Imagine being a jaded PI who after a bad breakup is skeptical & critical about love but you're still so in love with your friend of the last 4yrs (your friend who gave you a reason to be happy and a reason to live and who supported you when you were at your lowest trying to drink away all your problems) that an evil matchmaking corporation that creates your freakishly perfect match deems you "ineligible" because even a person who would share all your favourite things, who could comfort you with even a touch, who was exactly your type both in personality & appearance wouldn't have stopped you from being in love with your friend. Only for you to not only never pursue your friend but to also happily support them finding a partner while pining from a distance because the last time you fell in love you got hurt, and because they deserve the happiness of experiencing love even if you tell yourself you no longer need it or believe in it

Ranking the MCs by who pulled the most bitches

(I will only be doing those with 5/+ LIs otherwise this thing would've gotten way too long. Feel free to correct me if I missed someone, which I probably have considering I haven't read all these books and took some stuff from wiki. I will also be taking ILW as canon for this list)

Pulled five bitches with the power of having a fine booty and good personality, you either want them or want to be them

4) PM/AtV/RCD/TF/ILW

Have 5 people ready to drop down on one knee but that didn't stop them from keeping a few side hoes. Had Nathan been an actual LI, TF!MC would've been higher.

3) TCATF

Queen Kenna Rys of Stormholt, I am so sorry for not putting you on the top of this list. Unfortunately, she was more busy cutting bitches than pulling them. Yet, without even trying, she still managed to get 6 (6!!!) super fine LIs who will and have proven that they'd die and kill for her. Plus half the fandom simps for her (as they should!). She's third on the list but first in our hearts<33

2) AME/BOLAS

Not only do they have 6 (6!!!) super sexy people at their beck and call but also have the power of seduction in spades which they are not afraid to use. They've proven that they can pull any bitch they desire. Good thing they're morally good (or not as evil as they could've been AME!MC's case) otherwise they could've caused wars over their sex appeal

1) ILITW

Even without taking ILW as canon, ILITW!MC would still be on this list. But taking it as canon? God does this MC pull bitches. They have 7 LIs, having pulled almost every single person in their friend group, excluding their lesbian bestie. They're all so in love with them (as they should be!! They're the MC of all-time) that even if they became an eldritch horror-esqe shadow monster, their LIs would still fuck them (as they should!!)

The only gender/race customizable love interest story I’ll excuse is Perfect Match because Hayden Young is literally an android and the use of the different genders and races of Hayden actually makes sense and is incorporated in the main story in a realistic and interesting way.

All the others, there’s really no reason to have the love interests gender/race customizable. It just makes them feel more like interchangeable parts than actual characters. Plus, they’re almost always white-coded and male-coded, and that really rears its head in the stupidest ways (See Also: F!Sam Dalton repeatedly being called “dad” by the twins).

SWAW Day 3: Character Appreciation

Sloane Washington style swap with Shannon Fox in Wake the Dead

Sloane would totally have gotten along with Shannon and probably help find a cure for zombieism. I hc she created Hayden, not as a matchmaking android but as a way to help gather materials and survive the outbreak. (Also she was lonely and wanted a friend). It was just fate when they stumbled across MC, Damien, Nadia and Steve. I feel like the PM friend group would have survived the outbreak and still found some humor in it all.

I just appreciate how smart and resourceful Sloane is. No matter how bad it gets, she thrives to overcome it all. And as a woc in the STEM field, she more than likely ran into some hurdles and still she persevered.
