Extremadura has lost its typical green color, as evidenced when comparing Sentinel 2 images from May  2022 and 2023.

Despite the arrival of the autumn, extreme drought persists in Spain. The Yesa reservoir, a source of fresh water for tens of thousands of people, is at 16% of its capacity (the lowest value since 1980)
