Volunteer opportunity - Mementos textiles & reminiscence project

Poole Arts Service is working with Prama on Mementos - a reminiscence and textiles-based art project for people living with dementia and their carers. We require sociable, supportive volunteers with excellent crafting skills to support people with dementia to fully participate in the project. The group will be led by experienced artists and you will be working closely with them using a range of textiles processes. You will be required to give practical help to participants with their projects. You will also be asked to support with other tasks such as setting up the room and equipment and supporting group members with refreshments.

Mementos takes place at Cynthia House (sheltered housing common room), Cynthia Close, Parkstone BH12 3JD on Thursdays from Thursday 16th February 9:30am to 12:30pm every week for 16 weeks.

This opportunity with Culture Volunteers Poole will require a regular commitment. Informal discussion with Project Supervisor required.
