This chapter has a shit ton of stuff happening amirite? Alright! Let’s talk about Chapter 9!

We have so much of Slate whump, after receiving somuch Alan whump from the alst arc,now we see how much Halo has really done to other people.And how he could have been the possible reason why Purple lost his father (spoiler~). And the saddest thing, is that Purple nor Orchid knew :((.

While it is not explicitly said (yet) HSlate or let’s say Navy, has went the throught the same thing as Alan,but no one had came to get him back. Hence he has been stuck there, for many years (definitely). So the fact he had went through (possible) torture as well and now had worked underl Halo’s command for many years,he ahd also seen the horrors that Halo has done,and was not able to do anything about it.

Imagine all the guilt he feels :///. Fuck Halo mannnn.

And Alan, changing, surely everyone has seen that coming….. Right? We shouldn’t be suprised that he is acting like this considering Halo had forced him to fight in a ring. (there are also off cam moments that were not shown in the last arc, and would mostlyprobably be shown in this arc) So, be prepared for that, because Halo has done some shit.

Slate really was the person who shot Null,admitedly it as an accident due to him panicking and somehow going in by instinct. there are already hints that Slate was the person that Halo usually orders around to do the dirty work nd has been forced to hone his skills, especially with the gun. alan and Slate are really supposed to parallel each other.

But the difference is, Alan aws saved. And Slate was not.

So imagine if Alan was hypothetically not saved. He would have ended up like Slate.

Here is a small thing to note about the medication: It is the sme medication that Mauve is very interested in. The same medcation is highly addicting and the same medication that changes someone’s personality. Take that as a grain of salt for now <333 - S

Experimentation was used a lot by Halo before Alan had come into the picture, after all we don't exactly easily acquire super powered sticks. They need some kind of formula to "Cheat" somehow, after all Halo hated losing. And yes, they did manage to develop a "medicine" that somehow give their fighter's speed and strength temporarily. Though at a cost of being quite addicting and sometimes personality changing, depending on the age they had administered the "medication". So, it was quite normal for some of Halo's fighters to grow erratic, easy to anger and sometimes even crazy after consuming so much of the formula. (And I'm really glad that this can connect to your CS Corruption eeeeee)

And lmao, we love our awkward boy failure Slate, who can't even hold a proper conversation with someone his age, aka King LMAO. At least he gets to talk with Purple again!! I really love the part where he's just confused why MT is called King, then Purple tells him his name is Mango Tango, which made it much worse. Because who would call themselves Mango Tango willingly? LOL Slate, don't think about it too much, or your brain might explode, God created you not to think /j

Navy, Orchid and Purple. They seem so happy back then, what happened? What made Navy change into someone who would willingly hurt his kid? What changed him? And the bruise on his neck, what does it mean? And what…."medication"?

Alan just being Slate's opp is just hilarious, imagine him going out his way to go to Mauve's house, beat the shit out of Slate, break half the house, throw Slate through the wall, then stop when you're so-called enemy started crying in front of you LMAO. At least Alan has a heart, somewhere there.

My favorite part of this chapter is really just Slate crying because Alan broke half the house and not the fact Alan had beat the shit out of him. Like what? Slate has his priorities straight LMFAO. Bro is worried about Mauve's house more than his own wellbeing, this boy failure istg.

I'm glad that Alan finally found Null again, and yes, a little about Alan's side. How the memory wiper did work…...but somehow dreams and nightmares kept happening, showing all his memories…. How? That's weird, I wonder who would do that LOL.

I've got to agree with you, Victim really should have gone the more natural way to help Alan. Now he's probably a bit messed up in the head, because we all know Alan doesn't really remember anything but depends on his dreams. It's possible that his information can be wrong (kudos to you 06, don't think I can't see you planning on doing that /j).

This is indeed the part where Slate gets mysteriously hurt. Now that I've shown everyone how Halo does it and why he does it, I have to agree with you: Halo deserves to experience all the pain he has inflicted on others.

From Alan's perspective—eeek!—I’m at least glad that they are trying to change their ways with Alan, even though it falls a bit into morally grey territory, considering they intended to wipe Alan's memory clean and keep everything a secret. They really wanted to sweep it under the rug—tsk, tsk.

