I don鈥檛 use this stuff- I see a lot of people who do. It鈥檚 full of crap I wouldn鈥檛 want on my new baby.

Fragrance
I鈥檝e posted before about things I avoid and fragrance is huge! I see so many people who use scentsy, febreeze, room freshener, glade plug ins.. I can鈥檛! I don鈥檛 judge and I鈥檓 not perfect but it makes me cringe to see this stuff around babies after reading about how harmful it is. I still have perfume but I rarely use it. I have found using EO鈥檚 in jojoba oil is good. It isn鈥檛 as long lasting but it works. I do occasionally use perfume when we go out but I try not to around my kiddos. I used to love scented candles. I use a thieves spray with some geranium on my carpet in our bedroom sometimes. The thieves spray is also what my husband uses in his work truck and of course, vinegar. I started just throwing away things when I was pregnant. Scented candles were the first to go! I don鈥檛 use a ton of EO鈥檚 but I do love lavender and geranium.

Toddler snack! I don't give them fruit at meals (except for banana with breakfast) because they will eat them before anything else. They LOVE berries. Blueberry Larabar馃憠馃徎 one of the only processed snacks I really like and let's be honest.. it's easy to cut one up and easy for sitters to grab for them. Organic blackberries Organic strawberries They will share this! I also love these silicone plates and bowls!

Produce and when you can skip organic
I try and follow the dirty dozen when I buy organic! EWG.com had a list of the dirty dozen and clean 15 and will even send you a wallet guide. I will say I wash my produce REGARDLESS of organic/nonorganic. Veggie wash- they sell veggie wash at most grocery stores. I buy mine by the gallon at Whole Foods and spray and scrub or dilute and soak. You can also soak in vinegar and water. I peel my apples most of the time and find they have a ton of wax and residue. I steam veggies often and my kids love berries. 12 Most Contaminated Peaches Apples Sweet Bell Peppers Celery Nectarines Strawberries Cherries Pears Grapes (Imported) Spinach Lettuce Potatoes 12 Least Contaminated Onions Avocado Sweet Corn (Frozen) Pineapples Mango Asparagus Sweet Peas (Frozen) Kiwi Fruit Bananas Cabbage Broccoli Papaya

I've been posting a ton about food so I wanted to drop a link to a great site EWG.org and check out healthy home tips regarding flame retardants. They are found on almost all furniture, mattresses, car seats and even children's clothing! The chemical never leaves your system. I always look for the yellow tag saying "clothes should not be loose, not flame resistant" and avoid polyurethane foam in toys, activity mats for babies etc.

Deodorant is awful for you! Having toxic chemicals on your skin is said to be worse than ingesting because they are not filtered before entering the bloodstream. We use primal pit paste and it's worked well for us!

I use pacifica perfume and the products I've put on think dirty rate 2-3! I haven't checked out all their products but they follow IFRA standards. I love gardenia!

A great article/guide for laundry detergent! Mamas just pass on the DREFT! I make my own detergent but this article has good suggestions. You'll see a lot of references to EWG (good stuff).

Dr. Bronner's is my favorite! It's our body wash, dish soap, hand soap, laundry detergent, shampoo, household cleaner! Dilute in foam soap dispenser! My littles use baby Dr. Bronner's and for everything else I love lavender and rose! I use thieves for kitchen surfaces, bathroom etc.

Baby product update! I use silicone, stainless steel and glass. These are products I have purchased. I got ride it all plastic food storage and bought a big set of Pyrex to store food. I love the cup! It doesn't spill, easy to clean and better for their teeth.
