Morbid Pretending
She mosied out
Of her domicile
To get supplies
In the wee hours
Of the morning
She would be stir-crazier
If not for needing a few items at home
So she left the house
This would a long walk
But she was particular
With what she needed and how
To get to her destination
She decided that,
As she walked, she'd pretend
Pretend a great catastrophe happened
And that it spared her
It was morbid
To pretend that the world ended
And that she survived
However, to her, it made sense
Everyone else may as well have been dead
Killed by whatever catastrophe
Her mind could conjure
One could say
She was pretending so morbidly
To keep herself sane and rational
In a chaotic time
To her, during that walk,
The world had ended and she was
One of the few that were spared
It was probably fun
