“When talking about serious things like sexuality, or insecurities, or mental health, it's important that you have a light at the end of the song [or] tunnel. It's really important because there are so many sad songs that have no hope in sight and I just wanted to give the world songs that went there emotionally but came back more glass-half-full than empty. You can't listen to this album and not understand that there's an end to all things bad.”
