Answering some Fanfiction Q's

So, I saw this post reblogged by @vorchagirl about a series of questions that was posted awhile back... instead of answering a handful, I'm just gonna answer about 20 of them. This'll be fun ^.^

The first fandom that I ever got involved with was Attack on Titan when it came to writing fanfiction - I enjoyed writing self-insert pieces with Levi Ackerman, Eren Jaeger, and Mikasa Ackerman.

2. My most recent/latest fandom would have to be Solo Leveling - I'm delving deeper and deeper into the artwork, memes, and what-not because I sincerely enjoyed binging it with my fiancé.

3. The best fandom that I've ever been involved with has been a tie between two - the people I surrounded myself with when I wrote Tokyo Ghoul fanfiction and the current community of Mass Effect writers that I speak with on a daily basis. Both are very chill and I really appreciate that.

4. I regret joining the initial community I was part of that involved half of the Attack on Titan community and another because it devolved into severe arguments and I just want to enjoy reading other stories, writing them, and speaking with other authors. Most of my first fandom community were awesome and sweet, there was just a few I was never close with and they stirred some shit up.

5. I've written for many fandoms in the past, but I don't remember all of them: (the last three are the most recent ^.^)

8. How did I get involved in my latest fandom? I mean, I think I was noticed further by the Mass Effect community thanks to @vorchagirl seeing my first ever post that was Reyder related and I had a massive internal freakout since I've always been a fan of her writing - then I was invited into the community and I've loved it since! ^.^

9. The best things in my current fandom is how chill and funny the individuals I've spoken/met and they've also been great help when I've struggled with my fics - every single one of them is awesome and I'm glad to be part of this community! Mass Effect forever!

10. So far, I've read quite a bit of fic for Fire Emblem: Three Houses and it's solely Fem!Byleth/Claude. I love so many of the characters, but Claude just keeps sneaking in and sweeping my Byleth off of her feet before I can accept the proposals from other characters lmao

11. My current OTP is a tie between my Fem!Shep/Kaidan Alenko and Fem!Ryder/Reyes Vidal - specifically, Bellatrix Shepard/Kaidan Alenko and Lorelei Ryder/Reyes Vidal.

12. I don't have a personal favorite OT3 pairing since I don't usually read that sort of stuff, but I've been pushing myself out of my comfort zone and have enjoyed @vorchagirl Saints & Liars series where it's Cerys Ryder/Reyes Vidal/Harry Carlyle. I HIGHLY recommend the series! ^.^

13. Honestly, I have one that comes to mind, but I know that others may like this NOTP - I'm not really a fan of Fem!Shep/Kai Leng. I can't bring myself to read any fics involving him since it legitimately crushed me that he's usually the one that kills Thane... as time has passed, I deeply love Kaidan and Thane's romance, but I get incredibly depressed whenever Thane is killed in my playthroughs.

14. My favorite BroTP is definitely Garrus and James - the shit-talk and banter between the two of them has always made me cackle and I'm like, even if you're playing as Male!Shep and have a bromance with Garrus, it'll just become a BroT3 with Male!Shep, Garrus, and James.

15. I don't think it's too much of an obscure ship, but I genuinely think there's sexual tension of some sort between Miranda and Jack - there would definitely be hate-sex and the fact that both women are dominant in their own right, as well as biotics? Sheesh.

However, I do love the connection between Anderson and Kahlee - you can definitely sense that something is or was there, but I was genuinely hoping for something to develop because Anderson deserves to be happy too!

16. There aren't really any popular ships that I don't like within the fandom because most of the pairings are involving Fem!Shep/Bro!Shep... so, not really.

17. My first OTP was technically my first playthrough - Ásdís Shepard/Garrus Vakarian, my Spacer War-Hero... where would she be without her Vakarian?

18. As of this moment, I've wrote the most for my ME: Andromeda pairing which is Lorelei Ryder and Reyes Vidal. We're creeping further into their story and I'm hoping to push through because I love this series that I've worked so hard on.

