FEVER STATE // stage i // status
Day 1 - Monday
Isha was on janitorial the morning of Monday, January 3rd. Around 10am she began emptying rubbish bins, as she was supposed to but started to notice some appeared to be missing and thought she was just going to have an easy day. After going to three different classrooms with no rubbish bins and the smell of vomit lingering in the air, Isha began to feel light-headed herself. The girl tried to continue on, spraying air freshener as she went but the smell became too much and she also fell ill. Following vomiting up her entire breakfast onto the classroom floor, Isha abandoned her chores and barely made it back to her dorm without fainting. The girl crawled into her bed but had a hard time sleeping for the first few hours with the vomiting and a fever that seemed to steadily rise. She was miserable but from what she could tell, was doing better than most. She was just glad she didn’t have to make an appearance at the infirmary.
Day 2 - Tuesday
On Tuesday, Isha felt like death had slapped her in the face. She was still vomiting, but at this point, there was nothing really left to vomit up so she was just dry heaving and struggling to keep down water. She was a trooper most of the day, sticking it out in the dormitory. But when a staff member took her vitals, they realized her blood pressure had dropped and she was very dehydrated. The girl tried to put up a fight about going to the infirmary but the battle was quickly lost when she fainted.

fever state: stage one || status/plotter ii (update)
Day Two (Tuesday): Mouse is rendered immobile for the entire day, due to underestimating the power of the bug and being a stubborn little idiot who wouldn’t get off his feet on Monday. Location TBD, but not the infirmary.

I’m All Ears || Percy & Rhys
[This day couldn’t get any worse.
Rhys thought at some point during the day when matters could indeed get any worse.
He was walking around like a zombie with serious hearing issues.
People were constantly talking to him.
Although that had gotten somewhat less, because a lot of people had been send back to their houses, and only the worst cases remained in the Infirmary.
Rhys was still sort of helping, especially with the IVs, which meant he was allowed to stay.
Also nobody told him to go.
Also he was afraid that if he did go, the sound of puking would return tenfold, because here people were mostly passing out, while at Brink he guessed there was still some vomiting going on.
So he stayed.
He had just helped one of the still capable people around the place unplug someone from their IVs so they could be send home, when he turned and found himself eye in eye with Percy.
So the day could get worse still.
He didn’t want her to see him while he was all sweaty and terrible and unable to hear anyone. So he quickly tried to explain himself before he could confuse an other individual.]
I popped my ears so I can’t hear much more than fish tank noises!
[He was still shouting, but he had adjusted his voice level based on one angry person who had written “YOU ARE SHOUTING!!!!!!!!!!” on a notepad and handed it to him. He still carried the piece of paper with him, and if people gave him a confused look, he would give them the paper, and then point at himself. Just in case he was shouting again.
He felt pretty stupid for still trying to hear his own voice, while after all these hours he should’ve become adjusted to not hearing much of anything aside from the Colony 22 ambience track.]

Fever State ; Stage 1
Plotter/Status
Once the symptoms started showing with Quinn as well, somewhere after lunch, later than most, but still pretty early on, he decided it wasn’t worth it to face everyone in the Colony looking like a sweaty mess. Because despite the fact that everyone was sick, he knew his pale face and wobbly stride would draw a lot more eyes than anyone else. Instead he warned other members of the NWRF that he would be checking coms, trying to gain information from other Colonies about the status, wondering if their Colony had been the only one hit by this mysterious virus. Wandering around the small office with about four blankets and a small assortment of water bottles - although he dares to only take a single sip every half an hour - Quinn knows he cannot leave the room unless absolutely necessary. If they survive this virus, and it passes or proves some new distraction from their enemies in the Wastes, than at least Quinn will not have been seen.
For Quinn, given his “situation”, I’m only open to plots with other members of the NWRF who are aware of where he’s hauled up. I don’t see him for the kind of individual who will wander the hallways of Colony 22 knowing what kind of damage that can do to his reputation.

fever state: stage one STATUS
Roza isn’t a fan of what is going on, but then again, who is? She has excellent training in ignoring the fact that she feels like dying herself as long as there are others to take care of and so she flutters around trying to help wherever she can on the first day. Silently wondering if they are all going to die of the flu now, because that would be something, wouldn’t it. She’s getting worse throughout the day and by early afternoon looks like something out of a horror movie until she crawls into an empty office like a wounded animal ready to die.
If anyone wants a slightly weird mother hen or something, hmu, I have my plotting pants on. Seriously. They’re amazing.

