Cyathodes glauca | Purple Cheeseberry | Ericaceae | Tasmanian endemic⁠ ⁠ 🍃⁠ ⁠ If you don't catch this one with flowers at some time in late spring to summer, you will probably still find it with it's little white or red or purple drupe. A drupe being like a little squished berry, but not a berry, because berries are different... ⁠ ⁠ 🌿⁠ ⁠ Generally found through wet forests up to about 1000m and at lower altitudes. It is a pretty common one and chances are you have come across it before, especially if frequent walks around mountains. Naturally it is one of my favourites, at any time of year really, when it is in flower, or when the drupes are all purple and fresh, or like here when it has new growth ready to explode.