19. I really wish I could get behind the Garrus/Tali pairing, but I think a part of me still deeply loves Garrus' romance and how he'll always be with Ásdís... I like it, but I don't love the pairing.

20. I think I was a bit surprised by how much I came to love the pairing of Wrex/Bakara - I liked the pairing at the start, but with how they interact with each other and their relationship actually forms, I came to love it.

so yeah, that was twenty questions and although my brain is a little fried from thinking a little too hard, I'm gonna get to writing my Reyder installment and hopefully post it soon! :D

i'm going to be honest with you, i'm awful at back stories lmfao BUT i do find myself liking sefi's development over the course of the series. she starts off as this sweet, naive, trusting individual who believes in true love conquering all and things of that nature but then she's conscripted and thrust into this world filled with war and politics and she's at the front of it?? and people are expecting her to deal with it ??? it's all very overwhelming for her and she learns that there isn't a whole lot of good in the world but she can be the good she wants to see you know? she becomes more realistic in her views but that doesn't stop her from being kind and optimistic and idk i just think she's neat

oh god all of my ocs need hugs bc i'm incredibly mean to them but i'd say cery and cece are the top contenders

Ryder Vizsla: A Star Wars OC, a Mandalorian depicted as Paz Viszla’s angry, younger brother. Holds a vendetta against his father, Pre. Ill tempered, easily bothered, but kept in check by his older brother.

24 For Evfra/Ryder

I put some of this under the cut.  Also: I suck at ending things.  It was either that or it would turn into a 4-5k word monstrosity. Prompt was: "Don't be an asshole. Asshole."

           Cerise found herself roaming around Aya’s streets atnight since Evfra was studying a data pad about kett activity.  She’d slipped out with little trouble sincehe’d been absorbed in whatever he’d been reading.  The night air was cool and the strange bioluminescentplants provided a soft blue light as she walked along the side streets.

           “At least the sky here is beautiful.”  Cerise murmured as she looked up at thegorgeous midnight color stretched as far as she could see.  The marketplace was quiet as business hourswere done, but the bar was lively. Cerise had always wanted to visit but she didn’t want to press her luck,most vendors were still wary of anyone that wasn’t an angaran.  Music danced over the air to her and sherecognized the notes.  “What is Earthmusic doing playing here?”  Cerisemurmured curiously as her feet turned in the direction of it.  The music was a thumping rock bass that sangthrough her blood.  She’d always beenpartial to the harder rock genre and lovedthe guitar riffs.

           “Humans? Asari?”  The situation just keptgetting better and better as she spotted the building lit up in bright blue andwhite neon.  The atmosphere resembledmany of the nightclubs back on Earth and the Citadel.  A cheeky grin curled her lips as she rememberedsneaking into the clubs on the Citadel and getting hauled off by this turianC-sec officer.  He’d one told her thatwhile he admired the balls she had to speak like she did, she needed to learnto control her nasty temper.  She wishedshe could remember his name, suspected it started with a G?  Ahhell, who can remember.  I do rememberthat voice though.  Cerise strolledto the front and the angaran bouncer looked at her as she stopped in front ofhim.

           “Milky Way?”  Helooked down as the petit blond nodded. He jerked his hand towards the open door and watched as she slipped pasthim easily, disappearing into the crowd. A few minutes later he saw the leader of the Resistance rushing through thestreets.  He could tell that Evfra wasannoyed by the way his current snapped and crackled around him, he seemed to belooking for something or someone.  Thedoorman immediately thought kett or something similar and flagged himdown.  

           “Is there any danger in the vicinity Evfra?”  Evfra stared at the doorman and shook hishead.  He’d looked up from the data padand seen Cerise missing.  Panic had burstinside his chest like those fireworks the Initiative had set off inMeridian.  His legs had moved before hisgood sense could stop him.  Ruthlesslyleashing the bubbling anxiety back, he addressed the bouncer calmly.

