Civ 6 Tickle Headcanons Pt. 65: Teddy Roosevelt (Rough Rider)
Tumblr media
Teddy Roosevelt (Rough Rider): Ler
A more aggressive version of previous Teddy. Rough Rider Teddy, similar to Bull Moose Teddy enjoys having dedicated special places for tickling their Lee, but while BM Teddy makes them comfy and whimsical, RR Teddy makes them more straightforward and even a little intimidating at first. RR Teddy usually get combat boosts while on his home continent, and likes peaceful Civs with cities on his home continent. So in this case, he does his best tickling when his Lees are in his personal "Lee restricting" setup. Once they have gone for a go in his setup though, he considers this a sort of rite of passage for them, and encourages them to be proud of themselves.

Civ 6 Tickle Headcanons Pt. 49: Poundmaker
Tumblr media
Poundmaker: Switch
Speaking of friendgroups in the last entry, Poundmaker is usually one to try and make as many alliances as possible. While both he and Phillip both agree that tickling is better when done within a trusting friend group, Phillip has come to believe one must be extremely selective about said friend group, and will offer few chances at redemption if you slip up. Poundmaker on the other hand, thinks the act of choosing to bring yourself into the friend group is the most important thing, as it signifies you should have a willingness to see to the needs of your friends, and trust that they will do the same for you. Accordingly Poundmaker tries to be a people pleaser. They can be the Lee or the Ler, they don't mind, so long as we all have fun.

Civ 6 Tickle Headcanons Pt. 44: Pachacuti
Tumblr media
Pachacuti: Ler
Pachacuti, being an Incan, has the special ability to work mountain tiles, and get production (and later food) from them. As I see it, while tile features like forests are cuddly piles of fluff that are good for a relaxing tickle session, Pachacuti isn't shying away from going out into the world to find new and special locations for tickle sessions with their chosen Lee. Out of all Lers, he's the best at making the most out of the location, wherever he might be, like the park, in a car, or maybe even at the theater.

Civ 6 Tickle Headcanons Pt. 38: Matthias Corvinus
Tumblr media
A good friend to the shy Lees of the world (city states). They normally like to build positive relationships with city states by paying to levy troops from them, but in this case, he forges friendships with all the little Lees to have big tickle get-togethers in his castle. Sometimes he'll play the tickle monster, similar to Frederick, while other times he may encourage the Lees to try to work together and overpower him. Seeing their smiles regardless fills Matthias with such joy. Basically another Varangian Harald, but while he was like a well-intentioned tough love with his Lees, Matthias is just plain ol' love.

Civ 6 Tickle Headcanons Pt. 20: Gitarja
Tumblr media
Gitarja: Switch leaning Ler
Usually gets faith bonuses related to being next to the coast, and the ability to buy naval units with faith. Very water focused, and I'd imagine their favorite scenario is tickling their Lee on a sandy beach. While they can be very kind to their Lees, and may even let them fight back a little, they can also be expected to use all their navel (I mean naval) tools to good use.

Civ 6 Tickle Headcanons Pt. 75: Yongle
Tumblr media
Yongle: Ler
We're finally here. Last, though most certainly not least; Yongle.
Yongle is a Civ who likes those with a high gold income, and benefits from having cities with lots of people, which can then complete projects for food, faith, or gold. As Yongle already seems to be presented as a leader interested in the well-being of his people, as a Ler he is intrested in the care of his Lees. He often takes several at once, so they can all feel safer, or perhaps sillier together, and he spares no expense for them or for him when it comes to having fun, the more the merrier with Yongle. He's probably good friends with Pedro, as they both love dreaming up huge tickle sessions with all their friends.

Civ 6 Tickle Headcanons Pt. 74: Wu Zetian
Tumblr media
Wu Zetian: Switch
Her playstyle normally involves having earlier access to spies, and those spies being more beneficial to use offensively. She also seems like she enjoys being the dominant one in all circumstances, given her in-game dialogue. She likes to play an all-powerful Ler, trying to play mind games and get into her Lee's heads, a near equivalent of using spies. That being said, given her tendency to pry into the business of others, it's also not unheard of for Wu to be made into a Lee, to which she is quite openly a brat about it, taunting her Lers as if just asking them to go even harder.

Civ 6 Tickle Headcanons Pt. 73: Wilhelmina
Tumblr media
Wilhelmina: Lee
Fun fact; Queen Wilhelmina is the most recent of all Civ 6 leaders, having died in 1962. Sadly, she's also comparable to Montezuma in terms of how enjoyable they are to play against (not). She usually likes those who send trade route to her, and dislikes those who don't. Even if its physically impossible for you to trade with her based on the map, she'll still throw a fit that you refuse to trade with her. With that said, taking inspiration from Cleopatra's beneficial trade deals, I'd like to imagine that Wilhelmina is similar to her, in that she's a Lee who sells herself to Lers, but she's a lot more concerned about her body image, and feels particularly rejected by those who don't want to tickle her. If someone were to come up and ask her if they could tickle her, (the equivalent of sending a trade route), she'd act like it was all she ever wanted; being actively desired by others, despite all the flaws she has convinced herself of having.

