Alec + Chloe for OC ask. Popularity Poll Loser Rebound, you know how crack ships get born

Absolutely losing it at this one still.

They're a tough pair to try and figure out together! I don't actually think they're very compatible, but I can get cooking.

So why might Chloe show any interest in Alec? Alec both knows what it feels like to have died, and also has access to any knowledge of Mephisto's. His greed instinct would start to kick in and draw him to Alec for that knowledge. Plus, Alec is cute. Chloe's not immune to that.

How might Alec have interest in Chloe? Well Chloe definitely scares him. The fact that he's a vampire does absolutely nothing for him. But catching Chloe in a rare vulnerable moment, seeing him alone surrounded by birds. Or seeing his focus while he designs an outfit. Alec can't help but be drawn to someone's soft moments like that.

Mephisto would be an obstacle of course. Chloe would want to probe him for knowledge, Meph would trust Chloe nowhere near Alec. The two would definitely butt heads.

In the end, I don't think it would be a very healthy relationship. Chloe's vampiric obsessions would probably be the core of it, leading to Mephisto being separated far earlier than he normally would be, but leaving Alec alone with Chloe.

Final Verdict: TOXIC

Also can you believe I actually somehow don't have any scenes of Chloe and Alec interacting? Closest is one of Chloe and Meph in the same scene, but the focus of that one is Meph and Aurora.

WE'RE LUCKY I ACTUALLY HAVE AN ITTY BITTY CHLOE PLAYLIST.

So half of this playlist so far is instrumental because some of it is vibes from when he was an NPC in a DnD game. This track specifically has an ominous, mysterious vibe to it that fits for the wizard. At least when you aren't aware of how scary he can be.

Chloe, the gay vampire tiefling who turns his most despised enemies into birds to keep them in cages. ��I can excuse turning children into werewolves but I draw the line at keeping them in cages.”

Midas, an artist seeking perfection whose favorite way to create sculptures is to turn people into sculptures medusa-style. Once created life from the remains of several of these sculptures.

Isaac, a man who blinded himself trying to extend his senses and uses the exact same spell that blinded him to perceive the world. Doesn’t believe in personal space or privacy and wants to become all-knowing.

... at least they’re not all transmutation wizards. Only 2/3.

Chloe’s got such a funny design to me because it’s changed so drastically since I first made him. He used to be a totally normal generic pink tiefling, maybe with a unique horn shape. He was chaotic good.

Now he’s got so many feathers and bird claws for hands and feet and more feathers where his horns were supposed to be and WINGS. He’s neutral evil. He’s a vampire on top of all that.

the funniest part about the beginnings of what might become Chloe's playlist is like. Both the songs I have so far have to do with Tristian. He doesn't even like Tristian and yet.

looking forward to Chloe’s fucked up menagerie of birds that are just baleful polymorphed antagonists that he hates enough to make them suffer through the one thing he finds most despicable.

Harper did something funny the other day because of that dating sim ask game going around so time to be funny about the Hypothetical Dating Sim that I've been writing on since the last time it went around. The route hooks (no spoilers) are under a cut.

The plot is set in the Jadena University Temple, the biggest school for magic in the continent. You are there for the next week in preparation to give a guest lecture as a traveling adventurer. While there, you meet and interact with a diverse group, both students, adventurers, or others.

Godfrey - An older professor of biology at the university, though not one that your lecture is for. You are invited to sit in on one of his classes to get a feel for the university's lectures, and you can learn more than just about a professor's life at the university from him.

Alec - An older student whose personality seems to shift by the day. He's well-versed when it comes to lore on Devils despite his refusal to elaborate why or how. No one has ever seen him in the vicinity of a mirror, and maybe you can find out just what secrets he's hiding.

Chloe - Vampires are rare in the world, yet here is one playing the role of a student. He just as often debates with the professors, revealing that he knows far more about magic than anyone but the Archmage himself does. Beware becoming close to his heart, for he may decide he will never let you go if you do.