fever state: part i
cambie andrews: status
Cambie was one of the last to start experiencing symptoms. She was a little warm in the early afternoon, with a little discomfort in her stomach that could even be written off as anxiety. When she realised how severe things were getting around the Colony, she naturally flew into mama bear mode - she raided the janitorial closets for buckets, bowls, anything, to put by the bedsides in Delma for anyone that couldn’t make it to the bathroom, as well as water bottles and granola bars, a few pieces of fruit. As she distributed, she implored people to try and take a few bites of something, because the vomiting would hurt less if there was something other than stomach acid to bring up. She also left her own Elite suite door open, and invited people to use her own bathroom if the ones in their dorm were all in use.
She would also do something similar for Calyset, because she knew Mitch would be too sick but would want to ensure his Calysets are all looked after - Nouka didn’t seem to be putting herself on the front lines. Over the next few hours she did slowly begin to sweat, and she had to keep taking breaks as she grew dizzy. By the evening she was vomiting too, and knew the sickness had her. But, her symptoms are some of the least severe, so she’ll be helping out wherever she can - feeding people sips of water in the infirmary, running supplies where needed, helping the nurses clean people up, that sort of thing.

caelan whitmer: status
At midday, Kip was laughing at his roommates for puking. At one in the afternoon, he was puking. At two in the afternoon he was passed out on his bed, head resting on a vomit stained pillow, completely out of it. He was dragged to the infirmary by some kind soul - unable to keep a sip of water down, or lift his head from the pillow, Kip was quickly hooked up to some IV fluids that don’t seem to be doing much. He’ll spend most of the first two days lying mostly unconscious in bed, throwing up into his bedpan whenever he stirs. He’ll have absolutely no energy for his usual snark and smartarseness, so you know it’s bad.

dante carrington: status
Dante’s condition is moderate to severe, though he’ll truck on at the infirmary until he collapses. He’s vomiting a lot, struggling to keep water down, and his vision keeps going dark. He started experiencing the symptoms a little later than many, with a fever only seizing him at around lunchtime, but once he grew sick it escalated quickly. He won’t need IV fluids most likely, but he’ll struggle more and more as the day wears on. Unfortunately he is all about that #doctorlife and is unlikely to get proper rest in the near future.

annie perault : status
It takes Annie quite a while to realise she’s actually sick, and not just sleep deprived. Her symptoms are unpleasant, but nothing she’s not used to - a lot of chills, a lot of drifting in and out of consciousness. The occasional vomiting is as bad as it gets, so all in all she’s not looking too bad. Despite the fact that her symptoms aren’t the worst, she is still struggling to move much or get out of bed, because this bug on top of her usual state of exhaustion is a lot for her body to go through.

Fever state: Stage 1
Plotter/Status
Mink is out. Completely out. The nausea earned them a well awaited visit to the restrooms along with pretty much everyone else, which resulted in them puking for probably an hour in the garbage bin on the toilet. They learned quickly that the sound of other people vomiting was enough to make their stomach rumble for an other go as well. Mink didn’t know how they ended up in the infirmary hooked up to one of those IV thingies, but they’re pretty sure they passed out during an other vomit attack and were carried - though dragged would explain the bruises on their ankles - back there by someone. Mink has been saying some random shit throughout the day, as well as puking, having chills, shaking uncontrollably, and crying.
So, Mink is in a pretty bad state, and wouldn’t be worth much for interaction, although they love soft things at the moment, and crying about soft things. If anyone has a teddybear or a soft blanket hanging around, feel free to hit me up for possible plots.

Fever state: Stage 1
Plotter/Status
Zach became ill pretty much right after breakfast, experiencing chills in all his muscles and joints, followed by an extensive half an hour of vomiting up both his breakfast and the thee he was trying to have in between vomiting. Instead of continuing on hydrating himself and having to puke it all out again, he decided to not drink or eat anything for at least a while aside from a sip every half an hour. The nausea got less, but due to dehydration, he started to experience terrible headaches, and the feeling as if his whole shoulder and neck area was made of stone. All throughout the day he felt dizzy and extremely tired, together with the headaches and the shaking, he forced himself to talk as little as possible, and use only the muscles he absolutely needed for a task. Still, Zach cannot and will not sit still and let people help him if he cannot help people in return, so up until around 7 pm Monday evening - when he silently passes out on his own bed - he’s around and about offering buckets to fellow Torrens and handing out blankets.
I decided to close Zach off from the world a little bit and have him confined to Torren almost the whole day, so if any Torren - or someone who would be cool enough to disobey general law - would like some help or stare into the distance and cry, hmu!