           “No danger.  I’mlooking for someone.  A guest of theResistance, Moshae, and Pathfinder.”  Thedoorman immediately straightened as the names were casually dropped.  He asked about a description.  This guest must be extremely important.

           “Blonde, short, and silver eyes.  Human.” Evfra couldn’t remember what she’d been wearing but the other man lit upwith recognition.

           “Is this a female?” Evfra nodded.  “I think someone justlike that walked into the party.”  Hewaved towards the open doors.  Their eyesmet and the bouncer’s eyes filled with amusement.  There was no way Evfra could go in withoutcausing a commotion.  Most of the clubwas Milky Way species.  There were a fewangara but they were sparse enough that Evfra would stick out like a sorethumb.  Evfra knew it too, the electriccurrent around the Resistance leader snapped like a whip with the barely restrainedfury.

           “Thank you.”  Evfraknew he’d have to go in.  He certainlydidn’t want to go in, he knew he’ddraw unnecessary attention.  Blast it.  He strode through the door and was assaultedby the throbbing bass.  He felt itvibrating in his chest as the music washed over him like a tidal wave.  The sickly-sweet smell of alcohol beingpoured struck him like a blow as he scanned the area.  Several of the patrons looked up as heentered and began to titter behind their hands. He ignored them as his focus was on one individual, but it was sopacked.  He needed to get an aerial viewif he expected to find her, given how short she was.  Stairs off to his right side caught hisattention and he stalked towards them.

           “Hey, wanna dance?” The man slurred his words together and leaned heavily against Cerise.  She’d been at the bar, minding her ownbusiness, enjoying a sweet drink the bartender had whipped up.  The urge to push the guy away wasoverwhelming but he’d just tip over onto someone else.  Cerise nudged him with her shoulder to backoff.

           “Not interested there buddy.”  He grumbled a bit but kept pressing her.

           “Oh, come on.  Youdon’t have anyone with you.  If he’s nothere, he obviously doesn’t care about you eh?” He laughed at his own imagined wittiness and missed the flash of pain inCerise’s eyes.  The hurt was concealedwith pure rage as the guy clamped a hand down on her shoulder.

           “I said.  Back off.”  She bit off the rest of what she wanted tosay to avoid a fight.  

           “Stupid bitch. Like anyone would want to fuck such a frigid piece of work.”  He snarled and pushed against hershoulder.  Cerise grit her teeth tobattle the anger rising within her.

           “Don’t be an asshole. Asshole.  Not every woman wants todrop their panties when you lay on your charms.”  Sarcasm dripped from her tone as she knockedthe man’s hand away from her shoulder. Making a scene be damned, the man wasn’t going to set his sights onanother woman.  The bartender had alreadysignaled one of the security guys to come over when the drunk guy reeled backand popped Cerise in the jaw.  She hadn’tseen it coming, drunk people were highly unpredictable in fights, and she sawspots dancing on the edge of her vision as pain bloomed over her face.  If the bar hadn’t been behind her, shewould’ve landed flat on her ass since she had no time to brace for it.  She stumbled back, hitting the bar so hardthe glasses clanged together threateningly. She’d most likely have a bruise on her back from how hard she hit it,but man that guy had a vicious righthook.

           The chatter died around them as the crowd gave them awide berth.  Whispers and jeers werewhispered to each other as they watched the man curl his other hand around hisfist, face contorted in pain.  “What thefuck is your jaw made of?  Steel!?” The fury was stamped out with amusement at the shrill scream.  Cerise held onto the bar and grabbed hermidsection as her laughs doubled her over. She didn’t know why she found it so funny, but the offended look on theman’s face, as if it was her fault he’dlikely broken a knuckle, was just too much to keep the anger.  

           Evfra noticed the commotion by the bar and turned tolook.  He saw Cerise holding onto thebar, clutching her stomach with the other one. Panic rolled down his spine as he couldn’t tell if she was laughing orcrying.  The man next to her was cradlinghis fist against his chest.  Blue eyeslooked from one to the other and understanding dawned.  Fury churned in his stomach as he headed downto the bar, patrons scrambling to get out of the way as he made his way to thebar.  The bartender jerked to attentionas he saw Evfra.

