysses in class the other day and this part of it reminded me SO MUCH of the current arsenal team i was like oughh.

Recently reread "I Am the Water That Kills Your Thirst" because it is one of the best fics and I love it an insane amount. It got me thinking about an angsty fic where Gabi promises Fabi he'll wait, or maybe he didn't. Not aloud anyway. Fabio just assumed Gabi would wait for him, that he'd come back and they'd restart. Gabi doesn't wait though, Cala arrives and Gabi is captivated. He and Fabi were schoolboy crushes, Gabi thinks Cala is the real deal. It's Jorgi who tells Fabio that Gabi's moved on. There's lots of sadness and pain and what ifs and its basically a fic to emotional torture Fabio - 💙🤍

I will take the compliment! I had so much fun writing that fic, I'm happy people enjoy reading it :')

I can't lie, I think quite a lot about angsty Fabio in Porto: struggling to get back to his rookie super form, struggling to get along with the coach, navigating old friendships (I have this abstract idea for a fic where Fabio gets back with Joao Mario - his childhood Porto bestie - and then he realizes his heart is elsewhere) and new ones, dealing with angry fans on both sides, and then feeling like he's losing Gabi to Cala.

To be fair, I find Cala and Gabi to have more of a schoolboy crushes vibes. Like they get along, there's sparks almost immediately, but they spend more and more time together and both realize they only connect on a surface level. On the other end, Gabi (like irl Gabi) has mentioned that Fabio is his best friend because he can have deep conversations with him (and their girlfriends get along which is super cute!). (I'm also very compelled by CalaRice and other Cala ships so maybe I'm biased here)

I definitely want to write a fic where Fabio gets tortured emotionally by a calanelli relationship/situationship, but I know myself too well... I can't write an unhappy ending (in this case, for my kicked kitty fabio), meaning it has to be fabinelli end game

Also, Jorgi would definitely snitch on Gabi. This is canon, and if I do write this fic, he'll be the first one to yap.

Feel like I diverged quite a bit and rambled in circles but thank you for the ask, beloved anon <3
