Cesca qualified P8! It's not her best start in Monaco given that she had to contend with a bit of traffic so she lost time in the middle sector on her final flying lap, but it gives her a solid shot at a points finish tomorrow and the team are gonna be working hard to try and maximise their result with strategy options. She's not expecting anything as good as her maiden podium here two years ago but she's historically done well racing in Monaco so she's hopeful to maybe make up a few places if everything goes to plan.

18. Their music taste?

Any and all things 90s/00s pop. She has shelves and shelves of old CDs in her apartment and a beast of a sound system that she uses to blast Spiceworld front-to-back while she lies on her living room floor when she gets home from particularly rough races. Had a load of posters on her wall for all sorts of things when she was a teen, but thought she was particularly funny for putting one of Britney Spears up next to her Nico Rosberg photos.

28. What are some of their guilty pleasures?

If you asked her, she’d say her guilty pleasure is smoking; her engineer sneaks her cigarettes and finds her somewhere discreet to lurk if he can tell she’s getting stressed out during a race weekend, and her friends at home always know to keep a pack around for her in case she decides to vent about whoever allegedly ruined her most recent race. Cesca’s actual guilty pleasure is causing trouble. She likes smoking because she’s not supposed to, she likes pushing her car a little further than she should because if she gets told off then that’s half the fun, and she likes showing up to a family dinner hosted by her religiously tifosa Ferrari engineer mother wearing little more than an Aston hoodie she stole and causing an argument that she personally enjoyed as just another way to blow off some steam that evening.

33. Do they have any piercings?

Cesca only has her ear lobes pierced at the moment, although she really wants more, especially body piercings. She’s unfortunately reasonable enough to know it wouldn’t be a great idea to drive with healing piercings though, so she hasn’t gotten any more yet. She was planning getting a few done at the end of 2023 so they’d have time to heal as much as possible over the winter, but she was injured in Vegas (see below) and knew it would be stupid to put her body through anything else while she was recovering from that. By the time she remembered after the end of last season it was already late January, so she’s had to put it off again another year. Her goals for 2025 are to be on at least one more podium and to get her navel pierced pretty much as soon as she’s out of the car in Abu Dhabi.

41. Have they ever broken a bone?

Cesca was setting pretty good times in Q2 for Las Vegas ‘23 when she locked up into turn 14 and hit the wall. the crash itself didn’t look too bad, but Cesca’s seatbelt had been irritating her during the session and, as it turned out, hadn’t been positioned correctly; when the wall brought her to an abrupt stop a lot of that force went across her left collarbone, fracturing it in a handful of places and stopping her from racing in Vegas and Abu Dhabi.

sorry for not cescaposting properly recently; I’m trying to write a little canon event for her that should happen soon but that’s a bit slow going. in other news I downloaded genshin on my xbox the other day and have been getting back into it. I’ve been putting some of my ocs/dnd characters through this genshin character maker while the natlan archon quest dialogue auto-plays so here’s that 😊

ohemgee.... people want to know about my OC. okay I'm chill and normal. I haven't posted anything about her yet, partially because I literally made her up two weeks ago but I can give you a summary if you really give a gaf.

her full name is Francesca Lloyd. she's welsh/italian and currently drives for Alpine; she started out in the mercedes driver academy but that kind of went to shit and, long story short, she is very vocal about Toto Wolff being sinister and incompetent because nothing will traumatise you like being a 19 year old girl and being made to feel like you aren't good enough to do the one thing you've dedicated your whole life to. she was initially skeptical of Antonelli as Toto's "project" but they get on well and she's vowed to burn Brackley to the ground if anything bad happens to him (although she's probably just looking for an excuse to do it at this point). her and Russell don't interact often but when they do they give mutual pissed-off sibling vibes.

2025 is her third season in f1 and she has a handful of podiums to her name as well as one win because I can and will appropriate Brazil '24 for my own narrative. her driving style is fairly balanced and she does well in the wet but has a bad habit of psyching herself out on tracks that feel claustrophobic--either by having narrow track limits or by being immediately walled off.

she's deeply superstitious about the number 14 and will get increasingly skittish if she finishes any session in 14th. she keeps very detailed journals and will blow up at anyone that even gets near them.

her and Doohan are a fun team pairing--they might be a relatively inexperienced team in f1 but Cesca had an extensive and strong run in lower formulas before joining the grid so she can hold her own as the more experienced of the two of them. they give off a much more pleasant sibling-esque vibe than her and George do, at the risk of seeming like a pair of unserious but loveable idiots.

the closest people to her on the grid--although she's hesitant to call anyone a friend--are Hulkenberg and Tsunoda. she wasn't expected to join the grid with Alpine, of all teams, so when she did she felt very out of her depth and Nico and Yuki were both very grounding, sensible presences that gave her a good excuse to stop hiding in her driver's room and go have a normal conversation with someone that the cameras weren't focused on 24/7.

