Recording of a walk through Rue Dansaert on a autumn day in Brussels. Sounds of construction, busses and heavy traffic flow in dense neighbourhood. Even the very limited amount of cars results in a tremendously loud environment, almost overwhelming every other sound.

My sibling names Tatort/Polizeiruf characters
AN: My sibling does not speak German so these are largely Belgian names. Most of them fit surprisingly well though imho.
Name: Koen
Additional Comment: He looks like he drives a box bike.
Tumblr media
(Peter Faber - Tatort Dortmund)
2. Name: Dimitri. People would call him Dimi.
Additional Comment: He looks so tired. Like he was a school principal in a previous life.
Tumblr media
(Alexander "Sascha" Bukow - Polizeiruf Rostock)
3. Name: Wilma.
Additional Comment: She kind of looks like a Saartje but that sounds too young so I’m calling her Wilma (?) Wilma sounds more troubled, I think it fits her.
4. Name: Stef, short for Stefan.
Additional Comment: He is very old.
Tumblr media
(Julia Grosz & Thorsten Falke - Tatort Hamburg & Umg.)
5. Name: Thomas.
Additional Comment: He looks like he comes from Antwerp (it’s the puffer jacket). Also his jawline is too buff for a more "twinky" name.
Tumblr media
(Kalli Hammermann - Tatort München)
6. Name: Frank.
Additional Comment: In the left picture he looks like a mix of young and old Frank Deboosere.
7. Name: Marcel.
Additional Comment: He’s the kind of guy you’d meet in some café in the Dansaert quarter in the eighties going for drinks with his mates. Love the curls.
Tumblr media
(Ivo Batic & Franz Leitmayr - Tatort München)
8. Name: Leo, short for Leonard.
Additional Comment: He looks like my philosophy teacher but not depressed.
Tumblr media
(Felix Stark - Tatort Berlin)
9. Name: Camille.
Additional Comment: She looks like she shops in the Avenue Louise and comes from a good catholic family but also makes her own money. The blazer does a lot to give her that image, I think.
Tumblr media
(Johanna Stern - Tatort Ludwigshafen)
10. Name: Daniela.
Additional Comment: She looks like professor Trelawney. I think she'd be a history teacher who makes pottery on the weekends.
Tumblr media
(Bibi Fellner - Tatort Wien)

“The [Belgian] parliament of 1880. I’m going to read some names at random.
Jean Notelteirs, notary. Antoine Dansaert, banker. Eugène Mees, factory boss. Eugène Goblet d'Alviella, a count.
Is it starting to become clear? 145 elected, all rich stinkers with important positions.
And no ordinary person. Not a worker.
The result is that there is no social legislation.”

dansaert
She'd like a dog and some plants and a cozy little place somewhere in Dansaert. A house that breathes mystery and where the paint on the walls is so perfectly faded it all feels very timeless.
Perhaps it would be a very godless place.
The simmering ashes of last spring's love letters would flood her apartment with the daunting scent of history and maybe even that of a careful, costly victory.
Costly? Yes, far too costly. Far too painful. Still, it's better than no change at all.
But it’s the kind of victory that's best suffered in silence.
