Transcript:
This book focuses upon the life and times of the young and influential King named Ferdinand Trastamara. Known for his Unification of Italy, Tilda Crowndaddy chases rumour and his journey from shy Prince to the brave King of a United Italy.
We separate fact from fiction, whilst uncovering once lost letters shared between he and his sister, Grand Duchess Seraphina of Florence and the Princess of England, Beatrice Plantagenet.
We explore how Naples, once lost to sin and debauchery in the time of King Ferrante, was turned into a haven of wealth and culture; in thanks perhaps to it's open travellers mandate, it's wealth in trade routes and finally the influence from the near-by Ottoman Empire

THE SWEETEST ORANGE FROM NAVARRE, LUCREZIA DE VIDAURE
NOTE: No surviving portraits or sketches survive time, but as a lady-in-waiting from a family once owning a County with orange fields aplenty, it wouldn’t have been the norm for Lucrezia to have any formal sitting. Nonetheless, her whereabouts was mentioned in turn alongside Queen Alexandrina of France and the rest of the Aragonese royal household.
Contents.
i. acknowledgements ii. list of resources
Navarre and the Orange Fields
i. The ancestry of the de Vidaure family ii. Cordoba vs Aragon iii. The Aragonese court’s adoption of Lucrezia de Vidaure
Aragon’s retreat to Portugal
iv. Relationship to the Trastamara family v. Life in Portugal & Loyalty to Alexandrina
Paris, France
vi. Lady-in-waiting to the Queen of France vii. Her influence over the ladies of court
The Summit
viii. Reunion with the Trastamara, Lisbon ix. Relationship with Cristobal & Mateo Trastamara x. The Parisian Summit
Death & Public records
xi. Suspected disappearance - what did she know about the Aragonese murders? xii. Letters unearthed & notes recorded
Transcription if it’s hard to read!:
A story woven from mystery and the faceless figures who adorned the heroes tales with little to none appraisal. With work inspired by the professional of Queen Alexandrina of France, the name Lucrezia de Vidaure was taken from a long list of ladies-in-waiting, and worked upon with what little information that withstood the test of time.
We follow Lucrezia from her birth in Navarre to the war clashed between Cordoba and Aragon. We mourn her other, then her brothers and father - till she finds a peace beneath the Aragonese royal family.
We watch as she scrambles for lost dignity and position. The story of Lucrezia follows the relationship between a troubled Queen and a resourceful lady-in-waiting.
Part novel and part research, enter the world of Lucrezia.
#like before i tried to make a portrait for her but there are nO WOC portraits from that age !!!#and if there are#i dont know what theyre sources are !!!! and its so upsetting#:(#crhs.challenge#expect typos in all of these.... ooop

𝐏𝐋𝐎𝐓 𝐃𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐋𝐎𝐏𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐅 𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐄.
Following the events of the Lisbon Summit of 1458, the Castilian monarch remained in Portugal longer than was necessary in order to set the seal on trade relations between Portugal and Castile, two crowns bonded in an intense Catholic fervor and neighbored by the ever expanding Emirate of Cordoba. During this time, Alfonso attempted to improve the preexisting neutral to positive relations with the King and Queen of Portugal, with whom he maintains a power blockade to prevent the Emirate from expanding directly east and west. Rumours of the Holy Roman Empire’s recent upsets unnerve the King, but frequent correspondence with his mother in law the Empress assure him of her capabilities and exceptional fortitude in the face of adversity (November, 1459).
Upon returning to Castile by way of the Tagus, Alfonso and his court launch intense pageantry and celebration for the occasion of the King’s birthday: an event marked with passionate displays of fealty to both crown and country, albeit plagued by the enduring reminder that, while the King was hale and hearty, he had no son to succeed him as he rapidly approached his fortieth year. Behind closed doors, the vacant chill of the royal cradle continued to fester animosity between Alfonso and Queen Magdalena. Yet, unbeknownst to them, the new year would bring reason to suspect their fortune had turned...
The court also had reason to celebrate when Beatrice, Dowager Duchess of Burgundy (fondly called Beatriz, as the beloved niece of Queen Crara) sojourned in Toledo as a representative of the Portuguese crown, conveying with her missives and tidings from the court of Lisbon. Sumptuous arrangements were made to receive and host the Dowager Duchess in comfort and luxury, as it was with the Queen’s niece that Alfonso spent ample time, introducing her to the various castles, customs, and treasures strewn across the capital city. Brief was Alfonso’s royal progress, concluded by Yuletide celebrations in the city of Fermoselle, where King and Queen watched the court honour the birth of Christ with uninhibited displays of lobbying, favour-asking and favour-granting, commemorated under the guise of devotion and festivity. For whatever acrimony lingered between himself and Magdalena, Castile remained radiant in the face of it.
The most important plot development remains that ... !! Magdalena and Alfonso are now expecting a child. Given that their first child –– a son –– was born dead, this is an exceptionally important yet delicate time for the King and Queen, with few beside their inner circle privy to the Queen’s condition.

CROWNS CHALLENGE #3
location : les halles @beatriceplantagenet
a walk amongst what had been described to hürrem as a french bazaar sounded, in theory, to be the best thing to shake the parisian cobwebs from her mind; particularly as the emira herself never had the pleasure to venture into such a place. veiled and securely accompanied, she walked amongst strange faces and even stranger stalls with a sapphire gaze wandering over the treats and tokens for sale with great curiosity. an opportunity such as this had never arrived elsewhere in her life but it seemed the time to be spent in paris was to be fruitful indeed.
with her pace lacking in haste, it was clear the emira was of the most casual mind as no stall went unnoticed until a much more precious jewel came into sight. the dowager duchess of burgundy; beatrice plantagenet was a name which had reached hürrem’s ears with tones of intrigue and excitement, particularly upon the very recent announcement of her betrothal, and to pass by such a gem without recognition would surely be most inappropriate. a hand raised and her attendants came to a halt, the sultana’s smiling gaze latched onto the duchess before accompanying a bow of her head. “ your grace - a beautiful day, is it not? made even brighter by your pre-marital glow surely brought about by great joy. i offer you my most sincere of congratulations, your family must be so thrilled. ”
