am i gonna have to write the fic i want to see in the world. i'm tired though
#BEAU AND CALEB POLITICAL THRILLER / YASHA AND ESSEK VS THE HOA (ALSO A THRILLER)#like. there's a scene of beau and astrid Very seriously discussing how she's handling being an archmage#caleb is napping in beau's office bc he was up half the night combing through witness statements#smash cut to essek and yasha scream laughing on essek and caleb's porch at the literal hate mail pinned to the door that's like#'your garden is an eyesore as is your crick' which inspires them to turn half the front yard into a garden as well#caleb gets home and is very excited about this development. he's a farmboy and he's happy to see essek is making this place his home#in the bg beau and yasha are bouncer-style forcing old lady number 6 off the premises#turns out caleb wasn't napping he had to handle a volstrucker that tried to break into beau's office presumably to destroy evidence#they're all trying to protect each other from certain things. to lighten the load. it's also very much a slapstick comedy because of this