Reid - A fellow adventurer in the city for a lecture, one you've only heard about in passing. He's loud, he's energetic, and he's endlessly friendly. In fact, every time you look you find him starting a conversation with some other friend of his in the city. You can just as easily become one of his friends, but maybe you can also become something more?

Orion - An aloof figure that you never track down yourself, they always manage to seek you out instead. Their heart is like ice and they view themselves so far above you. Perhaps you can melt that ice, or perhaps you can acclimate to it.

Celeste - Another adventurer in the city to give a lecture, claiming to be the one and only student of the great Archmage. Through almost no effort at all, she is perfection. This is to great frustration from her companion, however. Earning her affection must be a great task, but can you see the effort she secretly puts in as well?

Mab - Stories say that the fey disappeared from the world centuries ago, all save for the brave gnomes who dared to live in a world filled with dragons. If you were to ask this wintry fey about it though, she would have no idea what you're talking about. Her otherworldly beautiful may be more literal than expected.

once I've moved past my current plan for the week I should definitely draw a visual for that still-unnamed dating sim joke project. Since it's not a joke anymore. But until then I should probably write down a little blurb about each character in it.

Godfrey Ainsworth. The renowned professor of biology and the effects of the divine upon it, a priest of the goddess of knowledge and the moon and an accomplished mage. An elder naga(1) philim(2) who rarely sets aside time for things other than his research or teaching, because he's too engrossed in it.

Alec Faustus. A young philim priest of the goddess of life and agriculture, seemingly far from home at the Jadena(3) magic university. Alternating personalities and a pair of mismatched eyes, haunted by some recent past he chooses not to speak on.

Reid Thomel. A human mercenary and blacksmith from the Adventurer's Guild branch in Smaragden(4) and your traveling companion to the city. Still much of a stranger to you, but a very friendly and well-connected one.

Orion. A mysterious aleph(5) from the far north who claims to be a deity on earth. They are powerful, yes, but not enough to be a god. After all, they are more than just their hands. Their white hands blessed by the goddess of winter and death. Emotionless and uninterested in others, it's up to you to make yourself worth having interest in.

Chloe Sialia. A powerful philim vampire(6) mage sating some craving for knowledge at the university despite having the knowledge to be an instructor instead. His age and power is far from the usual of his kind, seeming even more inhuman than he already is, but that humanity in him is not completely buried just yet.

Celeste Parrya. A rabbitfolk philim mage who claims to be taught by one of the god candidates themselves. She excels at time magic and would be an exemplary healer, and yet she does not pursue that path. She is simply aimless in her goals, accompanied by a man who is her entire opposite.

Mab. An Eldest of the First World of Golarion, a Queen of.... hey wait a minute that's the wrong setting! The fey queen of ice has been isekai'd, and well, she's completely unfamiliar with the world and especially its dragons. I'm sure with time she'll find a way back. Better question is how would she react to meeting the alternate universe versions of her children..?

Setting Glossary/Footnotes under cut:

(1) Naga - a person with the lower body of a serpent. An offshoot of Philim that became their own race. Name not final.

(2) Philim - a person born with the influence of a Devil. There are few overlapping traits between philim, but if enough are born from a specific devil's influence they can become a standalone offshoot.

(3) Jadena - the holy city of the goddess of knowledge and the moon and home to the largest university on the continent. It is home to many powerful mages and priests, sometimes both at the same time, and is the largest source of enchanted items.

(4) Smaragden - a city in the mountains known for its endless rainy season, theorized to be caused by a dragon. Many adventurers flock here in hopes of seeing the dragon, and to meet the three god candidates that live here.

(5) Aleph - DID YOU THINK I WAS GOING TO MAKE ELVES NORMAL? NO. Aleph are the longer lived of the pointed-ear folk. Their ears have a notable S curve and their hair and eyes shift with their emotions.

(6) Vampire - a philim offshoot that is the exception to the rule. Vampires are created either at the time of a mortal's death when the Devil of Undeath exerts his influence, or when another vampire kills a mortal with the intent to turn them. They are each defined by one of the seven deadly sins, which can be directed but the influence of that sin on each vampire cannot be ignored.

I'm not elaborating on rabbitfolk. You get it.