Civ 6 Tickle Headcanons Pt. 72: Wilfrid Laurier
Tumblr media
Wilfrid Laurier: Cuddler leaning Ler
Wilfrid normally gets bonuses from tundra and snow tiles being more productive, and I kinda see it in a similar way to tile features. Wilfrid is the kinda person to set up big cuddle pits for Lees to escape to as they flee from their pursuing Lers. They normally like to participate in emergencies, and this translates to them being one to intervene in Lee vs Ler shenanigans, on occasion helping turn the tides by teaming up with the Lee to tickle the Ler, and then they all chill and cuddle in his cuddle pit. He's one of those Civs thats hard to hate.

Civ 6 Tickle Headcanons Pt. 71: Victoria (Age of Steam)
Tumblr media
Victoria (Age of Steam): Ler
A continuation from AOE Victoria, AOS Victoria fits the role of someone who uses their high production capacities to fashion all sorts of wacky tickle inventions. Moving beyond being just the partner-in-crime little sister esque Ler, she enjoys the feeling of being taken more seriously as her own Ler through the use of her mechanized tickle machines. That being said, they are not always the most effective in the most straightforward sense, but the fact of their haphazard construction means that whoever finds themselves at the receiving end is completely off guard for whatever they're set up to receive. Given how good her inventions are at overwhelming her Lees, Victoria is one to believe that all the other Lers should adopt the use of her inventions in the name of PROGRESS, though the others are still a little hesitant, perhaps waiting for her to build something that isn't help together by ducktape.

Civ 6 Tickle Headcanons Pt. 70: Victoria (Age of Empire)
Tumblr media
Victoria (Age of Empire): Switch leaning Ler
Victoria is a little bit of brat, or at least the kind of person to always ask others to share, (as she normally dosen't like Civs who have cities on a continent where she does not). If someone else is wrecking a Lee that she's never gotten to wreck before, she'll eagerly ask to join in, hoping to have a little slice of everyone. Sometimes this can be fun, as she plays the partner in crime for other more friendly Lers, but other times it can be tiresome, like if she's pestering a more ruthless Ler who wants to focus on their Lee. Naturally she has on occasion found herself winding up the Lee, but she honestly doesn't really mind being tickled herself, as much as the fact of perceiving another Civ to be "mean" for reacting this way, when all she wanted was for them to let her have the Lee's tootsies.

Civ 6 Tickle Headcanons Pt. 69: Trajan
Tumblr media
Trajan: Switch
Despite the cacophony that must be a house with all these Civ leaders tickling each other, Trajan manages it as the closet thing to a group head that they have. They normally have the desire to be the upmost in all that they do, but that didn't last very long. Trajan is the one who normally opposed the assertions of Elizabeth, and for a while the two of them squabbled over who really held more authority.
After a while, Trajan realized that they would be asking themselves too much to manage so many different people on a daily basis. Eventually they decide to move towards a more relaxed lifestyle, sharing power with others like Elizabeth. With this freedom they tried out some new things, such as being a Lee for the first time. Trajan normally desires to control as much territory as possible, which to me speaks to their desire for limitless possibilities, which ironically only became truly possible after they gave up their pursuit of power over the others. Now, Trajan can be a Lee or Ler, and he's just as excited to experience it either way.

Civ 6 Tickle Headcanons Pt. 68: Tomyris
Tumblr media
Tomyris: Switch leaning Ler
Tomyris is a sleeping tickle monster that is best not woken up. She's actually fairly ticklish herself, and can be a bit pushy against those who don't make explicit promises with her about what their intentions are (just as she normally likes Civs who declare themselves her friend, and hates Civs who betray their friends). If you ask her really nicely, she might let you tickle her, but she generally prefers to be the Ler, and most actually enjoy things that way. Normally she gets combat boosts against wounded units, and this kind of boost also applies to her tickling prowess. Normally she benefits from attacking many units at once to wound them all, thus reducing their strength quickly, and as a Ler she employs a similar style of rapidly changing tickle spots, leaving her Lee spinning with laughter in a desperate attempt to protect themselves.

Civ 6 Tickle Headcanons Pt. 67: Tokugawa
Tumblr media
Tokugawa: Lee
Tokugawa is basically the exact opposite of Theodora, and is incredibly skittish at the idea of tickling. He's super anxious of threatening Civs, and prefers to stay as quiet and inward focused as possible. He's basically that meme of the introverted wojak just standing in the corner of the party. We all know that he's very much still appreciated for being here though, and while he may not be the most open yet, he's best friends with Hojo Tokimune, and the two tend to look out for each other. Tokugawa understands Hojo's desires as a Ler, and Hojo sees that Tokugawa is always feeling protected. So far Hojo is the only Ler that Tokugawa feels safe with, and thats perfectly fine. They're just being good friends.