Fever State ; Stage 1
Plotter/status
Rhys spend most of the morning dragging kids to the infirmary, too busy - and too aware of how he appeared to the kids - to allow himself to feel terrible. He appeared as if barely anything was the matter aside from the casual grunting and sweaty appearance. Eventually, when he had distributed every single one of the kids with a doctor, Rhys allowed himself to puke. There was a lot of puke, buckets and buckets filled - because he had a large breakfast - and in vomiting out not only food but also precious stomach fluids, Rhys managed to get such a sensory overload from both the people around him and the nose he made himself, that his ears popped, and he spend the rest of the day hearing everything as if he was in a huge underwater room, which also meant he is sort of deaf, because while he can hear EVERYTHING he can’t really hear ANYTHING. And because he can barely hear himself, he’s also shouting, and his ears hurt REALLY REALLY badly. Sometimes he wants to puke, but mostly when he’s trying to focus on some noise or other. So sitting through the pain is basically as much as he can do in order to not
Interactions with Rhys are going to be fun, bring your notepad. He’ll be around the infirmary mostly, because despite being pretty much useless, he wants to be around for the kids. So I’ll be hitting up some infirmary people! And if anyone wants to plot, you may send me messages as well ;)

Elly gets to the Infirmary quite early on, but she’s undeniably suffering. She’ll end up attached to an IV, and coming in and out of consciousness for a while, having never been particularly hearty in the first place. She’ll be rendered immobile, so if you want to plot with her it’ll be there, and she’ll be far quieter than usual. But she’ll be extremely comforted (and somewhat surprised tbh) if she gets visitors.

fever state: stage one || status/plotter
Mouse doesn’t think he’s sick at all, actually. He’s firmly rooted in denial, from the time it starts. If he’s pushed, he’ll probably admit he’s got bit of a headache, nothing he can’t handle. But the vomiting? The straight up burning fever, and that time he blacked out a little? Ehhh... well. Everyone else is sick, so---he’s just following the herd. It’s probably psychological, Empatheia bullshit maybe---but he’s fine.
It’s everybody around him that he’s concerned about. He’s frantically going around and taking stock of people, making sure they’re not alone and that they’re all accounted for. The Lost Boys have simplified things for him a little---they’ve all converged on Faith, in Calyset, and none of them is Infirmary-level tragic at the moment. So, currently Mouse is ignoring any kind of pain and discomfort, or any of the outright, staring-you-in-the-face symptoms he clearly has, and collecting supplies for them. And fighting off the sheer terror that’s threatening to overwhelm him from below, if he starts paying attention to himself.
For plot purposes, he looks like over-baked hell, and it’s gonna be hard to watch. He’ll think that he’s being pretty normal, pretty chill, and shrug off any concern about him---while simultaneously leaning against a wall for support, and vomiting into a trash bin. But in like... a chill way. You can find him probably anywhere around the Col, as he’s making sure he knows exactly where all of his friends are, and that they’re being looked after. But he’ll be checking back in with the Lost Boys in Calyset, until he either stops being able to move, or someone manages to sit him the fuck down.
Any and all plots are welcome <3<3

FEVER STATE: STAGE ONE
CHARACTER STUDY
Allie grows ill and frantic quite quickly, her empatheia coming to stress inducing levels as others begin to show worsening symptoms of the sickness. It doesn’t take long for the young woman to collapse. She’s found by a friend after having been unconscious for an undetermined amount of time, incredibly dehydrated and in a frightening condition. After being rushed to the infirmary Allie is currently hooked up to an IV and under intense aid, though she is awake (just barely) after having been consumed by the virus rather quickly. She is currently in rough shape- being one of the worst cases as of yet.
threads can be before her collapse or her present condition in the infirmary. I am also looking for a plot of who found her! If you would like to start something simply like this or hit me up for some plotting! Keep in mind that Allie is in a very rough state and may be a little loopy depending on the thread, as she may have just woken up.

FEVER STATE: STAGE ONE || plotter/character status
ALOIS VAN ASCH isn’t doing great but he’s doing better than most, and definitely better than he thinks he’s doing, because he turns into an enormous baby when he’s sick. He might make himself vaguely helpful for a while before a brief infirmary appearance, then will mostly mope around Calyset.
