Kneeling Statue of Osorkon III
Third Intermediate Period, 23rd Dynasty, ca. 837-728 BC. Limestone. Found in 1904-05, Karnak Cachette. Now in the Egyptian Museum, Cairo. JE 37426; CG 42197
The statue depicting king Osorkon III kneeling and pushing a barque of Seker, red color on headdress and kilt, possibly an undercoat for gilding, now lost.
Osorkon III ruled during the 8th century BC as part of the 23rd Dynasty. He was known for his military campaigns and efforts to restore stability to the kingdom during a time of political turmoil.
Osorkon III’s precise accession date is unknown. Various Egyptologists have suggested it may have been from around the mid-790s BC to as late as 787 BC. He is attested by numerous impressive donation stelae and stone blocks from Herakleopolis Magna through to Thebes.

The Adventure of London Tea
WHERE: Lady Deverell’s Tea Room, London WHEN: May 23th, 1904 WHO: Florence Talbot | @soleil-timide
There were many things about London that Dinah did not love, and sometimes they felt so many that she could not keep count of them. Especially when it came to social activities. Yet, if there was one of such activities that she did not dread, it was going to Lady Deverell’s Tea Room.
Oh, it had been nerve-wrecking in the past, going to such a beautiful place, surrounded by beautiful and accomplished women, feeling like she could never measure up to any of them; but the beauty of the place was its diversity. And among all those great women, she had found some who were alike in sensibility.
So, when she had promised Florence to show her Dinah’s London, she knew she wanted to bring her here.
“I hope you have an appetite, because the sandwiches are not to pass up,” Dinah said, with an enthusiasm she rarely find herself display when in London if not on such rare occasions. though this time, it was made more special by Florence’s presence. “Do you want to sit here, or try upstairs?” she asked, as they entered the Tea Room.
Room didn’t make justice to it, for the place was vast and crowded with women. Yet, not so much that they should be packed like sardines or businessmen on lunch hour at a café.

Happy Birthday Joan Crawford!!!
(March 23rd, 1904 - May 10th, 1977)
"In private life, Joan was a lovable, sentimental creature. A loyal and generous friend, very thoughtful--dear Joan, she forgot nothing: names, dates, obligations. These included the people at Hollywood institutions who had helped to make and keep her a star. When it was fashionable to rail against the studio system and the tycoons who had built it, she was always warm in their defense. She spoke of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer as a family in which she was directed and protected, provided with fine stories and just about every great male star to play opposite; later, she built up a similar relationship with Warners."

Old & New Together
Tumblr media
(I have not been out riding in the city as of late for obvious reasons, so I haven’t been shooting much. Instead, I’ve been taking virtual bike rides by looking through my photos, which are sorted by date and titled by destination, enabling me to pull up any adventure and be instantly transported back there. It’s amazing how much I can remember just by looking at a few pics. I can summon up not just the shooting of the images but all of the “connective matter” from the rides — the route I took, interesting characters I may have encountered, the bodega where I stopped to get a Gatorade …  So, for the foreseeable future, I will be sharing photos that I took a while ago but never got around to sharing until now.)
Countless articles have addressed the issue of the old New York vanishing right before our eyes. The old stores and buildings of our — or at least my — youth, are being replaced by chain stores and soulless glass and chrome structures at an accelerated clip. By the time we see the sign in the window — “We’ve been here for 75 years, but the landlord just increased our rent 8000% so we are forced to close” — it’s too late.
I was on 23rd and Park last fall, and was struck by the juxtaposition of the old and the new right up against each other. The old building in front is not famous. It doesn’t even have a name. It is simply “304 East 23rd.” But what a fantastic history: Built in 1904 by the same firm that built numerous projects for the Astor family, it included two penthouses  — one for Jules Guerin, who did the murals for the Lincoln Memorial and the old Pennsylvania Station, and the other for the building’s then-owner, Bill Kenny, who let his old friend, Governor Al Smith, use it as a private office. I knew none of this when I shot it. I only cared about the beautiful details on the building’s frieze. It’s an understatement to say, “They don’t make ‘em like that anymore.”
The newer building behind it is Madison Square Park Tower, where the penthouse was going for $77.7 million (not a typo, I checked that three times). While I don’t doubt the views are spectacular, the building’s architecture leaves me a bit cold. And yet, one of the building’s interior designers had this to say, “The addition of Madison Square Park Tower to the New York City skyline is a continuum of the precedent of the city’s historic 'jewels in the sky,’ joining the ranks of the MetLife Building, the Chrysler Building, the Empire State Building, the Con Edison Building, and the Flatiron Building.”
To use an old trustworthy Queens expression, “No #!$!&! way!

thelostspecial - numbers
Tumblr media
We all saw this in the page code. But what is MMTE? I tried some numbers. MMTE 6683 (on the phone) 1313205 (english alphabet) I’ve googled some streets and that’s what I’ve got: - 6683 Marylebon Road
Tumblr media
and - 13205 Baker Street
Tumblr media
But that’s just the BEGINNING. I’ve continued with Bible (that may mean nothing, but I tried all possible variants I could think of). We have John 6:6-8, John 13:13-20 and John 13:5.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Those are pretty meaningfull if you think about them, linking thm with Sherlock. Let’s don’t forget that it’s JOHN. After Bible I turned to rationalism and started to look for numbers. That’s what I figured out: 1313205/ 1+3+1+3+2+0+5=15; 13+20+5=38 13.9.16/ 13+9+16=38 6683/ 6+6+8+3=23 15(1313205)+23(6683)=38 83-66=17 1+3+2+0+5=11 There’s also a date 1904 and 1881.
Tumblr media
1904-1881=23 What a funny coincidence with numbers. However, that’s not the end of my searches. I looked through The Valley of Fear and som of the chapters: Sherlock Holmes Discourses (2), A Dawning Light (6) and Danger (13), and I tried to search for some words, which are equal to numbers. Some of them I’ve got according to my own numbers. Chapter 2 those  friend  be  overstatement  shocked  his 5          11      15      17                  23       38 Chapter 6 many   to  returned  to   village   which 5         11      15      17     23       38 Chapter 13 of   who   appointed   Deacon  day   that 5     11       15               17       23    38 AND we still got ‘terror’ - the ninth word. I continued searching and now I have 38 Deacon Way, which is near the ELEPHANT & CASTLE STATION
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Elephant & Castle has postcode districts which are similar with the numbers I got earlier. And now I’m reading about the Great London Fire (honestly I don’t remember how I even ended up there, BUT) the fire lasted for 4 days from 2nd September, Sunday till 5th September, Wednesday in 1666 (count: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday). There are 4 days and 1+6+6+6=19+4 days=23. There are TOO MANY coincidences that make me nervous. TOO MANY NUMBERS that can’t be ignored, can’t be put off.  I always got 38 or 23. They must mean something. They aren’t just numbers. If you go on and Google streets, you’ll find 23 Baker St, 3866 Baker Street and yes, let’s not forget about 23 NORBURY COURT ROAD AND LONDON ROAD, which cross, so do Marylebon Road and Baker Street. BTW, 221b Baker Street - 22+1=23. There has never been 221b Baker Street. London only has 22 postcode areas. 23rd is the lost one? Also, there was a fire in London in 1632.
THERE ARE TWO NUMBERS 38 AND 23. Look for them. They are everywhere. They are connected.
The Lost Special IS REAL.
