summary—in 2019, kang dami, was lucky enough to be given a spot as a stylist at sm entertainment. shadowing multiple stylists before officially becoming a full time staff member in 2020 and started working mainly to be NCT Dream’s stylists. a story about an idol and a staff member sharing intimate temporary moments together. in which, they both lost the war.

Respectfully, why so much secrecy? Since the beginning, the secrecy has caused so much frustration, fighting and bullying. It wasn't privacy. It was secrecy. S and C said they weren't together but kept the flirting and "heart eyes" going. We know she was with Tony, but she never acted like it, all leaving room for shippers and others to speculate. We know she got married but if friends and family are on lock down with the whole truth, why post anything at all? It's an exhausting game.

From my perspective, Sam and Cait are entitled to be as private as they want to be. Would I have liked them to be more open sometimes? Sure.  But would it have stopped the extreme shipping if they had? No, I don’t think so. Look at the Damies who know that Jamie Dornan is married with 3 children and they still came up with ridiculous conspiracy theories involving Jamie and his co-star Dakota Johnson. IMO, everything probably would have happened in a similar way even if they had been more open with their personal lives.

Sadly, I still think many Outlander fans don’t seem to know much about how Hollywood sells shows and how actors can be touchy feely with each other. Cait and Sam are just like the romantic leads in most other movies and TV shows who are expected to play up their chemistry to sell their show; there is nothing disrespectful about it. Anyone who is romantically involved with an actor understands this. Tony seems to be a man who is not comfortable with PDA. Cait loves him and so respects his boundaries in public. It is not unusual for many long-term couples to show little if any PDA in public (see POST). It has nothing to do with how much they care for each other. 

I can understand your frustration regarding all of this but I want to remind you that Cait has a reason to be secretive about her wedding and to be avoiding posting wedding photos. The truth is some (certainly NOT all) extreme shippers have been awful to Tony and to Cait ever since the engagement.

One very nasty post around the time of the engagement was made by SIS Brazil. It was a manip of Cait and Tony dressed as an old fashion bride and groom, with Cait looking very distressed. Under the photo the caption read, “CONGRATULATIONS to the very happy newly engaged couple!!!!!”

I can’t bring myself to post the whole awful thing, so I’m just going to post a detail from it–Cait’s manipulated head.

ES bloggers posted it and laughed at it and the whole thing was very cruel.

It was widely discussed, so I’m sure that Cait knew about it.  I want to remind you that Terry once said that everyone on Outlander tells everyone else on the show the gossip about them they saw on social media–so Cait knows.

I understand shipping. I used to be a SamCait shipper. I don’t understand the need to hate on others because they interfere with your ship.

If I had to guess, this is why Cait isn’t posting photos from the wedding. If this fandom is capable of this level of vitriol over an engagement, why would she risk herself and her husband being fodder for all the hate some of these women are clearly capable of displaying?

Unfortunately as a fandom, we all suffer because of it. 

And no, I don’t think Cait and her friends are playing “games.” Her friends are of course going to post some things that hint about the weekend. But wedding photos–no. Not when Cait and Tony might be publicly ridiculed.
