sometimes he’ll cuddle. usually he ends up as little spoon, but throughout the night he’ll push them away and curl up at the furthest end of the bed. if he doesn’t cuddle with his partner, he’ll just go straight to the furthest end of the bed and fall asleep there.

      finn tries not to look as nervous as he feels, walking into the bakery for the first time in weeks. he hasn’t spoken to angus since that night, although his finger has often lingered on the other’s name in his phone ( he hasn’t had the heart to erase the ridiculous name he’d saved him under, either, nor any of the equally ridiculous emojis ). he had wondered, for the first week after their break-up, if it wasn’t better to just let angus go altogether --- finn had fucked up so badly, so embarrassingly. angus was never going to look at him the same way again regardless of what he did. but then came the second week, & the third. it had to be some kind of self-punishment, the way he couldn’t stop thinking about how angus had been in high school --- how cute he’d found him then, innocently so, & how much he’d enjoyed spending time with him even before he’d started crushing, before they’d gotten together. he’d hurt his best friend. so although finn is well-aware that he doesn’t quite deserve the forgiveness, he knows that he has to at least try to make things right. maybe now that it’s not so fresh, now that they’re not mid-fight and hurting ( well, he is hurting --- but he sort of hopes that angus won’t be quite as much ), it’ll be possible. it’s with this thought in mind that he approaches the counter, heart kicking up a notch when he catches sight of the head of brown hair just behind it. a deep breath --- he still has a chance to leave, he hasn’t been noticed yet, he thinks in a near-panicked moment of weakness --- & then he reaches his destination blurts:  ❛  hey.  ❜
