Monster (S)mash || chainsawsandstaples
Alcina Dimitrescu was not only the CEO of Dimitrescu Vineyards and heiress to the Dimitrescu family business, but also a mother— in more ways than one.
For quite some time she had an infatuation with her personal secretary, Ethan Winters, but alas, he was married and later was expecting a child. She may have loved to play dirty when it came to business decisions (usually regarding purposely messing with their competitors), but she refused to become a homewrecker by seducing her coworker and had kept her desires to herself.
However, the universe decided to do her a favor one fateful day and proceeded to tip the scales in her favor...by Mia Winters dying of blood loss in childbirth.
It was tragic. It really was. And she had grown close platonically with Ethan, offering her assistance with just about anything— and when he called in the middle of the night that the baby was here and his wife hadn't survived, and he had no one else to call for emotional support, she pulled on a new set of clothes and was there in minutes.
Since then, she had become the mother of Rosemary Winters in every way except biological. She came along to work, either one of her two 'parents' holding her close while they did paperwork or talked on a conference call. She had even made the ultimate sacrifice by getting on medications the induced lactation so Rosie was able to nurse and get all the antibodies and nourishment she was unable to receive from her birth mother. Alcina was a mother to three adoptive children already, so she knew how to care for the infant already and was an amazing help to the newly-widowed father.
————————————————
Not much time had passed since then— Rosie was almost a year old, and her parents had grown even closer, both platonically and perhaps even romantically.
The Dimitrescu matriarch was always known for her love of holidays especially Halloween, and was especially-especially known for her extravagant Halloween parties every year. Her clients and coworkers were never invited, but it wasn't a work affair in the slightest: it was attended by Alcina's fellow elites, with the event focusing on the lavish indulgence in the holiday, focusing on luxuriating in sweets and all-around 'junk food', the art of costume and costume design, as well as the overall sense of one's preexisting elegant lifestyle mixing with the quasi-childish indulgence and atmosphere of fun and enjoyment.
However, this year, she was adding a new guest to the list. She held the envelope in her hand behind her desk— even the envelope enclosing the invite was made of heavy, thick paper that definitely came at a cost (needless to say, the Lady spared no expense on the entire affair).
She awaited Ethan's return from the copy room in order to finally present it: the catalyst for hopefully an amazing future together. Had she planned on chatting him up at the party, admitting her love, and possibly getting in his pants at the same time? Yes. Was she, the stern businesswoman, scared out of her mind? Also yes.

Sniffles
send me  ‘ sniffles ‘  for one muse to help the other deal with spring allergies
“Oh, you poor thing” cooed the countess, handing the smaller man a tissue. Spring had come to Romania, and the other had learned the hard way that he was allergic to the wild orchids that were scattered throughout the meadows within the region. She was immune to such simple physiological issues, but unfortunately, her human partner was not.
“What else can I do to help you, dear?” She asked, voice a mere whimper. She may have been a tyrant (both literally and figuratively), but she often felt so small and helpless when she didn’t know how to help Ethan.
