I wish something more people understood about Moomin and Snufkin's relationship is that the pining is mutual. Snufkin keeps coming back to Moominvalley every spring for a reason. He also admires Moomin and wants his approval, that's where his inner conflict comes from. And Moomin isn't nearly as clingy as people think. In fact, he tries his best to avoid showing Snufkin how much he misses him, even though Snufkin can tell, and never asks him to stay. Also saying that their relationship could never work completely ignores the character development they got in the last two books which would've led to a healthier relationship between them had they reunited.

Look, accepting others even for aspects of their identity you don't understand is the bare minimum. Loving and appreciating them for their differences is actually really great.

DID/Plurality: More friends. You literally get to chill with more people for free. An entire friend-group even. People to talk to and laugh with and share stories about. I guess you might not get along with all of them but that's the same for other friends too.

Fictive/Fictionkin: If you miss your friend you can always go take a look at their source, and that's something you can talk about when you next see them! You get to see aspects of your friend without them even needing to say anything. Also if you like that character then you literally get to be friends with them.

Oherkin/Therian: Cats are cute. If your friend is a cat then you get to be friends with a cat. If your friend is a deer then you can live out that Snow White fantasy of befriending nature without any of the drawbacks. (Literally think about it for two seconds who wouldn't want to be a dragon or a computer program or something if they had the choice?)

I don't understand any of the above, but my life i enriched because of the people around me who do and who don't mind sharing these things about themselves with me.

The alternative is getting mad all the time, constantly grasping at straws and straining yourself to "prove" they're fake because somehow that makes you better than them? Hurting the people around you.

And even just ignoring and "accepting" it means you miss out on so much of who that person is. There will always be parts of them you will never know because you're uninterested in knowing them

when youre thinking about a character and a ship from a media you really liked in your childhood but the fandom they came from is dead and youre starved of Content but youre too afraid to watch the latest installment of the media bc everyone said it was shitty and from what youve seen and heard it does seem very shitty and a huge waste of potential

guys i fear i've come around to the kraken again and it's still all burky's fault. i just can't hate in good conscience any team that man is on. i miss my dumb swedish resident Silly Guy. and now listen, will i still hate them with every fiber of my being when they play the avs? of course. i have a grudge to hold yknow, gosh. but hey, against anyone but my teams they aren't half bad. i like the roster (minus COUGH vince dunn COUGH and occasionally grubi you traitor/lh) and they have good vibes when they aren't trying to break people's necks and complain about a bad hit that wasn't even half as bad as what came mere games later 🤗 .... maybe i'm lying tho. curse you media day and the rose tinted glasses you give me of every team each year before i inevitably get reminded of how i really feel
