Although 'Carbuckety' is usually the name of a kitten in western productions, and Shiki Gilbert is more or less based on golden Alonzo in his design, in Shiki they swap roles: Gilbert is a kitten and Carbuckety is an adult. In fact, Carbuckety often acts paternally toward Gilbert, as well as taking on part of Broadway Alonzo's role in pairing up with Demeter!
