For the past few years, I have been making shirt designs. Most of it has been Def Leppard themed. Fortunately, enough the group has seen some of the designs, I wore a few of them to my two Meet and Greets. Even got to show Rick Allen some last year at the Wentworth Art Gallery show I went to. He gave me first hand advice with the designs on what I should or shouldn't do and ways to avoid running into Copy Infringement with the group. I do have a few ideas for some 5SOS designs, I just need to find the time to sit down and open up Photoshop.

MGMT was formed by Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden in 2001 while at Wesleyan University. Since their first release, the EP Time To Pretend in 2005, MGMT have released four critically acclaimed albums: Oracular Spectacular (2008), Congratulations (2010), MGMT (2013), and Little Dark Age (2018).

The GRAMMY-nominated group released their debut album, Oracular Spectacular, in 2007 – the album spawned the commercially successful single “Electric Feel,” as well as the single “Kids” which garnered the band a GRAMMY nomination for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. As of recently, I HAVE NOT, I repeat HAVE NOT SHOWN these designs to any 5SOS Member or any of their Significant Others.I’ve posted these Wildflower/Easier Symbol Themes ones and a She’s So Perfect Tattoo Arrow Heart Themed Design up in one of my 5SOS Facebook Groups, and I got 5 Requests that Asked me If The Could or Wanted To Use These Designs For Their Next 5SOS Tattoos and One Request To Use Calum’s Design to Use for a Shirt. I didn’t expect that at all. I’m going to start posting them up now on Tumblr see what everyone thinks.

I had gotten some Design Theme Ideas back in March after CALM was released. Wildflower obviously was Calling Out My Name and Wanted Me To Do A Wildflower/ Easier Symbol Themed Design. It took me until May until, I finally made myself sit my ass down open up Photoshop and get together the Design Elements that I needed for these designs. It took a few months until I finally did some tweaks before I felt they were ready to be posted. Thankfully, the Sunflower that is used in these designs has been a drawing I did back in January 2018, that was made for part of a design that I had for Def Leppard Drummer Rick Allen, and last year would use for part of the design for a Rick Allen Raven Drum Themed Tattoo I had done. He did See It Twice. 

Once I had it Posted Up on Twitter after I had it Done, He saw it and Retweeted It, than the Following Week (September 4, 2019) when I Went To Las Vegas for Def Leppard’s Second Residency and I Had A Meet And Greet. He knows it’s One Of A Kind, it’s been the Only One like that he’s seen. His Signature Dog Tag that he Always Wears is part of the design. Rick always says “Celebrate Your Uniqueness”. I took that advice to heart and Didn’t Get Rick’s “Signature Stickman illustration, Autograph Signature” that Everyone who are Huge Rick Fans Always Get Inked. He’s probably sick of seeing be done as a tattoo repeatedly by now, so seeing mine was like a Breath Of Fresh Air and Originality.
