I don’t think i ever did a proper introduction to my semi-human au so im doing one now-

- all characters keep monster-like features (horns, tails, etc) but have humanoid bodies

- the au is set during MU (and sometimes before the epilogue if im feeling like it)

- before the epilogue of MU, OK let Mike and Sulley stay at the OK house until they earned enough money from working as mail-guys to get their own place

- a few weeks after, mike persuaded sulley’s parents to let them stay at their house but sulley’s dad always held a grudge at sulley for getting expelled ://

- mike is blind in his right eye due to an incident in his childhood (ill probably make a mini comic about it when im better at drawing)

- he graduated high school 1 year early and therefore is 17

- mike had longer hair and wore glasses in high school but cut his hair and started wearing contacts when he got to MU in the hopes that less people would make fun of him

- he has a huge problem with pulling at his hair and biting his nails/picking skin around his nails

- biggest nerd you’ll ever meet.

- he does not own an article of clothing that has no food stains.

- bro has the BMI of a branch

- absolutely a theatre kid (he probably played Michael from BMC during high school)

- middle child out of 3 siblings ( he has an older brother (24) and a younger sister (9)

- autistic (my most popular post is literally me explaining why i hc this so i had to put it in my au)

-mainly because his dad was always at work and had enough money to hire people to raise him

- he kept a journal that he’d vent in during middle school but stopped using it after one of his friends almost found it (he’s a bit paranoid 😅)

- he uses being accepted by others as a way to distract himself from his shitty home life and his emotional problems (thanks @clown-cocodrile for making this hc!)

- MASSIVE fear of abandonment

- he was forced to befriend other scarer’s kids by his dad

Im now curious about your headcanons of their backstory and family drama you were talking about

Im gonna try to condense this as much as much as possible so most of the detail will be left out! I also wanna leave it mysterious so i can make angst art about it later on :3

Mike’s family:

Martha - mike’s mother, born and raised in poland and moved to america for work

Lev - mike’s dad, born and raised in russia and moved to america for work, changed his name to Louis

David - mike’s older brother, 9 years older than mike

Mia - mike’s younger sister, 9 years younger than mike

To summarise it all, when mia was born martha decided to divorce Louis because he had developed severe depression and was taking up space and got full custody while Louis got sent to therapy, after the divorce Martha went back to work (she’s a doctor), leaving david to watch mike and mia, but David was studying for med school so mike ended up taking care of mia until he got to MU (he saved money by working at the local library and got mia a babysitter)

Sulley’s family:

Elizabeth - sulley’s mum, ex-PNK president, did scaring for a year before starting a modelling career

Bill - sulley’s dad, ex-ROR vice president

To summarise sulley’s family, Elizabeth had a massive obsession with being perceived as perfect, being very controlling and demanding to get her way, her favourite one to use was the fact there was always eyes on them (bc they’re both massive celebrities), bill was a major pushover and would conform, but around the time sulley went to MU, he stood up for himself, the last straw before they divorced was Elizabeth making fun of mike and saying he wasn’t deserving to be with sulley