I also wonder where Ammy has gone. Hehe, maybe we’ll see more of her soon! :DDDDD

I really feel like Purple is the kind of character who would quickly notice something is wrong. However, as mentioned here, he never really thought about it that much, even if he did notice there was something slightly off with Alan. He’s just like his father! XDD

And finally! Slate gets some rest after working under Halo for so many years! Finally! Get some rest, you little boy failure! XDDDD We all know Slate has become so accustomed to not sleeping much, especially with Halo's training and those "missions" he was forced to take on. As for eating, Slate never touched any of the food that Mauve bought because he was afraid that if he ate too much, both Mauve and Alice would go without food. So instead, he just eats a little bit of the food at the store where he works (MY POOR BOY!).

And poor Canary. We all know she's just a young kid, her mind filled with anger and hatred towards Chosen and Dark for killing someone she loves so much: her sister. DDD: She's just a kid… How could you, Halo?

Then there’s poor Slate. He knew what Halo would do and what he had done, yet he also understood that there was nothing he could do but let it unfold. After all, he has witnessed Halo's treatment.

In another meeting between Slate and Alan, we can all agree that it must have been hard for Slate to see Alan in such a casual outfit after being accustomed to seeing him in a muzzle. If I were in Slate's position, I would feel weirded out too.

Of course, like father, like son—Slate already suspected something was wrong with Alan. While he wasn't as close to Alan as Null was, he could still tell. How did he know? Well, let’s remember that Slate has seen everything in the arena. He has watched other stick figures descend into madness from being forced to fight, and he has seen others die. He recognized that “look” in Alan's eyes; he had seen it many times before!

Let us also thank Agent for saving our poor baby boy Slate! xDDD Otherwise, Alan might have knocked Slate's head off his shoulders! LMAO (I remember that time Slate asked Alan not to tell Dark they had met again, and Alan gave him the passive-aggressive threat that it wasn’t Dark he should be scared of. LOL)

Let's gooooo, let's talk about Chapter 6!! Yahooo!

Oh man, we run into Alan again, and I can’t lie, it’s great to see him, but there’s definitely something off about him. Even Slate seems a bit unsure, haha. Most of the time, Slate’s just trying to figure out if Alan’s so traumatized that he forgot who they are or if something else is going on. And since Mauve mentioned that it’s not totally out of the question, it’s got everyone wondering. Is Alan putting on an act, or is it something deeper? Is this really Alan, or is it 06? What on earth is actually happening?!

And get this, the whole reason Alan got shot in Null's kitchen was Slate’s doing. We all know he’s crazy skilled with a gun, and the fact that Alan was invisible at the time makes it even wilder. Slate must've caught a glimpse of the air ripple that made Alan visible and managed to hit him right in a dangerous spot. If Null hadn’t acted fast, Alan could’ve seriously bled out. It’s kind of scary how good Slate is with guns. Plus, hand-to-hand combat? Yikes! He might actually be the second person who could take on a hollowhead—after King, of course, since we know he can hold his own with that staff of his, haha.

And poor Slate, he’s feeling pretty guilty about the whole thing, even though it was just part of the job. He didn’t even know Alan back then, but of course, he had to take the shot. And Mauve, sometimes you really need to watch what you say! Now you’ve gone and made Slate feel bad. DD:

Purple and Slate are finally spending some quality time together, and it’s about time! Honestly, Navy was such a shithead, but Slate is finally giving Purple the closure he needed. It cracks me up how Slate calls Purple a sweet and kind kid, totally unaware that this dude has probably done some sketchy Minecraft stuff with his dad (aka King). LMAO! And let’s be real—Slate’s probably done worse! They’re just trying to one-up each other in the funniest way.

Slate is literally losing sleep trying to perfect his aim—classic Halo training. After years of working under Halo, I guess he just got used to it or doesn't even bother sleeping anymore. I’m low-key curious if you guys want me to share what Alice's, Slate's, and Mauve's daily schedules look like—if you guys are interested, of course! And I'm really glad to see Mauve and Slate had a heart-to-heart; they definitely needed that.
