Diversity and representation in older books definitely isn't always a thing, so I'm always happy to share beautiful standbys that are more reflective of our communities. Cathryn Falwell's "Feast For 10" (1993), available in board book format, is a new discovery for me, but has been around for over 25 years. It's a simple, lovely counting book, with images of a happy family of colour grocery shopping and preparing a meal together, joyous, brightly illustrated, and great even for the youngest kids.
