One thing I will never get used to while trying to learn russian are those two letters: ы and ь
I just can't pronounce ы, it always sounds so stupid whenever I say it and my mom always gets a chuckle out of it (she and my father speak russian)
And ь doesn't even have a pronunciation in itself but rather it just softens up the pronunciation of another letter
#calm down cece you decided to learn it on your own accord#reason I learn russian is because my family is slavic but since we're living in germany I learned german first#which was a really stupid move because now I don't understand russian unless maybe a few words or sentences#my grandpa always teases me for it and speaks to me in russian on purpose#knowing I can't understand most of what he says#he speaks german perfectly well btw#but yea enough about me ranting