           “Evfra.  I justcalled security for this gentleman.”  The bartender nodded his head towards the manwho was still nursing his hand and yelling at Cerise who was still ignoring himand laughing.  Evfra saw the bruiseforming on her jaw and red edged into his vision.  The electric field around him roiled, sharpas a dagger, as the fury filled him.

           “I shall deal with it.” The bartender nodded and watched as Evfra stepped over.  The man looked up and recognized theResistance leader.  He paled at the furysnapping in Evfra’s eyes.  Cerise turnedand saw Evfra with his arms crossed.  Herstomach dropped as she saw how angry he looked, and blew out an irritatedbreath.  I’m going to get a lecture…  Man,it’s not even my fault!  She couldtry to explain what happened but uncertainty shook her as she didn’t know ifEvfra would believe her version of events.

           “He wouldn’t take no for an answer.”  She shrugged and watched as Evfra stepped infront of her to address the other man. Completely ignoring her and that stung a bit.  The bartender handed her some ice in a softcloth for her jaw and she quietly thanked him.

           “You’re going home.” He told the man who looked like he wanted to protest.  “That is not a request.  You will be going home.  You’ve chosen to assault the humanPathfinder’s sister and the Moshae’s guest on Aya.”  The words were a low growl as he kept eyecontact with the young man.  He saw theblood drain out of his face as the implication hit him like a punch to the gut.

           “I-I’ll leave now.” He scurried away to the taunting whispers of the crowd.  Evfra turned to Cerise and she suddenly feltall of ten inches tall.  She knew she wasin trouble and a nervous breath trembled out from between her lips, thestinging in her jaw coming back now that the adrenaline was fading.  She gently placed the ice on it, keeping thewince off her face as best as she could.

           “We’re sorry to have disturbed you.  Come on, your brother is worried.”  Evfra told her as he grabbed her upperarm.  The protest died on her lips andshe followed along behind him without a peep. Cerise tripped a little trying to keep up with his furious pace.  She could walk quickly, but not while beingdragged.

           “Evfra, let me go. I can get to the Tempest on my own. Why didn’t Colin call me anyway?” Cerise grumbled as she tugged uselessly at his grip on her arm.  

           “We are not going to the Tempest.”  Brows furrowed in confusion as she realizedthey were going in the opposite direction of the docking area.  She opened her mouth to speak but the furiousglance he sent her way shut it quickly with an audible snap.  He was furious, so she’d just weather thestorm.  They reached his home easilyenough, though Cerise was almost out of breath from the pace he’d kept up.  

                       “Sit.”  Cerise sat in the chair and realized he wasstill angry.  Cerise kept the ice to herjaw as she waited for the lecture to blister her ears.  She’d certainly heard more than her fairshare in her lifetime.  She glanced downat the data pads on the table and winced at having interrupted his work.

           “Look, Evfra.  Iknow you’re busy.  I can just head to theTempest and see if Dr. T’Perro will give me some gel for the bruise.  It’s fine.” Cerise explained as he turned to face her.  She saw the anger there and didn’t backdown.  “It was some jerk who didn’t wantto take no for an answer.”  Cerisehurriedly explained.  She let him takethe ice bag from her fingers and wished she could see a mirror.  The area throbbed in time with her pulse, andshe already knew it was bruising.  Shittything about her complexion, everythingshowed up vividly.  

           “Here.”  Evfrahanded her some medi-gel.  He was a littlescared to try and put it on her face himself, he was too angry with that manfrom the bar.  The lavender bruise wouldlikely darken over the night, and he watched as Cerise gingerly applied the ointmentto help with the healing.  He wanted toask what had happened but he didn’t think he could keep calm if she told himabout it.  From the reactions of thecrowd, he pieced together the man had punched Cerise and she had not instigatednor retaliated.  He could wait to get thestory from her, he was just grateful she was okay.
