#i know some tellings of her story have her being sacrificed willingly or artemis saving her at the last second#but the telling where she thinks she's being led to the altar the entire time and is completely unaware makes me want to tear my hair out#SHE WAS JUST A GIRL#no wonder i latched onto shireen barathaeon from game of thrones apparently her whole thing was inspired by iphigenia#and ive been OBSESSED with this myth ever since i read that 'iphigenia vengeful' tumblr poem before i even HAD tumblr#oh the specific ache mythological women insight in me....#clytemnestra slayed tho#for what she did to agamemnon NOT what she did to cassandra girlie im never forgiving u for that
