I was rewatching the S1 finale and I noticed something I had forgotten and that made me think about two possible interpretations of Tom's actual behavior.
In the last tomjake talk, Tom said that they both should have taken some time when Jake asked him if he would still talk to him. This implies that Tom needed time before he got back in touch with Jake.
Now, we know from Ellie that Tom ignored Jake's calls. At this point there may be two options:
1. Jake ignored what Tom told him and, not respecting his decision, he started calling him right after and Tom felt too much pressure and disappointment from this;
2. Jake waited and started calling him after some time, but Tom couldn't work on himself as he wanted and so he didn't feel ready to be in contact with Jake again.
Will they tell us anything about this matter? Guess we'll find out soon.

I've seen people calling Tom a hypocrite for scolding Jake because in the previous challenges he also pushed Jake and Grett, but the situations seem different to me. I think Tom's reproach is motivated by the fact that Jake and Aiden worked togheter to take the sack but then Jake didn't esitate to push his helper. But of course I may be wrong and Tom was really just hypocrite 😂
