Decor Hotel Design Award 2021

DECORHOTEL is the only fair held in Portugal dedicated exclusively to the hotel and related sectors, bringing together hundreds of companies that supply and support this important segment of the national economy.

Decor Hotel Design Award 2021 Competition

Given the current scenario, the fair will focus on technological tools for the tourism of the future, being essential for players that move in this sector. DECORHOTEL appears as a space that promotes the meeting between supply and demand, with a view to closing deals, and is a privileged opportunity to promote contacts between all professionals working in this area of activity.

The fair includes all areas necessary for the construction, refurbishment, remodeling and decoration of hotel units and the like, ranging from construction, architecture and interior design, decoration, textiles, equipment, management and technology, amenities and hygiene and cleaning products , furniture, lighting and outdoor equipment.

FRAMEWORK

Ideasforward is a competition platform founded in 2014, whose objective is to organize international architecture competitions.

At IF we believe that the future depends on valuing architecture through the education of society as a whole. Therefore, we feel the need to expand our activity through competitions, debates, exhibitions, training and collaboration with other entities that have the same goals as us.

This is how the partnership between IF and Exposalão was born, which, for the first time, launched the 1st edition of the architecture award, DECOR HOTEL DESIGN AWARD.

DECOR HOTEL DESIGN AWARD

Currently the hotel room has a standardized configuration, but society is more dynamic and demands other needs. Thus, a hotel room for a couple will not have the same requirements as a room for a business man/woman, or a family. In this sense, the contest aims to rethink this space in a critical and innovative way.

CONTEST MODEL

The contest will take place during a Decor Hotel 2021 on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of October at FIL (Lisbon International Fair).

On the 21st (opening of the fair) the contest briefing will be made available to all participants (previously registered). These will have until the 22nd to respond to the assumptions in the contest program.

The evaluation and awards will be made on the 23rd.

The contest is not in person and all proposals must be submitted for the organization of the contest through this email: [email protected]

LIVE STREAM

During the contest period, LIVE STREAM connections will be promoted with all participating teams.

Links to access them will be sent by email to all teams.

CONTEST PROGRAM

The contest program will be made available on the same day through a link available on the IF website.

Free. There is no associated application fee.
