Eddy is a good driver, albeit slightly aggressive but assertive when necessary and drives at least 10 mph over the speed limit. He is prone to a bit of road rage, loudly complaining about other drivers even when he is completely by himself. When anyone else weaves between lanes its “who gave you a license?”; when Eddy weaves its “why am I the only one that can drive around here?” *eye roll* Always running late so always in a rush. Pulled over multiple times for speeding in his late teens/early 20s and fucking hates cops and gave them a hard time. Considers getting a radar detector but thinks they are too ugly to put in his car.

In his early 20s he saves up to buy a fixer-upper vintage muscle car without factoring in the maintenance costs. The thing is a boat and makes parking a nightmare. He doesn’t end up keeping it for more than a few years. The musicophile that he is he always drives with jams and for longer trips he likes to curate playlists. Eddy is always happy to take the aux cord.

Edd is probably the worst driver of the three, primarily because he can be overly cautious and frazzled by erratic drivers or 16 wheelers or buses or bikers or pedestrians. He strictly drives the speed limit. Despises city driving because of how aggressive the other drivers are. The anxiety from driving quickly turns into rage and he is just as quick to shout his grievances behind the wheel as Eddy. He has ZERO patience for unsafe reckless drivers. Has a tendency to ride the brakes: if he were his own passenger he’d throw up. Also most annoying backseat driver. For anything that is no more than an hour bike ride he bikes. Big supporter of biking infrastructure and public transit for sustainability reasons.

Edd is also a weirdo and prefers to drive in silence with his thoughts (what freak wants to have thoughts??) possibly for longer drives he will listen to public radio or podcasts - shamelessly enjoys NPR.

Ed is the best driver of the bunch solely because he is the most even-keel. His downfall is that he easily gets distracted or bored. Has a bad habit of drifting out of the lane when something catches his eye and will look at his phone: surprisingly good at multitasking to a nearly impressive degree even though he absolutely shouldn’t. Edd would be so appalled.

The other catch: can’t park. Will not parallel park under any circumstances. Ed has May, Edd or Eddy do it for them. It is physically impossible for Ed to drive without music. Can’t do it. If he had no choice, he’d fill the silence by singing or talking to himself or getting EXTREMELY distracted to his own detriment. Loves gas station smell. Yum.
