a red sock unraveled in my laundry and the one long thread tangled all through my sheets made it look like I accidentally put my true love through the wash
#onion’s nighttime thoughts#metaphor?#it was one of those cheap hunting socks#I think I was using it to put tennis balls in to massage my head#(a real thing PT’s tell you to do)#(ah the humble tennis ball. the physician’s greatest tool)#(great for the bottoms of walkers and also more examples)#(my brain wants me to joke that Balto carried a crate of tennis balls and one of those tennis ball shooter machines to Nome Alaska)#(and shot them at all the sick kids which didn’t exactly cure them but definitely kept them guessing)#(idk brain that one might not connect the dots so seamlessly)#daytime onion here: yeah ok I’ll post that
