fascinating subject in Physics and the students who want to take up a career in electricity can opt for btech Electrical Engineering courses offered by many engineering colleges in India and abroad.
What is the course content?
B.Tech program in electrical engineering spans four years which is usually divided into eight semesters. The students are taught the various concepts related to electricity and electric machineries. A thorough technical knowledge of various electrical machines such as motors, generators and transformers are imparted to the students along with the knowledge of AC current, DC current, electromagnetism, control systems, circuits and many more.
The first year of btech Electrical Engineering courses deals with many common engineering subjects such as engineering physics and mathematics, mechanics of solids, engineering graphics, elements of mechanical and electrical engineering, etc. The various topics specifically related to electricity are introduced in the second year such as circuits, micro controllers, power electronics, switchgear, electrical design, high voltage engineering, advanced power electronics, electromagnetism, etc. The common subjects that are taught in many semesters are electrical machine design and engineering mathematics. Students are required to elect a subject of their choice in different semesters. The elective subjects may be different depending upon the college.
B.Tech electrical engineering programs also feature electrical lab sessions for the students to get enough practical exposure in working with electrical components. Workshops are also routinely organized by the department.
Post graduation
M.Tech courses in Electrical Engineering are offered in a plethora of sub-fields of electrical engineering. Some of them are listed below
·       Control engineering means the designing of controllers for controlling many dynamic systems and finds application in propulsion systems of aircrafts, cruise control in automobiles, etc. Control engineering involves electronic circuits, microcontrollers and digital signal processors.
·       Electronics engineering deals with the design and construction of electronic circuits and the modern integrated circuits that are used in modern computers and other electronic devices.
·       Power engineering is the branch of electrical engineering that deals with the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity and the design of various devices such as transformers, electric motors, electric generators, etc.
·       Signal processing deals with the various aspects of analysis and manipulation of signals.
Other specialized fields of electrical engineering include instrumentation, telecommunications, computer and microelectronics.
Admission
Getting admission into a B.Tech program in electrical engineering requires the student to pass the intermediate exam with Physics and Math prior to qualifying the entrance test. In India, JEE Mains is the principal exam for securing a seat in B.Tech course. Individual entrance tests are also conducted by many private universities. For example, St Andrews Institute of Technology and Management, Gurgaon grants admission into its B.Tech program in electrical engineering and other disciplines on the basis of JEE rank.
M.Tech courses in Electrical Engineering are offered by many reputed institutions in India. The engineering graduate must clear the GATE examination to gain admission in an M.Tech course.

Career Scope of Electronics and Communication Engineering - Know More with ACEIT
Tumblr media
The increasing interdependence of the software and hardware industries enable Electronics and telecommunication to continuously evolve as a promising domain for budding engineers of top engineering colleges Rajasthan. This is useful for the job opportunities and promising in terms of industry growth and potential scopes for research. If individual is an aspiring ECE engineer of Top Electronics Engineering Colleges, they can have dearth of opportunities after completing B.Tech /B.E.
Important career opportunities for ECE students
Students of BTech colleges would prefer working for a company that directly works in the core electronics field or at least assists other companies in achieving these core tasks. Broadcom, Wipro Lighting, Bajaj Electricals, Texas Instrument, Freescale Semiconductors, Alstom Corporate, Havells, Crompton Greaves, Neolex Cables, Schnider Electric, HBM Power Systems, Bharat Heavy Electricals, Exide Industries, Tata Electric are some popular companies that have excellent opportunities for core ECE engineer jobs. In addition, an individual will find decent opportunities in network communication companies like Siemens, BSNL, Sony Ericsson, Reliance and Nokia.
The job opportunities in these companies are excellent and their candidate intake is unbelievably low. In fact, students of Engineering Colleges in Jaipur might even experience situations where they do not find a single opening for core positions in these companies. At this point, they can either try for other options like research, government jobs, and startups or simply drop their CVs to smaller companies like Kuber Lightning, Mehta Engineering, Lanco Industries, Baliga Lighting and so on.
Non-core jobs for ECE students
Getting placement in the first core job as an ECE engineer can often get very difficult. This is exactly why students of top BTech colleges in Jaipur need to try for non-core jobs. While most of these jobs are in the software industry. That would not require the technical expertise, they have learnt throughout the last few years. They can always get these jobs if they have working knowledge of C/C+ languages and excellent communication skills.
Once they hone their software skills, students of top engineering colleges Jaipur can apply to the private companies like Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Accenture, HCL and the likes of it. In this, you can apply for the position of Assistant Software Engineer, Programmer, .Net Engineer, Quality Assurance Manager, Junior Software Engineer, Developer, and Business Analyst. Although these jobs do not fall in their core domain, they pay well and come with decent hikes. Additionally, if an individual manages to perform well in their jobs, there is also a good chance of getting on-site offers.
1. Government Jobs
