post apocalypse au where the plot of stranger things doesn't happen but vecna still tears the world open and brings the upside down right side up. and the scattered people who managed to survive the initial earthquakes and power outages and complete breakdown of society have to contend not only with creatures from the upside down trying to eat them, but also with what the bleeding of an alternate dimension into their reality is doing to their bodies
people with prolonged exposure to larger tears seem to be slowly changed into something else, like some radioactivity from the dimension is mutating them. people grow claws, or leathery wings, or their face peels open, or they turn into unrecognisable piles of eldritch goo. there's vampires, were-demogorgons, flayed, weird ghosts, and the number of super powered people like el was in the show skyrockets
other people who manage avoid this fate shun those that fell to it. and to an extent it's reasonable, some people who get changed in this way completely lose their humanity, like the flayed, and while others retain it it probably doesn't seem that way when a vampire-like person needs human blood to survive. but a lot of people are just as terrified of the changes happening to them as other people are, and while they may not be harmless, they'd much rather use their new biological advantages to keep people safe
despite this, people that have been 'corroded' by the upside down are ostracised, feared, sometimes outright hunted by regular humans. so sometimes, they band together. form their own little apocalypse groups
eddie is in one of those groups. he wouldn't say he's the leader, bc they don't really have a hierarchical structure and eddie likes to think he's managed to maintain his anarchic ideals even in the face of the apocalypse. but he is the oldest, and the most scary looking (if not the most actually dangerous), so the combination of everyone being younger and his ability to scare off corroded-hunters that come looking for them means everyone else kind of follows his lead
so no one really questions when he comes back to camp one day holding two passed out humans. a mole-dotted man and a freckled woman, probably about eddie's age, who were injured and had crawled into a ruin building to die. and like. what was eddie supposed to do, leave them there??? no, gareth, it has nothing to do with how pretty the guy is. no, eddie doesn't know how they'll react when they wake up in the middle of a corroded camp, they'll cross that bridge when they get there. el says she senses that they're good people, so clearly everything will be fine actually!!!!!

You know, I'm glad that some of us take the step to embrace things that we like even if they're "cringe" or "objectively bad"
But perhaps we could take the next step forward and embrace the idea of reading into books/shows/movies/etc even if they don't seem deep. Perhaps we could understand that the two kinds of media aren't either "shallow and meaningless so you're weird and brainrotted to read into it" or "incredibly and profoundly deep in every way so if you don't analyze every single angle of the thing then you're brainrotted". Some media is deeper than others, but all I propose is that no matter how deep it seems it's acceptable to dig into the thing and take the media seriously instead of just assuming that because of ____ thing (such as target audience or how cringe it is) the media not deep and will never be deep and everything good about it happened on accident.

Now, I LOVE Supes getting his ass beat in more ways than one... but now I need to see the other JL members get SLAPED.
Especially Batman. He has kids! He should no better! And Robin should doesn't go all out n FIGHT his old bat-man.
Now I'm not big on the comic books. But didn't, like, all his kids die

Gotta admit, your bot rant intrigues me. I definetly agree with what you said and all but it makes curious, how you rewrite the bot plot to make it not as bad as it actually is given the choice? <:) (Also want to take this as oppurtunity to say I love your takes and art by the way!)
First Off: Omg Tysm That's So Sweet of You :]]]] 💕💕💕
Second Off: My Issue With the Bot Situation is I Feel It Squanders the Concept of Bot Being Based On Bow, a Person Who Did Exist and Also is Still Around. S3 Has Several People Who Knew Her, Her Miraculous Return From the Dead Should Raise a Couple of Eyebrows. I'm Not Crazy About Test Tube and Fan Making Her, I Feel Its a Odd They Did This When They Explicitly Learned Not to Project Their Feelings Onto Other Concious Beings Before, and Also I Simply Don't Think Either of Them are This Disrespectful. Both of Them Were on Marshmallow's Team, They (In Theory) Would Know How Much Bow Meant to Her.
S3 Keeps Gesturing At the Theme of a Show Being Dragged Out Long Past When It Should've Finished and I Think Bot Should Be a Thesis Character for This, and I Think the Weird Walkie Talkie Voice Should've Been Responsible for Her Existence. We Don't Know Anything About Walkie Talkie Because She Doesn't Do Anything, if She Did Make Bot That Would Make Sense With Her Whole Goal of Keeping ii Running and it Would Add Some Tension ans Complexity to the Series. How Did She Do This and Why? Are There Other People Involved? Isnt This Horribly Invasive? You Could Still Have Test Tube and Fan Adopt Bot or Whatever Idc But If She Was Made By a Shadowy Faceless Entity Using the Likeness of a Popular Dead Celebrity to Boost Ratings of a New TV Show That Would Say Something Right? There's a Statement Being Made Here, What's the Statement of Test Tube and Fan Making Bot Other Than "We Did Not Learn From the Egg Baby."
