I got a Pretty Hate Machine vinyl and there are some hidden lyrics I found in my copy!

so does anyone else think that the black and white smiling/frowning face could be a representation of bipolar depression with the equal parts depression and mania and that the new album might be a thematic continuation of MANIA, maybe this time exploring the depressive moods that Pete deals with instead of the mania. or do we think it’s cause Pete’s a gemini.

the thing is. THE THING IS. This isn’t Gerard making a political statement like Harry styles or something. This isn’t Gerard wearing a costume or donning a persona (well, it is in the sense that they’re wearing a “stage costume”, but they’re not pretending to be somebody else, like they were for, say, party poison). This is just Gerard being himself and expressing himself and his identity. This isn’t supposed to be some grand gesture, it’s just Gerard wearing what he wants to. and the great thing is that the guys are so supportive of Gerard! They know how much this means to them
