he's actually NEW!!!! (kinda) kalevi is basically 2 things:

the product of me brainstorming up new ocs and trying to figure out who i like as a potential oc love interest for buffy in stories like love lost or nobody's daughter when there's a good chance spu.ffy isn't an option or my other top picks like faith aren't the most viable (ex brooke dates faith in s3 but it goes Bad and buffy then dating her sister's ex girlfriend feels like a bad vibe you know?) actually forget all of how i got to him but i got to him

me realizing that as i brainstormed a new oc to add to the "in case of more cast needed, break glass" oc stockpile i'd actually kinda just remade an older oc of mine who is the original kalevi but like... i'd just changed his whole background and made him a vampire lol.

His first appearance on this blog is on this reblog chain. not too long after it i realized i'd made Kalevi But Different and while thinking about him and really enjoying the character I knew I needed to name him so I just decided to take the plunge and merge the two iterations and officially make him kalevi!

everything about him should be in the kalevi huatala tag (or will be soon dfgdfgd). but he's basically the vampire brother of a former slayer who has a very eric draven/the crow "back from the dead to get revenge on those who are responsible for our gruesome deaths" kinda vibes. he's very handsome and charismatic in that "he's not moody he's clinically depressed with an addiction issue" kinda way.

he's dedicated his unlife to revenge against the watcher's council who he feels is responsible for his sister's suicide (he is not completely off the mark there considering how slayers got made) and to helping and supporting the current slayer when he's not you know, out of his mind with grief. he's like if angel and oz were put in a blender with vil.le va.lo, eric draven from the crow and trent from daria.

as another fun fact, kat and saoirse are also daria and jane coded (that was unintentional but i lean into it now lol)

also i'd reccomend looking at the rauha hautala tag, that's his sister who was the slayer before buffy.

Originally born in Helsinki, Finland, Kalevi Hautala is known across the world for his popular rock band Death In Love. He was raised in a mildly dysfunctional family with his older sister Jaana and younger brother Tino in what was a fairly normal life until Jaana died in a car accident when he was 12. The Hautala family swiftly fell into complete dysfunction before falling apart completely. Kalevi increasingly spent as much time away from the house as possible and poured his energies into his music. By the time he was 20 he had a band, enough songs for two albums and the start of a drinking problem.

His 20s were marked with increasing fame, a growing body of work and increasing issues with his mental health and addictions. By 2011 the band was in shambles and Kalevi was in rehab for the final but not the first time. Lost and out of rehab with nothing to go back to Kalevi found himself wandering through Port Le.iry, just as an event was held to try and help a local radio station KP.LU get the funds it needed to stay open. Intrigued he walked over and talked to the listeners and the people who worked at the radio. The love people had for the station moved him and he decided to help, which eventually ended up with him buying the station and revitalizing it. While he still couldn’t bring himself to get back to making music of his own, his passion for it was still intense — so much so that he eventually came to not just own the station but DJ on it himself. 12 years later and Kalevi, his smooth voice and his evening block of eclectic music are a staple of the Port Leiry area.

Things however have not been happily ever after for Kalevi since settling in Port Le.iry. Bad luck seems to loom over him no matter what he does. He does his best to ignore it and move on with life but that’s gotten harder and harder to do over time. Sometimes he feels like he’s cursed, like fate is mocking him for his past mistakes and punishing him. Sometimes he feels crazy.

Much of his song writing focuses around death, loss, love, devotion and obsession, when one looks at his discography it’s very clear he is still processing the loss as well as things like his own complex feelings about romantic love, depression and loneliness.

PLOTS

The Grudge: things have seemed to be bad for him for a while. He might think it’s just life, but really it’s a curse. Someone from his past is getting revenge, it could be warranted or it could be overblown. It doesn’t matter because either way, he needs to figure out how to break it before it kills him or he does the job himself. So some help would be nice.

Rekindling the Fire: it’s been a long time since Levi has truly made his own music and engaged in his passion. Maybe it’s time for him to regain that fire and work on a new album….

Bleeding Heart: Just give him someone to worry about or cry over.

According to sources Timmy is in love with her, they have been seeing each for a long time, they share heart jewellery etc. They were spotted in France in his childhood hometown buying heart jewellery to share etc, etc ... his mom made a comment about kylie jenner and her family being "anathema" to the chalamet family values because of their sickening "overspending, plastic surgery and lack of education" and that she was worried about kylie's influence over her son. So it must be serious. Surely Nicole would not have risked those comments otherwise.

That’s it. He knows. They certainly talked about it. He knows his boyfriend better than us. Of course the excuses were a bit cheap, nobody has to accept them, plus he erased them, but what else can he do ?

He posted the stupid bad jokes, because there were obviously ‘jokes’ from a stupid kid, not famous, in a context that we don’t know, about awful things of course, but like a lot of stupid kids are posting everyday, and nobody talk about that because we don’t care about these kids. 

I mean, two of my favourites Youtube channels are making terrible jokes, racist, sexist, homophobic, and you know what ? I’m laughing. Because I know they are not thinking that. The situation is funny, the tone is funny, not what they are saying. They are mocking the people who really think that at the end. They also have limits and don’t talk about certain subjects. Eric didn’t had these limits on his twitter at the time for sure. Is it bad ? Maybe yes. Did he wanted to hurt people ? I don’t think so. Did he do that recently ? No. Did he changed ? I hope so, maybe. 

So you can be mad about what he did. I’m a bit mad, some of the posts were truly despicable, but you can’t be surprised either when he doesn’t answer, because he doesn’t see what he can do now, and when his boyfriend defends him, not for what he posted, but against the insults and bullying...