3. Any siblings/Only child?

Two! Cesca has half-brothers from her mother’s first marriage. They’re are 9 and 7 years older than her so they didn’t have a typical sibling relationship with her growing up, but the whole family is very close now that they’ve grown up. The eldest, Alessandro is her trainer and physio, although she’s oddly much closer with Gaspare, even though he has very little interest in motorsport; they both live in Milan and she spends a lot of time with him and his family when she’s home. Gas also makes and effort to come to a few races a year just to show his support, even if he barely understands what’s going on and she’s alway ecstatic to have him there.

8 - What clothing style?

She’s got two modes - whimsical fairy (long layered skirts, lots of mixed jewellery, old graphic tees over turtlenecks in the winter or flowy ethereal tops in the summer), which is usually how she dresses in her downtime or when she’s arriving at a track on media day or, the version of her more commonly seen by her fans; fuckboy gymbro uniform (over-ear headphones around her neck, baggy sweats, and either a compression tee or team kit in the tiniest, tightest size she can find). will occasionally dress up fancy for events but always feels kinda weird about it.

26 - Are they an emotional person?

Cesca has a very high threshold for what will make her emotional, but beyond that point she is immediately a little crybaby. Most things genuinely don’t get her worked up at all so i think she’d have a reputation for being a bit callous or stoic, but once she gets overwhelmed—whether by something good or bad—she’ll be in tears pretty quickly. Sometimes she wishes she was more emotional overall because she worries she’s simultaneously too cold to connect with people and too melodramatic to be taken seriously.

32 - Do they have any tattoos?

Cesca got a four-pointed star done in the middle of her shoulders as soon as she turned 18. It's not a bad tattoo by any means but it's literally just plain lines. Her more interesting tattoo is one she got a few years later when she signed for F2 and wanted to do something to celebrate. It's heavily inspired by Cheon Moon's style which I just love so much. The purple flowers on it are alpine asters; it's a total coincidence that she'd end up driving for Alpine as at the time she got the tattoo Cesca was part of the Williams driver academy. I'm trying to find as many excuses as I can to practice drawing so here's a little reference sketch

42 - What are they like when they’re drunk/what kind of drunk are they?

Cesca is a messy drunk, although she knows this about herself and will rarely ever go out and celebrate after a race, instead waiting until she’s back home where her friends can at least try and keep her in check. Unfortunately, her penchant for getting in trouble means there’s only so much damage limitation they can do, and they all go into a night out with the expectation she’ll end up in a blurry tabloid photo the day after, but again that’s part of her fun. After she got her first podium in Monaco she woke up the next morning in a hotel room over-looking the streets she had recently raced, which wasn’t worrying until she remembered she’d travelled back to Milan that afternoon and genuinely couldn’t remember how she’d ended up nearly 250km south-west again.

also been meaning to ask about her some of the usual questions... like how does cesca do with fan interactions, does she like/enjoy the media stuff (socials and like interviews alike), does she think shes popular... who would she get along with. does she have a favourite color 😋🫶

Cesca doesn't think she's popular, and she's probably right. She has fans, a few of which are very dedicated and she's very flattered by that, but on the whole she's a bit of an introvert and quite likes when attention isn't on her. She's very happy to do planned media stuff though; she has a very charming persona that she can slip into when needed so she's fun to watch in grill the grid or alpine's tiktoks. Her personal socials are pretty quiet but she's always taking landscape and street photography while she's travelling and she occasionally remembers to post the pictures to insta.

As a result fan interactions are a bit of a mixed bag. She's never rude, but sometimes she just isn't expecting the attention and her normal, blunt attitude can come through. It's definitely something she's trying to work on though; she's so amazed that she has any dedicated fans and wants to recognise that.

Cesca gets along well with most of her fellow drivers. I think I mentioned before that Yuki and Nico are the people on the grid she would actually call friends, and I know she's sort of in his seat but I feel like her and Pierre would get along very well. I've also mentioned that Fernando is one of her idols and she will defend his honour to her dying breath; if she's ever in a press conference and someone asks Fernando about retiring she really has to focus on not looking offended about it. I think the only exception to the rule is that she half-jokingly dislikes Charles because her mum works at Ferrari and has been a big Charles supporter since he joined the team and sometimes she wishes Bianca could stop worrying about the fact that Charles got disqualified and maybe celebrate the fact that her daughter scored points.

I think if you asked Cesca her favourite colour she would spend way too long over thinking it because she likes a lot of colours for a lot of reasons, but if you want objective fact her favourite colour is super dark blue. It's the base colour of her helmet (I'll draw the design nicely someday) and she's absolutely a night owl and finds the deep colour of the night sky calming and affirming.
